Restaurant dining at the Lounge room on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 7 ladies switched our normal Friday night out to Thursday to eat at the Garment Factory. High praise for the salmon cakes, marinara meatball appetizer, ribeye sliders, french onion soup, and nightly special (a beef filet with mashed potatoes and broccolini). My lobster bisque was flavorless, and my chorizo fried rice consisted of hard little pieces of chorizo, a few tiny shrimp, and some nickel sized scallops. The rice was really chewy and the flavor was saved by the vegetables. The water had a chlorine taste so I ordered a coke, which also tasted of chlorine. While my dinner was disappointing, my friends all enjoyed their meals. The menu is just the right size with a variety of starters, salads, and entrees. The ambiance is great and they offer patio dining. The framed history of the building is displayed on the walls, and it looks like a great venue for special events. I will order a different dish on my next visit. read more

Good service and neat environment. The food choices are ok but needs more variety. They also could use an electric door opener for those coming in the front door that are wheelchair bound or have walkers. They have a ramp but no door opener at least on the side of Wayne Street. read more

Outstanding venue in gorgeous downtown Franklin! I attended a wedding at this location last weekend. The loft area where the reception was held is well suited for such an occasion, with a large area and nice scenery outside. Service was prompt & professional, the food served was delicious, and the bar area seemed to have a good selection. Great location for weddings or other major events! read more

This venue was awesome, absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly. This place has a lot of history behind it. Rumor has it that it was a place that made military uniforms during WWII. I was here attending a friend's wedding. The venue is very trendy and updated. It was also very clean, including the bathroom. The venue consists of a cocktail bar, a bridal suite, a downstairs event room (where the ceremony was held) and an upstairs event room (where the reception was held). The entire staff there is very friendly and helpful. We had an awesome taco bar at the reception. It was delish. They had tortillas, pulled pork, chicken, beef, nachos, salsa, guacamole, cheese, sour cream....It was very well put together. Parking there is simple. There is parking available on the street and in an adjoining public lot. This is a prime event venue, located outside the hustle and bustle of the big city. It is well suited to host weddings, dances, dinners, performances......and anything in between. read more

So love that they were open on a Friday night!!! We usually go out once a week- usually on the weekends. We have been once before. Grateful for the good food and tasty appetizers. Every once in a while they are open on Friday night. both experiences have been fantastic. I had a fish entree that was to die for. We split the deviled eggs appetizer. Ok so.. here is the deal. This place is legit an under the radar gem. I'd never been there but heard a couple people mention it.. friend of a friend is the owner. I'd heard they had a good bourbon selection, but had my doubts. I was wrong... their bourbon selection is great and the costs reasonable. I ended up having a Parkers Heritage Heavy Char.. incredible pour if you have the chance to try it. I NEED a bottle of it in my life, but its incredibly hard to find. Had the alberta whiskey.. whiskey of the year, not my flavor, but apparently some people like it. Food... i had the mini pork tenderloin sandwiches. Crazy good.. I'm not a huge tenderloin fan, but these were great and had some yummy stone ground mustard. Give them a whirl. Service.. super awesome. our server was on top of it, water constantly refilled, friendly and just cool. Owner came by to catch up with my friend, so it was fun chatting with him. Nice dude. Attended a wedding here over the weekend. It is a beautiful venue. The wedding ceremony was set up in one room. After that we were moved into the bar area for cocktails and appetizers. The sit down dinner was in the upper area. It was spacious and rustic. The service and the food was fantastic. There was a nice size dance floor and room for a DJ or band too. The building was decorated with a wall that gave the history of the building. Ages ago it really was a women's lingerie factory. We found out the bar is open to the public on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and they also serve small plate food. It's worth a trip to Franklin to check it out. read more

What an absolutely stunning venue. I attended a friend's wedding and thoroughly enjoyed my time visiting Franklin and especially being at the Garment Factory. I now know why the bride chose this amazing venue so quickly. Everything is clearly labelled, easy to navigate, and seamlessly organized for all guests. There is a large parking lot next to the building and the street traffic is not a problem, so guests can easily be dropped off at the door. The card/gifts table is right at the entrance and just to the left is a window peeking into a gorgeous bar, perfect for a cocktail hour. I especially liked the first floor bar area. I can't say enough positive things about the arrangement, funky seating, color changing light fixture, back patio area, or the bar staff that was at this wedding. Glad I could take some photos before the guests arrived! Even other guests were commenting about how the wedding coordinator did an impressive job and how the other factory staff members were such a great help, always remaining very professional. They all did a great job putting on such an amazing event. read more

