The chicken was the most tender delicious chicken that I've ever had in a restaurant and I am obsessed with it I definitely need to go back. The service was great there was a lot of indoor seating. There is also bar seating it seemed like it was a local regular. Definitely a local favorite. I can't wait to go back and try more options.

Our server Jayden took such great care of us tonight! I accidentally ordered the wrong item and he handled it immediately and so kindly. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. We really appreciated him! Will be coming back again soon!

Old Towne Restaurant is an American diner-style restaurant that opened in Trumbull, Connecticut in 1989. It was founded by Greek immigrant and restaurateur George Kotsaftis. Born in Lapata, Greece, Kotsaftis immigrated to Connecticut with his family when he was 15-years-old. As an adult, he became a restaurateur and opened businesses such as J's Pizza in Danbury and Newtown Pizza Palace. By 1989, he had opened Old Towne Restaurant in Trumbull and cemented himself as a beloved businessman in the local community. At Old Towne, customers can choose from a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner dishes that are prepared with fresh ingredients brought in daily. After 10 years in business, Old Towne moved into a neighboring space at the plaza and doubled in size, adding a private event room in the process. Kotsaftis retired from the restaurant business in 2000 and Old Towne was taken over by his children Dean and Catherine. The elder Kotsaftis passed away in 2024. My wife and I recently had lunch at Old Towne Restaurant. She had already visited a number of times and was excited for me to try the food there. The interior was nice with a big dining room as well as a fancy bar area which looked a little newer. Our server gave us some complimentary cheesy bread to munch on while we looked over the menu. My wife ordered the same thing that she orders every time she comes: the "Old Towne Chicken Salad" (baby greens, gorgonzola cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, granny smith apples and char-broiled chicken breast with a side of house vinaigrette dressing). She remarked, "It's my favorite salad ever!" I decided to follow my wife's lead and go with a salad too. I chose one off of the specials menu: the "Mediterranean Steak Salad" (grilled ribeye steak on a bed of baby greens topped with fresh mozzarella, white beans, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, garlic croutons, a sprinkle of parmesan cheese served with house-made creamy balsamic dressing). It was seriously one of the BEST salads I have ever eaten! We had an excellent experience at Old Towne and we look forward to returning in the future!

So I come in about once or twice a week with some friends and I just have to say that we love Old Towne!!! The menu is huge, the staff is nice and not to mention to food is amazing!!! Everything they have from sandwich's, Pastas, down the pizza is amazing!!! Not to Mention they defiantly have THE BEST PIZZA in the Bridgeport/ Trumbull area!!!! If you want amazing food, and a great family friendly atmosphere with amazing prices then Old Towne Restaurant is the place to come!!!

I never got to taste my food. Please get stronger bags or better containers that don't leak. I have a 10 minute Drive home...and after a 12 hour shift, nothing is more depressing.

Old Towne has been a Trumbull staple since 1989. Now in its 35th year, and replete with a fresh remodel and an updated menu, the service is consistently good. The inside is deceptively roomy & the bar area isn't overly noisy, either. Perfect for couples and families alike.

Stopped in to meet with a friend and it was good. We immediately sat and placed our orders. I had a grilled chicken salad which was really good. The restaurant was nice, they had a large dining area.

Lived in the area over 10 years, today was my first time I went in and ordered a pizza. I was very pleased with what I got. The pizza not only looked good, it was full of flavor. I will definitely order it again. The place was busy for a Sunday night and even with the busy pace the counter person was friendly and attentive to the specifics of my order which the kitchen staff correctly prepared in a timely manner. Happy I decided to give the place a try and add the takeout menu to my go to collection of favorites.

