The place does give you a wild Wild West vibe lol the decor matches the name. The food was so delicious. Our waitress was nice and attentive. There are many options on the menu, I'm sure you will find something you like. Will be going back!

First place I ate in visit to Dallas. I'm was skeptical at first as the place in a small shopping center where most stores were closed or empty understandably because it was before 10. The entrance door is tinted out w no signage to know if the is was the correct entrance but it was (store next door was vacant w tinted windows). When I entered it was night and day, definitely don't judge the place from the outside. The server was very friendly and attentive. The menu was overwhelming to say the least, she noticed I was lost help guide me. I ordered OWC French toast, 2 eggs, turkey sausage patty, and cheese grits. The French toast was fire. I had 2 4 triangles and was upset I didn't get more but I didn't need it. The sausage and eggs were normal, Grits ok. Nothing to Bragg about but good. They had a lot of Western style art and decor. I would recommend this place. I would even come back.

Ambiance was really cool - old west, heavy wood carved tables, nice decorations. Service was good, no complaints there! Food: I had the Cowgirl breakfast which was the perfect size and really good. The pancake is huge, and tasty although could have used more blueberries. I think the is a good breakfast spot with reasonably priced options.

Typically the earlier you go on the weekends the sooner you'll grab a table. The food is good! Like a cute cozy carb filled meal. I love their biscuits and gravy - ugh so good. This particular time I dined alone and just asked for a small table, but the waiter still took very good care of me. Whatever you do, make sure you order something with bacon. It's amazing too. Decent service, large portions of food that has the potential to be great in an attempt at a western atmosphere. Not the best visit to this local chain. But still good. Came on a Saturday morning. Checked in. Was told 15-20 minutes. After 25 minutes and seeing others go in that showed up after, checked my wait time through the text message, and we were not in line any anymore. Went inside and we were not in the list anymore, they scrambled to find us a table. Service was ok. Kitchen was defiantly slow. I understand it was a Saturday and we had a lot of food come out for 4 people, but no one's food was hot. Inside it almost just an open space with as much western stuff on the walls as they fit. I got the Warrior French toast. Very tasty. Sausage patties were good. Wife got the Trail Boss French toast. On the menu it is described as "cinnamon" crisp. There was no crisp, but still tasty. Friend got the "tacos" with a "flapjack". Her tacos were as big as quesadillas and the flapjack was bigger than the plate it came on. Her meal could have fed the table! We have been to the Grapevine location a few times, based on this visit the Grapevine location is better and will be a preferred visit. Still not bad, great menu and food would have been great if it was hot!

I don't think I've ever seen a pancake as big as my hand!!! My kids were so full after all this food we had to wheel them out! I had the French toast and it was so so good. I enjoyed it and my husband enjoyed his omelet as well. We got here early and by the time we left the line to get I was out of the door. It also looks like this is the gathering place for family gatherings after a long night!! HAHA!!! Our waiter was great and I am so glad that we got to experience Oldwest! We don't live close but plan to come back here if we are visiting!

Y'all. For real. If you haven't visited an Old West Cafe, you MUST try it. It's definitely not your everyday breakfast place, but indulge at least once and eat your heart out. The pancakes are bigger than your head. The hash brown casserole is so yummy. And the service is always on point. Be prepared you might have a bit of a wait as it's always busy for breakfast, but worth it! So it might be a tad noisy but not overwhelming and still enjoyable. Just an all around great southern breakfast spot.

Been hearing so much about this spot, glad we finally can try! It's a no-frills diner that hits all the right marks. The menu had tons of options; from steaks to omelets to migas, there is something for everyone. The cinnamon swirl jack was massive, bigger than my face. It was soft and tasted like a Cinnabon. The Night Hawk omelet with chorizo was really good too, I loved the smokey flavor. Another great thing was the portions are massive, we had enough leftover for plenty of lunch. Truly makes it a great deal.

Tried out this place. Seating was quick once my entire party arrived. Service started off slow which is why I'm giving it a 4 and not a 5. The food was good. The pancakes are huge. Even the kid plates. Food was great. Meals are reasonable and you definitely can leave with a to go box. read more

Old west cafe is country classic! However, the Bedford location puts there food under warmers and don't make all items fresh to order. I reccomend there hash browns but definitely not the pancakes or French toast. We asked for chocolate chip pancakes and they gave us a pancakes with chocolate chips on top.. vs. the grapevine location who puts them inside the pancake and makes them fresh to order. Overall old west is better than ihop Or waffles house read more

