But here is why: The buttery, smooth chocolate taste is devine! This is not your average chocolate. It is decadent. So is the $13.50 per candy bar is very high, but for a special occasion or a nice gift, do it! I want to also mention, it seems that when the chocolate trays are nearing expiration, they sell at a fraction of the price. Still delicious, so even on a budget you can enjoy. Came to visit today as part of the elite event. First off, it's very conveniently in Fife (not Puyallup!)- Puyallup indicates its affiliation with the tribe. Easy to find with several parking spots. I was greeted as I came in and I was so impressed by how knowledgeable and helpful everyone was. See pics of displays! I purchased some chocolates for family for this upcoming Mother's Day. One relative is mostly keto, so I purchased some dark chocolate almond bars for her, and the other is more flexible so I tried to get popular milk chocolate for her - a toffee bar, some grahams and some chocolate blueberries (help from Puyallup Chocolates!). They explained that since the chocolate is made by hand/by the batch, it's not necessarily a specific % cacao. I also noticed some bath products on the way out. No tax at the location, it's a nice way to buy local and I hope to be back for some more gifts in the future! It's also stocked at Tacoma Boys, Thriftways in the area, and Metropolitan Market! Went to check this place out, who doesn't love chocolate!! Great place to buy gifts on both a large scale and small. They even had some "less than perfect" sale chocolate! I learned about Puyallup Chocolates when they were handing out the samples with bags to carry around during The Taste NW. The samples they gave out were really good and I know I wanted to definitely support them again if I saw them. Luckily, I learned that they have a location nearby where I lived! I thought they were Puyallup based but it turns out that the name inspiration comes from the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. If you look inside the box of the chocolates, they actually have a map and language which is absolutely gorgeous. If you buy the box set, you'll see the salmon imagery that The Puyallup Tribe identify by. The staff here are very friendly and professionally, you can tell that they truly craft premium chocolates that reflects tradition. They were informing me about the history which I love hearing about. Also they were able to answer not only my questions but the questions of another patron too. The boxes are on display so be sure to let them know that which product you want so they will bring out your chocolates that they keep at the ideal temperature. They offer a box set, a gift box, bars or chocolate covered fruits/items, and other chocolates for you to enjoy. They do also have essential oils, bath soaks, and much more! Came here for a Yelp experience and it was fine. The chocolate is good. i was hoping we'd get a talk or someone to give us a little story about the chocolates, but it was some office manager who crossed off our name and handed us a bag of samples. Wow. So exciting. The office is impressive though. I'm guessing they use it as their showroom because they had lots of boxes on display describing what they had for sale with bulk corporate sizes. I must admit I love cacao 100% bitter, no sweeteners, but Pullayup Chocolate Experience may have unlocked a flavor palette I deprived myself of for years. I was equally impressed with all the chocolate samples in the gift packaging; in fact, it was onsite once I made it home. Flawless Victory!!!! I feel so fat! The experience was well organized and structured with a YES guest list validation and friendly interaction with the receptionist. I couldn't ask for anything more. It was ten years ago since I wrote a review for Puyallup Chocolates and it also appears that I was even there as I was under the impression I was enjoying their products for the first tike recently. So this actual revisit feels like a visit for the first time. This Chocolate place is more on the outlet side of things as well as distribution. So what that means is you are going to run into the situation where they are only open during the week and not on weekends. Steve was fortunate to have a day off and run on over to Fife and get some of their products. He got the Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers and the Chocolate Covered Mints. I pleaded to him to get the Chocolate Covered Fortune Cookies but it still slipped his mind. So I made an online order and that's real smooth to order off of their website. I had it shipped to my mailbox and that experience went really well. All of these Chocolates are amazing! The Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers were amazing, as were the mint cookies and the fortune cookies. Steve also bought Chocolate covered Peanuts which are good too! Really, I don't know if you can go wrong with any of the options here. read more

Love Emily's chocolates, but every time I come in they are out of milk chocolate covered almonds and the trail mix snack packs. The store isn't that big, I'm not sure why it difficult for them to kept product in rotation. If they ever figure out how to keep the shelves stocked, definitely stop by. Their product is tasty. I prefer the milk chocolate in the brown packages over the plastic packages they have. Samples are always available, which is really nice when trying to decide what to purchase. read more

Excuse me, have you heard of the deliciousness of Emily's Chocolates? You haven't? You MUST. The chocolates for usual purchase is delicious, super high quality, and...delicious. I can't stop saying delicious enough. This factory outlet store allows for locals to go purchase some at discount. Let's be real - I do not live in Washington. But when I'm in town, I always stop by Emily's Outlet, to see what's new and haul a load home. I've become a chocolate mule. Actually, I'm probably the largest supplier of Emily's Chocolates in the Bay Area... The factory itself is right next door (I mean, RIGHT next door), and its pretty awesome. The stuff they sell at the outlets may not be found anywhere else - they like to experiment with different flavors and combinations, and the decent (but not perfect) ones sometimes makes it to the outlets. Emily's is a bit pricier than say...Hershey's...but since I come from the land of Ghirardelli and See's Candies, I must comment on the affordability for the quality. They have a super nice staff person here, and she has a bunch of samples for you to try. There's really no going wrong, but my personal favorites are the Dark Chocolate Strawberries and the Macadamia nuts. Maybe also the cashews, even though they're not chocolates, only because they import the nuts direct and cook them in the factory. OH. The Mint Sandwiches are DELICIOUS too! Ahh...so many choices. Bought a Living Social deal for here. They sell Emily's at my work but it's pretty pricey. So when I found myself in Fife on a weekday decided it was time to do a little chocolate shopping. The lady who works there is super nice, informative and helpful. They had plenty of samples out. I ended up buying chocolate covered raisins (2nds), fortune cookies dipped in milk chocolate (1st and 2nds - I recommend buying the regular ones - the seconds had to much chocolate). Even with "outlet" pricing the regular items are pretty much the same as stores that sell them (about 10% less). They really try to push tea but the prices were really high and couldn't sample before I bought, so I passed on the tea. Decided I'm really not a huge chocolate covered fruit or nut fan but these are tasty. The peppermint marshmellows covered in chocolate tasted just like the winter holidays - will be back to pick up some of those. read more

I work down the street from Emily's chocolate & nuts and since I worked around the area, I've always seen their sign on 20th and frank Albert rd but never got the chance to stop by until today, on my lunch break I decided to walk there. I met Marlene (I believe I spelled her name right lol) at my job and she said they were open. Once I got there Marlene introduced me to all the goodness they had. I got a few samples and also bought their chocolate covered graham crackers and it was pretty darn good. I felt comfortable chatting with Marlene and it was great getting to know about the company and all the different chocolate covered treats and where everything comes from. This is a delicious and friendly company located in an industrial business park setting. The sign from the road says "Ames Chocolate", but once you pull into the parking lot, there is a small sign on the door that says Emily's Factory Outlet Store. We were stuck in bad traffic from Seattle on the way down, but the staff kindly waitedd for my friend to arrive, even though she got there a little after their 5 pm closing time. I was talking and joking with the staff and then later realized that one of the women I was chatting with was the owner! She is so down to earth, you would never know she was the owner of a delicious company! Ok, so for things you should buy, get the dark chocolate fortune cookies! I bought 3 bags (at a steal price of $6 for an enormous bag!) of dark chocolate, and they also have milk chocolate covered fortune cookies, but the dark chocolate is my favorite. They have factory seconds plus the regular retail pristine stuff. They also have some products to taste that they are trying out, so I will definitely be coming back soon as my fortune cookie stash is dwindling.
