The servers are the only good thing here. The food isn't anything I can recommend though. Our breakfast meals were served cold not even warm so I'm not sure when they were made. Never even seen this place and I frequent the area quite a bit. Headed there today with a few friends after taking our kids to the gymnastics class close by. Upon entering I was confused to see a bar with alcohol bottles, pool tables and pretty plain white walls. It definitely gives off more of a late night bar vibe versus family friendly breakfast spot. Anyway, ordered the sandwich and soup which to my surprise they had no soup. Ordered a lemonade again no lemonade. Ordered breakfast plate for the kids no issues. Few other moms ordered alcoholic drinks and they didn't come out till way later when we were almost finished eating. It was an ok not the best experience. I love the homey cozy breakfast feels and this isn't it. But if atmosphere doesn't matter you might like this place. I'll say it's very spacious so good for large groups. read more

The nicest people. Great waitstaff. But we don't usually go to restaurants just because of the staff. So while the staff were great, the food was really lacking. And let me first say maybe I should go back and try the breakfast and Tex mex options instead of fried chicken but here we are. The chicken tenders were just so bad - over breaded and had an old oil taste. No issues with corn or toast and fries were ok. The chicken fried steak had the same twang. I was excited for the mashed potatoes but there were big chunks and they just tasted flat. I am really writing this review because maybe it's just a better spot for breakfast and I get that. I do not enjoy writing this because again, the nicest folks and because you are in my backyard and I want you guys to succeed! Great spot!! I was tempted to go for my favorite Waffle House that was across the way, but glad I stopped here! Great service and we enjoyed every bite. Syrup was served warm, hash browns were salted perfectly and the egg whites were cooked as they should be! I went in on a Sunday at 12:30pm. There was a lot of parking spots and not hard to find! It was me and one other person, we were seated immediately. Iliana was our waitress, and she was sweet. The place is huge (lots of seating) and the prices were on mark with other brunch places. We ordered and the food was brought out promptly. I had pancakes, eggs, home fries, and bacon. The food was hot and delicious. I was given a free mimosa (that makes everything delightful)! There was music coming from a Tv but not loud enough, but they just opened, a few months ago and are still figuring things out. The manager came over after we finished and checked in with us, he also pointed the owner was also there on the floor. I would definitely try it because once business picks up they will have. My friend and I like to meet at local places for lunch once a month or so. For July we picked white rock cafe. When we walked in it smelled strongly of disinfectant. While I appreciate the cleaning, it's kind of off putting when you're about to eat. We ordered the turkey club and chicken fried chicken sandwich. Turkey club looks nice but the turkey is the cheap grocery store pressed turkey. The chicken sandwich was mine, I could only eat half of it as a lot of the chicken was so hard I couldn't cut it with the butter knife I was provided. My friend advised our server and she checked it and said oh they shouldn't have served that to you. She offered to make me another one but I declined. We decided to order a dessert to share so we got the fried tortilla cheesecake thing, with strawberries. It was pretty good. No offer of credit was given for the half eaten entree that was sent back. All in all we feel there are too many good cafes in the mid cities for us to hit this one again. read more

Home fries and eggs were excellent. Grits were good. Biscuit was dry, but I was in late. I didn't get any butter for the grits or bisquit. Service was good. This is a huge place on the inside. I had the pot roast and David had the chicken fried steak sandwich but the tastiest part of the meal was the fries we dipped in cream gravy which makes me think you couldn't go wrong ordering chicken fried steak! Didn't know this place was here. Looking for a breakfast place I could enjoy a mimosa with. So we have it a go. Not disappointed. Husband has the chilaquiles and it was perfect! I had chicken Fried steak and eggs. Wasn't the best chicken fried steak I've ever had but it was good. Hashbrowns and eggs were perfect.if you order a mimosa ask for on light juice. Stopped at this place after church and was blown away! Due to its location it's easily overlooked but the prices and food are incredible and SO worth it! I got an egg white omelette that came with hashbrowns AND pancakes. The omelette was huge and the food quality was amazing especially for how affordable it is. Second time I went. First time waitress was friendly and food came out at a good time. Food was okay got the eggs Benedict, didn't think they were great. Today I show up and I tell them I want a booth. The waitress tells me they don't have one available because that waitress isn't next in line... I said I would wait even though there was 3 booths available I could see. Then I get seated, ordered 2 lg oj's that 15mins to come out. The breakfast took over 40mins to come out and they were only 1/4 opacity. I ask the waitress how long will the food take and she says well they are booked for Mother's Day. I couldn't imagine if they were full how long it would take. She wouldn't check on food, she said it should be out soon , instead of saying let me go check on that for you. This is our first visit to WRC and it was great. The food is delicious and came out hot and quick. The service was amazing! It was very clean and quiet. Lilia was our fabulous server. But started to fill up when we're leaving. The food portions were enormous and you definitely got your moneys worth. My oldest got the meat lover's omelette and it literally took up the entire plate plus it came with a waffle or two pancakes. My other kiddo got the migas and they were so good. However the chicken fried steak was tough, not a good piece of meat. The green beans had been boiled to near mush. The biscuit appeared to be made from frozen, not homemade, though it tasted fine given that. This is a new place so I'm sure there are kinks to be worked out. Maybe this was a bad day.
