It's a good value, clean, comfortable, and well kept in a town with not a lot of reasonably-priced choices. The ski shuttle is just around the corner and comes often, and being able to leave skis at Christy Sports overnight made it even easier. The afternoon cookies and all-day coffee/tea/cocoa are a nice touch, though the cookies run out fast. Breakfast is tasty but simple & carb-heavy: bagels, pastries, muffins, fruit, hardboiled eggs. The hotel is dog friendly, which can be a bit annoying since they don't seem to have any rule against leaving the dog. We stopped back for a bit around dinner time and there were dogs in two adjacent rooms constantly barking at each other. read more

We really loved our stay at the Old Town Inn in Jan. 2024. We appreciated the friendly & helpful staff, being dog-friendly, and the continental breakfast. The location is great - just a few blocks walk from charming downtown Crested Butte and an upscale supermarket across the street. We appreciated having access to a microwave and hot water/coffee at all times so we could save money and heat up our own meals. We had a clean comfortable room. there was a hot tub in a private area and a separate patio area with plenty of seating. Upon booking our room the staff member matched a price we saw on a separate website for a lower price. Most exceptional was a phone call we received after our stay regarding a ring left behind that had fallen out of my husband's bag. I've stayed in a lot of motels in small towns, and this has to be one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. It's not new or trendy, but one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in, and The bathroom was spotless. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and The continental breakfast was good and presented with care. This is a country old ski town mom and pop Inn. Upon arrival I received a warm cookie and a coffee/ tea. The room was simple and clean. I was reluctant but I took a chance for one night of sleep after a long day of skiing. There are 3 free city buses that run every 15 min. The bus stop is located be right be hide the Inn. It was a dog a dog friendly Inn at the low price of +/-$15 per dog. Thanks for the special dog treat. After skiing I was happy to see I was able to wash all clothing and gear. read more

Location, location. Old Town Inn is the first lodging as you arrive in town and within easy walking distance to downtown. The arts center is located directly across the street and the small patio offers a gorgeous view of Mount Crested Butte. I requested a first floor room with 2 queen beds and easy access to our car because my wife seriously sprained her knee 2 weeks prior. My request was cheerfully accommodated and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire 3 night stay. Checked in last night and the inn was exactly as advertised. It's simple however I'm here to ski, not spend time in my room. All I need is a clean room, decent bed, a hot tub and a quiet space. The Old Town Inn hits all those notes. It's location is super convenient, short drive to town that I'd walk in the summer. I can see the town bus stop outside my window which faces the grocery store out the back. It's a one min walk and I'll be on it shortly on my way to the mountain. The breakfast was tasty and better than I expected for a free continental brekky. Cosmo at the front desk was very friendly and helpful; gave me suggestions on where to go for dinner and an affordable happy hour for apres today. read more

Your typical motel. Kind of quaint and relaxing rooms. HOWEVER, DO NOT GET ON THE FIRST FLOOR!!! The walls and ceiling are very thin so if you're on the first floor you will hear every single footstep of the people above. And it's LOUD. There's seriously no noise insulation so I constantly heard foot steps from several rooms and finally had to ask to be moved to the second floor. Other than that I had a pleasant stay while I was stranded in crested butte because my car broke down. read more

We had a king size bed, nice TV, a 2-top table and chairs in the room, temp was comfortable. Price was great and includes free breakfast. We're always in Crested Butte, Colorado to mountainbike. I got a deal in groupon so we stayed here in Old Town Inn. They're very pet friendly and their breakfast is yummy. I just got this feeling that they're not as friendly as the Nordic Inn that we've stayed at before because we're the groupon customers. Other than that I would stay here again because of our pets , proximity to town, restaurants and biking trails. Camp4coffee all day and cookies in the afternoon. I really don't care about their snottiness I didn't go to cb to socialize but to bike anyway. read more

I spent three wonderful nights and two pow filled days in Crested Butte this week. I enjoyed my stay at Old Town Inn where I slept like a rock in a comfortable bed after enjoying their hot tub each night. The room was clean and I was treated to free breakfast and coffee each morning. There's a sign out front that says, "Welcome Friends" and the staff and the owners, Sandy and Michael, treat you like you're a friend who's come to visit. I found the whole vibe in CB warm and friendly and am grateful for the kindness of strangers, from the hard core locals and patrollers who took laps with me to the Spring Breakers from Texas who shared their apres time with me. This was my first trip to CB, but it won't be my last...and I'll definitely be staying with my friends at Old Town Inn. read more