Whenever we visit family in the Metroplex, we always make one or two stops at the Old West Cafe, it simply can not be beaten. A few days ago we stopped in for Breakfast. James was our Server and he was terrific! Attentive and helpful. Like someone else said, the Pancakes have a diameter of 10" to 12". The Coffee is great, the food options are endless and the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for a meal woith your family, friend(s) or mate. Next time you are in the DFW area, be sure to give them a try. read more

I brought my sister and niece here (they are visiting from Austin), as I have enjoyed this place a few times and figured on a weekday around noon-1pm they wouldn't be so busy as to have a waitlist like they usually do when I go on the weekends. Surprisingly they were still pretty busy! Not enough for a waitlist but still plenty of folks in there - just goes to show the place is heavily trafficked which is always a good sign of quality (besides in touristy areas, which this is not, ha). I have always gotten the Coosie's Skillet (with the eggs over easy instead of scrambled), but today I opted for the Curly Wolf Skillet (hold the queso, and eggs over easy instead of scrambled) and WOW! Also super delicious! Madison (I hope I'm spelling her name correctly!) was a great server, friendly and kept the coffee coming. My niece got a flapjack and that thing was huuuge - bigger than my face lol Sister got the Wild West Omelet and it too was very large. None of us could finish our meals haha - came away stuffed, caffeinated, and very happy. Can't wait to visit again! read more

Stopped here for breakfast after landing at DFW and what a lucky find. It may be in a strip mall, but it's western motif is worth the stop. Great waiter who gave us time and good recommendations. Breakfast was huge and delicious. read more

Food is always nice and hot, delicious and good portions. The wait time from the time you order from the time you're eating is about 10 mins, I've been coming here since I moved from California. One year and a half. (although today it was bad, 25 mins later!) and I still had to ask what was going on. They have decent coffee with a choice of flavored coffee creamers. My husbands favorite is: Old west omelette with a side of sourdough, refried beans w/ cheese & fried potatoes. My 2 year old always has Frontier Feast: double side of bananas and strawberries. I always get their delicious Strawberry Belle (awesome French toast stuffed with sweet cream cheese , topped with strawberries). I drive from Arlington to Bedford, just for the customer service!! Which is normally super friendly and precise on your order. Plus food comes quick. I was disappointed today big time on service but it looks like they have several new servers. Hopefully it doesn't stay bad like today. The feel is family friendly and nicely decorated. Hostesses are always always nice and professional even the new young lady. read more

This place is absolutely INSANE. We had a large party with so many different orders and everyone was so happy with their food! I had the cinnamon crunch French toast (it was called something else) with ham and scrambled eggs. The best French toast I ever had. Highly recommend. read more

Budget Rental Car at the airport suggested this restaurant. It turned out to be the BEST detour!!! Our waitress Stephanie was terrific. She gave us tips on her favorite things to eat. We ordered the Cheyanne, scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, and the Farmhand. Had to try everything. It was cooked to perfection! The only down side is we ate everything before we thought to take pictures. Bottom line...food's great, the service is even better. Stop in when you have a chance. read more

Great place for breakfast and brunch! Must try! Been here many times and the food is amazing every time. The dishes are very large in portion and most dishes are shareable, especially omelets. Lots of decor to read on the walls and funnier ones in the restrooms. Staff are super nice and are very knowledgeable of the menu. Cherry was great to us. read more

Came here on a Saturday with my husband. We were greeted & seated immediately. We ordered the strawberry belle a la carte & Peace maker. The Strawberry Belle was amazing! Not too sweet just perfect. The peace maker was good nothing special, it lacked a bit of flavor. The sausage was a bit dry not my favorite. The service here is 10/10! I've been coming here for years and they are still fantastic. My family loves the large portions and breakfast selections. We don't get to come here often on the weekends because the wait to get a table can be very long. But when we do eat here we really enjoy the food, atmosphere and customer service. Alright, this is an updated/new review. Almost two years later, I now realize I had the correct pancake in the past it just did not have the correct syrup. The syrup that goes with the Banana Nut Pancake, should be a peanut butter syrup and it wasn't. So now to fast forward, I ordered the Pioneer w/ the same pancakes and once again, it did not have the peanut butter syrup as it should have. Let me explain how good the peanut butter syrup is, it is DANG good and brings out the banana in the pancakes. So not getting what I ordered, dramatically changed the taste of my food. It was so good, I chose to mention it several times in this review. Yes, people, that kind of good! The bacon, to me, was a bit underdone as I am a fan of very crisp bacon. No big deal. The sausage, I really like the mild taste of it, but I wish it stood out a bit more. When I last visited as a dine-in patron, there was someone thoroughly going through her to-go order. I mean, she was taking everything out and opening every container. I have a feeling they screwed up several of her orders in the past. Now that I know they don't correctly put the to-go orders together, I will be that patron as well. I will check EVERYTHING, including the syrup. HA! read more

