Franklin's Fall Vintage Festival and Birthday Fun!

This place is truly a hidden gem! Give them grace as they are understaffed and doing their best to keep up but Mac & Kevin will make you feel tight at home. I only wish we didn't live so far away. Nice atmosphere, great concept and nice people.

Necromangocon Mead from Ferndale, MI. My favorite beverage of the night.

This place is so neat!! If you haven't been to a self-serve beer joint, then check this place out! When you get there, you get a wristband that allows you to use the taps. The adult beverage selection is incredible. They have everything on tap. Domestic beer. Craft beer. Wine. AND COCKTAILS! I didn't count (I will next time I go and update this), but they had 20+ taps of craft beer. You are limited to 32oz. of adult beverage, but the staff uses their judgement to decide if you can handle anymore. They also have a water station! Yay hydration!! I'm pretty sure food can be ordered and brought in from any of the local restaurants...I saw a Greeks Pizzeria Box on one table and they had menus from The Willard on a few tables. PRICING: I drank my full 32oz of various beers, and spent about $18 before tax. They offer games up front for you to use, and the back room has tables for pong and darts. We didn't go to the back because it was crowded, but I took a quick peek. We went on a Saturday night, so it was busy but still had plenty of tables for our group of 6. Street parking is right in front, but any other parking in downtown Franklin isn't a far walk (they are located in the center of town, across from the courthouse). Wednesday night is karaoke night, and they host fun events like DIY succulent garden.

Pour your own beer. Great idea!

Great place, great atmosphere. The beer is great except not a lot of gfree options and the cocktails aren't super good. Honestly though, they are premade cocktails so that makes sense. There is hard cider and wine as well so some good gfree options but not as much as I'd like to see. Great atmosphere, beer pong, darts, corn hole. Also some sweet high top tables. You can bring your own food in which is awesome also. I give it 4.7/5. Great place, will definitely return.

The lunch specials are also great - got a spicy chimichanga. A ton of food for $11! Service was great too. We'll be back!

The town square was popping on a Saturday morning so parking was tough, but did not deter us! The restaurant at first glance is small but it is much bigger on the inside with a pretty outside section. My girlfriend got a Spicy Cilantro Margarita to drink. Which was not her favorite drink she has had. Mentioned it was strong alcohol taste so if that's for you then it's great but for her it wasn't her vibe. As for food we got Queso of course which paired with the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was very flavorful with a solid spice level. For our main we went with the Taco Tray. 10 tacos, 2 of whichever 5 you choose and 3 sides. We chose Carne Azada, Birria, Corner (Chorizo & Potato), BBQ Pork and Ensenada (Fried Chicken) tacos along with the side choices of Re-fried beans, Mexican Rice and Spicy Veggies with Quinoa. The tacos also come with cilantro, onion and tomatillo salsa. All 3 sides were nice to pair with all tacos. It was nice to mix and match all the various toppings on the tacos to find the best flavor. Taco Rankings for us were as follows. 1 Birria (Great Flavor overall) 2 Ensenada (Surprise of the meal but a great one) 3 Barbacoa (So much flavor) (Update) 4 Azada (Hard to mess up, great baseline) 5 Al Pastor (Tasty, little lacking on pineapple flavor) (Update) 6 La Paz (Fried Fish) ( My girlfriend loved these, I rank them lower due to texture issues, try them for yourself!!!) (Update) 7 Corner (Dry and Bland alone but with sides and toppings was tasty) 8 BBQ Pork (Pineapple in the meat did not work with anything other than the meat itself.) Overall the service was good despite being very busy it seemed. We will be back to try more tacos and other items. The only items we do not plan to get again are the margarita and the BBQ pork tacos. We will most likely pass on the Corner tacos as well in favor of trying another taco. (Update: Service was faster and better the second time, speed was definitely a product of being busy) Suggestion is Birria and Ensenada tacos are must gets!! (Update: I would add Barbacoa to this suggestion) Update!! We went again the next weekend and got another Tray and the Jalepeños Norteños. We tried the Fried Fish, Barbacoa and Al Pastor tacos. See the above list where the rankings are placed. We also tried the White rice this time around and it didn't disappoint. The Norteños were a miss. Sadly the bacon was not crispy at all and the overwhelming flavor of cigarette was all I could taste. I DO NOT think the cooks are smoking in the back. It is just what I tasted on this item. We will not get them again.

The staff was super friendly and were eager to help us, especially since it wasn't very busy. We shared the stuffed onion rings and the mozzarella cheese sticks. Both were unique and very good. The onion ring "hole" was filled with spicy cheese sauce and the cheese sticks were lighter and fluffy in a way.The food was all good, I had a chef special of 3 chicken legs with macaroni and cheese (the cheesiest I have ever had). My wife had the smoked turkey Reuben Wrap - it was fat, good and juicy! She loved it, but the french fries were just too salty to eat. Our friends agreed they were salty, but took them all home in a to go box anyway. The beer selection seemed good, I had the Scottish ale which was real smooth but a little heavy for me at 8.4%. I also had the Downtown cocoa brown which was creamy good. Can't wait to come back for some more!