But it's big on warm, friendly service and has a surprisingly decent continental breakfast with a fair amount of protein, not just carbs and sugar galore. I came back to the Old Town in ten years after my first time in CB, and it's still amazing. It's a family-run place with genuinely fantastic customer service. There is a nice community patio, movie theatre and market right across the street, walking distance to "The Bench" which is a scenic spot overlooking CB. Coffee all day is a great perk. The location is really nice as well. It's close to Kebler Pass, which leads to Grand Junction, Salt Lake, and the rest of the west. This hotel offers the ideal warmth of an indie hotel in a small mountain town. It's unique in all good ways. read more

The hospitality we experienced this past weekend at Old Town Inn was wonderful. We were in town for the Crested Butte Ultra; the Inn is a five-minute walk from the current course start line. Thoughtful touches including coffee and a hearty continental breakfast every morning, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon (snickerdoodles were my favorite), a well maintained hot tub, and smiling, friendly staff were so appreciated. We typically stay in Airbnbs when we travel, but will definitely choose to stay at Old Town Inn again on our next visit to CB. It's completely accessible by foot to all the restaurants, shops, and bars of downtown. Thank you Old Town Inn for a lovely stay! This little inn is amazing. Rooms are clean, nice little continental breakfast, dog friendly and the staff is super courteous! We were here for a ski competition at crested Butte resort. My son had a head/neck injury and I had to go to the Gunnison Valley ER. The hotel staff was willing to watch my dog while I took care of my son, not knowing how long I would be gone. Solid 4 stars. The sign out front says it all: "Economy + Comfort". However, "economy" is relative to CB prices; at over $100/night, it's definitely not a budget motel. Staff are wonderful- friendly + helpful- and the rooms are clean + basic (thin towels, slight mildew around tub, small bathrooms, not much sink space for toiletries), and more pleasant than your typical Days Inn-type room. In other words, I liked spending time inside my room, as opposed to most budget motels, where I only go back to the room to sleep. Though my room faced the street, I slept well and wasn't woken by outside noise (I'm usually a light sleeper). Minimal noise from neighboring rooms, but hallway noises can get loud (guests talking, housekeeping, etc.). There's a small outdoor hot tub that's nice after a day of hiking, when it's available (empty of other guests). One washer/dryer next to the ice machine downstairs (quarters!!!), as well as one desktop computer. Free wi-fi. No fridge/microwave. I decided to skip the free breakfast because not much appealed to me: oatmeal packets, bananas, English muffins/bagels, small danishes/muffins, quiche. The free cookies 3:30-5:30 were also hard to access because they were usually all gone by the time I got back to the hotel. I really liked being an 8-10 min walk from CB's main drag, with its restaurants + shops. The grocery store + movie theater (3 movies a night) is an even shorter walk away. The hotel is also right across the street from the Center for the Arts, which is great if you want to catch a concert. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever come back to CB. read more

The staff is friendly, breakfast is great, there's a hot tub. Also, there's a wonderful black lab that is behind the counter at the front desk named Luke, who is a sweet sweet dog! It's a comfortable, laid back, friendly atmosphere. The only downside is rooms look like a basic hotel/motel with no character or charm but the beds are comfy. Priced at an affordable point. shuttle bus to the mountain. And it's walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping. They have a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster you can use in the lobby. We always stay here when visiting CB. A super friendly staff, easy location and reasonable rates plus loaner bikes! Only reason I didn't go five star is because it's an older place and tighter quarters than a newer, modern hotel, none of which is important to us. THis place gets 5 stars on the warm inviting service! Baking cookies for the guest, that always make the check in process more fun. As far as accommodations, it is clean and what I would expect from a small town inn, this will not be your 5 star 5 diamond hotel. But they do have a hot tube to soak those warn out muscles. Being from a small town, I love its location, it is easy to find and easy to walk everywhere. There is a giant field across the street to stretch those legs out and Clarks Market right behind to get some necessities. Great location and within walking distance to absolutely everything except the longer hike we did, which was the Oh be Joyful Trail. This was an off day for the Inn I think. It is the week of the Wildflower Festival and the one person at the front desk was on the phone each time we went to ask her a question, the TV in our room was missing (broken and a new one was on order), so no radio even, nor was there even a pen or paper pad in the room for notes. Not a plastic laundry bag either. The wall unit air conditioner made creaking, banging noises all night as if were slowly falling out of the wall (may have been...would have just opened the window but it was raining off and on) so for $160 a night it was a. very restless night. Oh and this morning the coffee pot was empty! In other words...they were not prepared for a full house!! Next year we will go elsewhere! read more

This place is FANTASTIC! We're traveling across the country and thus far, the Old Town Inn is the best value for our money we found. Very friendly people, excellent free breakfast (a step or two above your traditional continental), top of the line jacuzzi, and even a dude who cleans the snow off your car after a big snow dump.
