I generally love the Cheesecake Factory. This last visit to the Trumbull Mall location wasn't enjoyable. The prices for Kendall Jackson have gone thru the roof. $20 for 9 ounces is highway robbery. A bottle is around $12. It leaves you feeling very ripped off and taken advantage of - Cheesecake can't justify any inflation around this item. And when I asked the bartender about the price increase, she had no clue. The food was just okay - not the high quality meals you generally expect and receive at Cheesecake. The Trumbull Mall itself is a barren, desolate wasteland. I wonder if the Cheesecake Factory will remain in business at this location. read more

The food is yummy, the ambiance is nice. You can dress up or dress casual. It has a fancier feel to it. They have "outdoor" seating. It is in the mall but outside of the restaurant. We went for the happy hour. We enjoyed the happy hour burger and tex mex egg rolls. The food was good and at an affordable price. I also ordered a slice of cake to go. The dessert case was freshly stocked. The server was patient and checked in often. I enjoyed the experience. Finally, my favorite chain restaurant has come out with a reward program and with signing up, they offered a free slice of cheesecake with any purchase. The Adam's is my favorite, but I decided to get the Girardelli Chocolate Cherry for my sister. I didn't dine in, but I absolutely love the food as well. Their menu is vast, and I hear a lot of people complain about that but I think it's a bonus. It was a Friday afternoon, definitely bustling, but the entire staff was attentive. I placed my order online, but failed to press submit. When I arrived, obviously, there was no record of my order but once I submitted the order, the server presented the cheesecake to go within a few minutes. The Cheesecake Factory has beautiful decor & a nice ambience. Service may vary from location to location, but no complaints for Trumbull. This is the first of my 3 cheese cake factory visits I enjoyed my food. So, finally, I'm happy to be here. For appetizers we got the egg roll sampler which came in with a variety of sides and 2 pcs of each roll. A perfect combination to share for me and my wife. For entree, we got the chicken belagio. It was a pretty huge portion we decided to settle for 1 entree and shared our plate. We still ended up taking home the leftovers. It's a nice and juicy, fried chicken on top of spaghetti topped with my favorite salad ingredients. A happy and loaded lunch. For desert, we tried the tiramisu cheesecake which was not as I expected. (I was never a cheesecake fan to start with). The reason I rate this business 4/5 is for their service. There was a long delay after we were seated, maybe a confusion between servers to complete our order. It needed for us to remind them to get our appetizers. The rest of the food followed as usual. My table was the first table from the kitchen outlet, and all the waitress were right next to our table chatting with each other all the time. My husband and I arrived around the time CF opened on a Saturday so we decided to try the brunch menu for a change (brunch runs from 11:30-2pm Sat-Sun). Our waitress, Georgia S. was very friendly and attentive, she always made sure we had everything we needed. My husband ordered the brunch combo, while I had the fried chicken and waffles benedict. Both of us really enjoyed our meals! The eggs benedict was rich and oh so tasty mixed with crispy chicken and waffles. It was a bit liquidy thus unable to stand by itself when you hold a piece. We have made this better at home ourselves. The Louisiana Chicken Pasta was very flavorful with the chicken being crispy and good by itself. This is a solid dish. The Coconut Cream cheesecake was great as well. Service was friendly, though like people often say, don't expect your drink to be refilled due to how hectic and how big the place is and they don't serve water. Overall, it was good outing but it is pricey for a chain restaurant. The cheesecake slice was like 12 bucks. The menu here is so large, it's hard to pick what to eat. I usually get an appetizer or two instead of a meal, but I'm dairy and gluten free right now. so that wasn't really an option. I've been to this Cheesecake Factory more than once in a 10 year span. This being my first and last time in 2024 going to the Trumbull location. For starters, service was very slow. It seemed like it had the regular amount of people for a Friday. About 4 waitress/waiters in the patio area. I had different people bringing out different things, therefore not having my waitress there long enough to ask for a refill of JUST water. Bread was cold and hard, never had that happened before. I got the Mac and cheese balls, which I could tell were over cooked for the coating. Usually, when my hands partner orders a grilled cheese, it's not $31!!! Out waitress/waiters in the past gave us the kids version without any issue. It was not worth the money. The cheesecake you already know stays out all day so not much to do there. I won't be going back to this location. The ambiance was the same as always, just a touch of babies crying and usually Trumbull traffic near the Apple Store. Had a very bad experience here for lunch today. The hostess was very friendly and accommodating to our table request. But unfortunately our waitress was too busy catching up on gossip with her co-worker to take care of her table. Waited almost 25 minutes for our drink while we watched the waitress standing and talking, also the "appetizer" bread didn't come until after the main course of the meal was already at the table. We kept getting the same tired excuse of the bread will be out of the oven soon maybe 2 or 3 times after each time we asked for bread. Will not be dining here again. Today I came to the Trumbull mall for the first time. It was apx 11:35 am and I decided to grab lunch at The Cheesecake Factory at the bar with Kalita M. So very glad I did. I ordered the skinny Tuscan Chicken and a glass if their Pinot Grigio. Kalita brought out fresh hot bread and butter before my meal. On the other hand the cheesecake was phenomenal. Taking all of this into consideration I think 4 stars is a fair rating. Here is what we tried: Bread (free appetizer) Almond-Crusted Salmon Salad Buffalo Chicken Wings Celebration Cheesecake Lemon Meringue Cheesecake First of all you need to know the portions here are gigantic. I highly recommend splitting an appetizer and an entrée. We split the salad and wings and I was quite satisfied. Don't forget they also bring bread and butter to the table. The bread is extremely good. The salad had a satisfying combination of flavors. The only problem? The fish had a distinct unfresh taste. Luckily I had wings and bread to snack on, but if I was relying on the fish I would have been disappointed. The wings were average. The chicken pieces were big and meaty, and the Buffalo sauce + Bleu cheese dressing was great. The only drawback was that the wings were a bit overcooked and dry. The cheese cake was out of this world. You 100% NEED to get cheese cake if you come here (I know it's obvious but I had to say it). Even if you are totally stuffed do what we did: get it to go and just take a few bites. In conclusion I understand why this chain is so prolific and I can highly recommend it for dates, large gatherings, and anything in between. read more

Went here on Sunday evening around 5 PM, it was very busy. Luckily I had a reservation. Parking here is plentiful but can be pretty far away. I had the filet mignon, which I thought was pretty expensive compared to other steak restaurants. I would say it was just OK, not impressive. It has the appearance of a larger cut but they leave the chain part of the cut on and it's mostly waste. It was cooked as ordered and the sides were good and fresh tasting. The service was OK but not great. The waitress tried to charge me for a soda that I didn't order but it was corrected.