Amazing service from an attentive server who carried an impressive amount of plates, gave great recommendations, and kept our cups full. The chicken fried steak was moist with great breading, breakfast sides were flavorful, and French toast was the perfect crunchy texture. I can see why you need to wait 30+ minutes for this place on a weekend! read more

We sat down at 9:30am with no wait and ordered our food. We did not receive our food until 10:30. It wasn't a big order, just 2 entrees. They also charge extra to add jalapeños. It is very loud in this restaurant. If you want a nice quiet breakfast with conversation, don't come here. The food was just average breakfast food. Our waitress was very nice. read more

Delicious comfort food here at this cafe! The inside has ample seating and friendly staff working all around. Their menu is so appetizing and definitely satisfied my group with good pricing and generous portions. Their coffee offers all the flavors with their creamer selection at the table which is a plus. My *Mocachino Panckakes* were absolutely delightful: mocha pancake made with real coffee served with maple coffee glaze. Get in my belly!! The Country Fried Chicken was savory and cooked to perfection with yummy cream gravy which includes TWO sides, but bummer they only brought one side so minus a star for that even though I want to give 5 Stars. read more

Oldwest is just a great local brunch place. I lucked out and there wasn't a wait but usually there is a small wait especially Saturday and Sunday late morning. I love the feel of the place and supporting local restaurants. The lunch menu is small but there is one if someone isn't feeling breakfast. I was feeling French toast and loved all the options. Got the Round Up that had cinnamon crunch, whipped cream and strawberries. Totally delicious. I have had quite a few items on their menu and honestly have never had anything bad. Service was great and quick. read more

First time here . Recommended by a family friend and it was delicious! Came here for my bday. Our waitress was uzy and she is so sweet ! Always there for us getting uz anything we need. She also took pics of us :) the food is amazing great price for everything you get. Them pancakes are huge! And everyone is so nice. I can't say enough about this breakfast. Good prices, generous offerings and delicious. My husband had the four-egg omelette packed with meat and vegetables. Didn't even touch the sides. He talked about it for days. I had the migas with hashbrowns and it was the best migas I've ever had. Just delicious. Our server was young man who was very polite and efficient. We had a bit of an overcharge on our receipt and they were very quick to make it right. I appreciated the service and the food immensely. How I wish there was one of these where I live out of state! I love, love, love this place! I've probably been here 20 times, and I've never had a bad experience. Their breakfast menu is huge! I've tried probably 10 different items, but my go to is the Stagecoach because it combines 3 of my favorite breakfast foods on one plate. They take an open-faced buttermilk biscuit and top it with sausage gravy. They then top that with hashbrowns, topped with scrambled eggs, topped with melted cheddar and jalapeños. Yum! I also always get a side of the almond-crisp french toast. Other recommendations include the cinnamon crisp french toast, the sausage pancakes, the migas, and the breakfast tacos. My husband is a big fan of their omelets. Be prepared for a 30-50 minute wait on the weekends. No matter the weather, there will always be a big line of people. But it is worth the wait. Once you are seated, service is prompt, and the food flys out of that kitchen. I've been to the Grapevine location several times also. The food is great at that location too, but parking is a bitch, and the wait is usually longer. Still worth it though. This is my second time here, it was recommended by my co worker. I know they can provide great service, just this time wasn't it for me. It was very busy this time, we had to be placed on a waiting list. (If this happens stay inside, so they don't seat someone before you). Our waitress was kind and helpful, she was still learning the menu, which is cool cause she was looking it up and not just guessing. We were getting the facts no guessing. I respect that. It took a while for us to receive our order and it didn't arrive hot. I want to say it's the manager (she was dressed in a costume), she is very helpful and welcoming. You get four stars because for crying out loud put some felt on the bottom of your chairs as the loudest freaking sound ever is the sound of your chair being pulled out so freaking annoying Food is freaking awesome. The staff was friendly enough, I'm hoping that our server was new, not sure though, she finally brought us our drinks but our food took so long to come that it was cold. The only place to go in northeast Tarrant county for breakfast. Portions are more than filling, you'll likely be taking a box home. I've been coming here for years. Plus with the order to go you can skip the wait. Yes this place gets packed everyday it opens. Only sure fire way to not have to wait is go closer to noon. The big cross on the counter where you pay out made me decide that I probably won't return to Old West, because even IHOP is comparable food-wise. All of the "decor" is a little overwhelming.