Venue is incredible. New and gorgeous. Chef is fantastic. Compared to other venues you have to hire an outside caterer and that is really what sets this place apart is that they have their own on-site kitchen and chef. They also have a smaller bar venue that you can rent which is really a lot of fun. Great bridal suite. Perfect location and easy parking. Event manager is pretty aloof and rude. She just made me feel she didn't have time for me and couldn't wait until I left. We spent a lot of money on a 60th birthday party Oct 15 2023. I would definitely book this venue again but will certainly insist that I get to work with someone else. She was conceited and somehow related to the people who own this business and clearly doesn't appreciate her clients. read more

A gorgeous location for events if you're looking for a rustic/industrial vibe. There are exposed brick walls, wooden beams, and matte black accents throughout the building. We attended for a wedding and were sent to the lower room for cocktails while the upstairs was being set up. It was well decorated and spacious enough for about 100-150 people. Although the ceiling was very creak ya nd we could hear everyone walking upstairs which made it difficult to enjoy the video of the ceremony. After cocktail hour we were escorted upstairs where the dining and dance floor were set up along with another bar in the corner. There were draped cloths, round tables, and up lighting in the room. We enjoyed the evening and all the large windows provided more than enough light. In fact, I would say this could lead to a negative in the summer months since it stays bright later, so the lighting for the dance floor isn't exactly effective. Either way we had a blast and enjoyed the location. read more

Recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. Seat yourself was a surprise but we were there early enough to get a table without waiting. Decor is upscale rustic and very clean. Server was fantastic! Food quality was as good as Franklin has to offer. I ordered the Pork chop w glazed apples and caramelized onions. The cook on the thick chop was spot on and full of flavor. We also tried the lobster bisque w crab. Great flavor but crab was a bit cold. Firecracker Shrimp w edible flowers was a winner too. Color me impressed! This renovated space has been transformed into a multi room event center with a lounge that offers tasty small plate food. With free parking along the property and a public lot on the west side of the building, parking is not a problem. When you walk in, the lobby and stairwell up to the second floor are tastefully decorated blending upscale chic with the industrial bones honoring the former garment factory that was here early in the previous century. If you want to rent the facility, the offices are on your right as you enter. Restrooms and elevators are straight back if you need those facilities. I was visiting to check out "The Lounge" which is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays after 4 p.m. Very cool! The LED lights over the bar turn color throughout your visit and I found the bar very comfortable to sit at. (No scrunched up knees at this place!) The lounge area had a variety of seating styles including comfy sofas with furry pillows. The Lounge bar has a three way license so they carry some hard liquor as well as wines and Oaken Barrel Brewing beers (they also carry a few other beers). The menu is small, but I really enjoyed the Hoisin Duck Steamed Buns. They come with scallion and cucumber on the bun and wasabi-ginger on the side. The plate also has house chips (which were the only thing that didn't have a "Wow" factor.) I will definitely be bringing my wife and friends to check it out the next time I visit. My husband took me there to celebrate my retirement. I had the Salmon cakes and he had the ribeye. Mine meal was light and delicious. He said his steak was tender but needed more seasoning. We shared the brownie dessert and it was wonderful. Our waitress was so sweet and took great care of us. read more

Absolutely beautiful building, inside and out. Staff is wonderful and the general manager could train all other managers on what to do to run a successful business. The food is creative and very tasty and the drinks are great. My only complaint, if you could actually call it that is that I wish they were open 7 days a week! We've never had mediocre service no matter if we were on a date night or with a group of friends. Highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Our dear friends just got married at this historical yet modern unique venue. I'm a hairstylist and have seen a lot of behind the scene rooms and set ups. The Garment Factory is one of the best set up's I have seen. The Groom's Suite is set up perfectly for the guys with their own bathroom and lounge + TV, and the Bride's Suite was perfect with a ton of mirrors & seating, a HUGE mirror for amazing pictures of the Bride putting her gown on. It has it's own bathroom as well. It's decorated so nice! The ceremony was beautiful, the windows give it the perfect mood setting using a lot of the natura lights and sunsets. The cocktail hour area had plenty of seating, huge bar area, plenty of friendly staff. We went upstairs to the reception, once again the open beams, the open windows, the brick walls were stunning. The food was amazing, the place was set up perfectly with plenty of room to still move around. Franklin is such a cute town, I'm so glad I got to experience what this town had to offer with this beautiful venue being one of the core places to go! This venue is absolutely amazing and beautiful! Our wedding was scheduled for July 4, 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Julia S. (our venue coordinator) stayed in contact with me regarding any changes. The day of the wedding went as smooth as one could expect. Sara was there during the day and was extremely helpful in getting anything/everything that was needed. Julia was there during the evening and made sure things were done as quickly and smoothly as possible. These two made me feel like I had nothing to worry about and things would get taken care of. The servers and bartenders were all polite as well and the food was delicious. The building is such a gorgeous building that we let it speak for itself and did not add any additional decorations.
