Terrible overall experience. The elderly owner was berating his teenage helper upon arrival. We had a lobster roll, cheese burger fries and two off brand sodas. The lobster roll was terrible and the burger was over cooked (asked for medium). We stopped here for lunch and it definitely will not be our last time here. The place is very cute with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was SO friendly and the lady helping us was so funny and kind. We tried the cheeseburger combo, a chili cheese dog, pickled coleslaw and a hotdog with kraut. Always good. This is my go to place for a hamburger meal. Delicious grass-fed local beef! Baked sweet potato fries are wonderful. And I can add a fresh side salad. Perfect! The menu consisted of burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, milkshakes, a handful of different types of fries... even a mushroom burger for anyone foolish enough to be vegetarian! My first go around was a grass fed burger with swiss, mushrooms, onions, and au jus to dip in... usually I don't rave about au jus, but this stuff was amazing, I hope they make a beef soup during the winter out of this stuff (hint, hint). I spoke with the owner, Carl, a few weeks before opening. He seemed like a great guy who knew his way around the restaurant biz and truly cares about the local and healthy aspect (as healthy as a burger and fries can be). To sum it up... The man working when we came in this evening was really friendly. Unfortunately my cheeseburger was super dry and the veggies were not crisp or fresh. My boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich that was really overly saucy. The sweet potato fries were just okay. I also noticed the man who was preparing our food took off his mask while making it and did not wear gloves. This was the only employee so he was also handling money and taking payment from customers. I'm pregnant so it did make me uncomfortable to eat the food and I ended up just throwing most of it away. The buns are way too thick for the size of the meat. The meat is dry, he must smash his patties because they are thin and not juicy. I won't come back here unless I fries. Ordered for my family of 5, with a little bit of everything to get a feel for what we liked best. The on-line system had different burgers listed as options, such as "cowboy burger" which we tried. We were told to pick up at a certain time and the order was not ready. We waited another 45 minutes and were present for the complaints for the amount of items we had, complaints on the "cowboy burger" and the use of the on-line system. The food was good.
