Great service and good food, took care of my food allergies. Has arcade games and overall is a good environment

I love it here! Best sandwich place in New Fairfield. There's no other place around here with this top quality of food and service. It's also the best place to lounge and do work (I work remote and love the atmosphere). The management and staff make my day. I even have my own sandwich! They also have games, TV , fun music, and a variety of things to accommodate customers. Shout out to the staff, Nina, Tony, John, Christian, Byron, Sarah, Vinny, Kelly, Lou, Thomas for being the BEST

Cute spot we found on the way to Candlewood Lake

We stopped here on our way to Candlewood Lake. Hubby was starved and I had to use the restroom. The place is very clean and service was fast. I love their menu and would like to go back and try some of their other sandos. I got hubbs a simple BEC sando but I wish I got him the Dr. Raj, a BEC with French toast sticks and maple syrup, or The Windman, a BEC with maple syrup and hash browns. I got my kid French toast sticks. The food was really good which made me really wish I had ordered more food. They have ample spaces to eat and they're easily accessible from the road, with parking right in front. The bathroom was immaculate and the employee with whom I interacted was helpful. I would suggest checking out the menu before going because they have some great options and it might be difficult to choose just one on the spot.

    Snap Chat Wrap

Grabbed a quick lunch from here on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn't busy but it was also later in the day than normal lunch time. I liked the menu options and thought there were some creative choices. I got the snap chat on a wrap. It was filling and had good flavor. Sandwiches were a bit pricey in my opinion but not outrageous. I'm most interested in coming back for a breakfast sandwich as they had a lot of good sounding items. They also serve breakfast all day!

Eggstacy; BEC with steak and hashbrown

Froggy's did something magical with this Eggstacy sandwich and they had it done in like 2 minutes after ordering

Soaking wet, bland, boring, small and incredibly overpriced.

I love this places' food, but every time this one woman is working, somehow my sandwich is always incorrect. It's very frustrating.

The windows were decorated for Christmas which I liked. It had a great atmosphere from the second I walked in. There is a large mural of NYC on one of the walls and familiar decor in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were playing music from the 50's and 60's which brought back memories of getting pizza in NY when I was younger. The pizza was very good. There were lots of delicious looking choices which made it difficult to order. The regular cheese was very good. It had a little bit of sauce that pooled at the bottom when you fold it. That's when I knew it would be good. The vodka sauce on the Drunken Grandma had lots of flavor. Fresh basil on a pizza never hurts, I also tried the Little Italy which is a white pizza. Topped with lots of Italian herbs and garlic, looking forward to coming back and trying the Chicken Parm Pizza or Buffalo Chicken. Right now there is a 10% bonus on gift card purchases. Not sure when it ends.

I made a trip to visit Bruno's Pizza & Pasta …read more I have not tried their pasta yet , however I did try their chicken Parm pizza and their regular slice . It was not easy to eat the chicken parm - It was a mess and it's not a take out item . I hope they take this criticism positively. Their overweight slices are mini entrees on a triangular bread AKA pizza . The minute I picked up to eat - it all fell apart . The sauce was that of a marinara sauce that goes over pasta not a pizza . I could not eat it like a normal slice as it was falling apart from the undercarriage. The regular slice ok - I just could not taste the herbs that make it a pizza sauce . Where is the oregano ? The crust was ok but on the normal undercarriage - however I could not tell if the cheese was grande cheese - it's my guess that it wasn't . Business was slow with only one table , but I ordered counter service . The server was pleasant and efficient . Normal slices was 3.60 which is average but the chicken parm was 2.40 MORE for 4 pieces of chicken , yes 6.00. Who is doing their food cost? Last time I checked - the cheap chicken breast is at 2.99 a pound . There was NOT a quarter pound of chicken on the slice . Ambiance was quiet , calm and not noisy . It was a perfect place to take your kid out and have a real face time , a one on one with your young ones . I would go back but I'm not paying 9.60 for 2 slices when I can order a small pie for a few dollars more , The display was very appetizing and clean . Every pie was labeled and clearly displayed . The counter looked ver busy with clutter and hard to navigate - I would go back and order something different with a different sauce . After-all - they say that sauce is boss - let's see if they nailed the béchamel sauce . Making that Alfredo sauce is a grand sauce and its one of the many sauces that people cheat with . I am a professional chef , Chapter President of the Connecticut Chef's Association , Member of the world Association of Cooks Society and admitted I the Le Emis Escoffier Society . Please don't put your guard fiend step your game . Love the choices of pizza and the cute little bistro feel . Can't wait to go back .

However the owner is extremely insensitivity and cruel. On several occasions, I've heard him talking down to his workers and if that wasn't bad enough, he was rude to me on several occasions as well. He's very intimidating to speak to about just about anything! I've tried winning him over with logic and kindness, but he's just awful. During my last experience, I asked him to please clean the serving spoon because my daughter is severely allergic to nuts - a practice that the workers typically do before they serve my daughter's ice cream because there are other ice cream flavors that contain nuts. He nearly snapped at me! His response was that he knew what he was doing and he went on and on in front of other customers. I politely waited until all the customers walked away and tried to reason with him. I kindly explained that my daughter is severely allergic to nuts and has to carry an epipen wherever we go. Again, he replied rudely, despite my explanation and patience. He replied that he "wasn't going to kill" my kid. I was taken back! He said all this in front of my child. We both were stunned by his insensitivity and rudeness. Honestly, I wanted to simply leave and cry in my car, but I had to show face in front of my child. I walked to the register, paid for my order, and walked away. Since then, I haven't returned. I don't know who wrote all the recent good reviews - perhaps, the owner's friends and family. I'd scroll down to read all the horrible reviews because they're speaking the truth. The owner is outright careless, nasty, and has no customer skills whatsoever. Unless you want to be insulted and treated like a peasant, I'd stay away from this place.

The staff are lovely (a man and his mother) and speak Italian to one another. They make their own mozzarella, soup, and at least some pastries, if not all. Cannoli are filled to order and excellent. Another pastry (crostata?), cut into squares with a shortbread-like crust, cherry jam and chocolate was even more spectacular and something that I *must* come back for. The man told me it was homemade. The sfogliatelle pastry was a little tough and stale, but the thick, ricotta-rich filling was delicious. To be fair, these things have a very short shelf life. I gave it a few minutes in the toaster oven when I finally made it home and the texture was far improved. The son patiently answered my questions [e.g. how to properly pronounce "sfogliatelle," how much the fresh mozzarella costs (about $11 / lb)] and the mother kindly warmed up some pasta e fagioli for me. Sandwiches seem to be the focus here -- the menu is vast! -- but I sorely needed the warm-you-from-the-inside-out comfort of soup at that moment. The rich broth full of red beans, potatoes, and carrots absolutely hit the spot. It's too bad that it took a flat tire to get me in this place. We've been driving by for years and have clearly been missing out all this time!