One reason it took me so long to try AFFILIATION - I learned that this place is a second location for massiminos in Bridgeport which is a pretty Italian place in its own right ENTRANCE - as you come in you can see the main counter in the back. There are a few tables around if you want to sit and eat/drink coffee. AMBIANCE - it's a very clean and deli looking decor. DRY PRODUCTS - they have a small selection of Italian items from dried pasta to jarred sauces. Typical brands that you see in supermarkets or other Italian stores. There are a few imported from Italy brands but I'm no expert to say yea or nay PIZZA - they have at the counter a pizza station where you can a buy by the slice. They looked pretty good with a lot of variety. COFFEES - they have regular plus they make expresso, macchiatos, lattes etc. I tried the macchiato which was excellent PASTRY- they gave a few at the counter. The breakfast buns and treats. I noticed a crème pastry which I tried. It was OK but in reality the pastry part was super good but the inside crème would have been better if it was like a Boston cream filling SERVICE - definitely 5+ stars. The employees couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Very congenial with small talk. Not the usual cold QSR attitude you get from the fast food chains PRICES - I only got coffee and a pastry that was over $8. I'd say average or a little on the higher side but I didn't look at the menu on the screen too closely although it was a little difficult to see.

Kwok has more than 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. Some of the other restaurants he has opened include Sweet Basil in Fairfield, Pink Sumo Sushi & Sake Cafe in Westport, and Eat Noodle in Bridgeport. Kwok and Nguyen's latest venture opened at the Connecticut Post Mall in a restaurant space that was previously home to Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar, which specialized in tavern-style pizzas cooked in a cast-iron skillet. 8 Thousand Pizza offers this same style of pizza, but what sets them apart from the previous pizzeria is that they also offer self-pouring technology, which became legalized in Connecticut in 2021. The food menu features two dozen tavern-style pizzas as well as burgers, wings, fries, salads and soups. Through the use of a supplied electronic bracelet, customers can self-pour their own beverage from a selection of 28 craft beer taps and 6 wine taps. There's a two-pint or 32-ounce limit for the self-pours. I recently visited 8 Thousand Pizza for dinner. I had previously visited the space when it was Cast Iron Chef Kitchen & Bar and was sad to hear that they moved. However, this new business concept of a tavern-style pizzeria with self-pouring taps sounded very interesting to me. This was actually my first visit to a self-pouring taproom, as these types of establishments only just began opening in the state in the last few years. After looking over the menu, I decided to order the "Grandma's Tomato Pizza" (fresh mozzarella, tomato sauce, roasted garlic, tomatoes and EVOO) and the "Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza" (tomato sauce, pepperoni, hot honey sauce and mozzarella cheese). The latter happens to be 8 Thousand's signature pizza. Both pizzas had crust so thin that it's almost cracker like; they didn't flop at all. They were super crispy with excellent sauce and toppings. I honestly can't decide which one I liked better; they were both very good. During my visit, I enjoyed some self-pours of Grey Sail Brewing's "Captain's Daughter" (Double New England IPA) and New Park Brewing's "Cloudscape" (American IPA). Delicious pizza with craft beer is always an excellent pairing! I had a really nice experience at 8 Thousand Pizza and I hope to return with my family.

If it's your thing, you'd enjoy it here but I want ALLLLL the pizzas! The Friday Shrimp Pie Specials, the Summer Pie (DON'T MISS THIS), tasted like some great New Haven style pizza with delicious sauce and thin crust and fresh high quality ingredients. I was in heaven! I actually went the first time with a group of friends and then insisted the hubby make this stop on our way home from NYC one weekend so he could try it, and I could have more of it! If I didn't live an hour away, this would be MY pizza spot! It's that good! The wings weren't bad, but this wouldn't be my go to wing spot. But everything else was phenomenal! When we were leaving the first time, a nice woman walking out behind us told us she goes there every week to pickup a grinder and that we should try those too! I think it was chicken parm she was talking about. The second time we went we saw two guys eating their pizza inside that were regulars and say they go there all the time too. So the locals know this is a great spot and I was so happy to see the support and the people willing to talk about how great they are and how they love supporting this small family owned business!

The pepperoni was crispy, and the Basil significantly enhanced the pizza flavor by adding a fresh, aromatic, and slightly sweet element that complemented the other ingredients.
