All the staff were very kind and fast. We came on a Saturday morning and it was pretty slow until about 9:30. So the earlier the better. I got the Heart To Heart pancakes, which I was hesitant about the whole grain batter but it was very very good! Mi novia got the Berry Berry Bo Berry pancakes and it was so good, the berries tasted amazing, as well as so fresh! The berries were all throughout the pancakes and they were served hot and stayed hot all whilst she was eating them. On top of that, the syrup came warm as well! The large cup of coffee that sold us on coming here didn't disappoint!

Daughter gort chicken n waffles and said it was the best she has had! Large cup of refillable coffee was good as well. The atmosphere is a throw back to an old diner and that is fine with me. Not to pretentious just good food and good service. Add it to the Love List
Good Sunday morning, everyone. Hope you're up, happy, rested up. It's brunch time, having lazily arisen to greet the sunshine. Wasn't moved by hunger to Brookside today. I just felt like getting out. I love, love, love local, local, local. I still remember this spot in other iterations of businesses. In the last few years It's been serving up smiles, kindness, and homemade food. Southern comfort favorites. I enjoy the fact they serve up the coffee in an adult size mug. Big big. No one who enjoys coffee wants a sip. We want to savor, to drink a big steaming cup of brew. They understand the assignment. I have yet to butter a slice of toast here that wasn't fresh or done as if it wasn't just as important as the entree. The devil is truly in the details. They don't have a constant stream of customers for no reason. They earn each and every customer, not just us regulars. Carpe the heck out of your deim folks. As always. Give. Nuff on that. Love your lived ones a lil extra, save a kiss for the one in the mirror. Peace.
Another delicious brunch with great service! Today we enjoyed the migas with bacon added. It comes with fluffy eggs, onions, tomatoes, pickled jalapenos, tortilla strips, & cheese. It's served with three delicious homestyle flour tortillas and salsa. The Heart to Heart has eggs, protein of your choice, and big fluffy pancakes with bananas and walnuts. They have fresh whipped butter and serve the syrup warm. We'll be back!

Pretty simple on the inside, clean and kept. Came here on a Monday morning and I guess it's the place for local regulars. The waiter seemed to know a lot of names as people came in. If it brings in regulars, you know it's good.
A great diner experience - good food, good staff, huge coffee cups! Parking: There's tons of parking which is great! The restaurant itself is on the smaller size relative to parking. Seating: When we arrived they were pretty busy (noonish on a saturday). Despite the smaller size, the tables move quickly and there's flexible seating. We had a group of 5, but most tables are set for 4. There was no problem pulling a chair over (another group pushed 2 tables together). It's great how flexible and laid back the environment is to allow for that Food: I love that you can order breakfast or lunch anytime. We all got coffee and the coffee cups are huge which was extremely exciting (because we always drink tons of coffee at diners). The pumpkin pancakes were a special and definitely worth it! Breakfast plate was a solid choice. The chicken fried chicken was amazing- though the mashed potatoes were a bit cold and not soft. I wish I was able to give this a 4.5 but since there's no half stars I'll go with a 4. I do need to give a shout out to our server ! He was really awesome and had a great personality.
It's been a few days since came here, but forgot to post the review. They have interesting flavors of pancakes, so I decided to try one. I got the peanut butter cup pancake platter. Overall I was very pleased and was very sad when ate all but a couple of bites of the pancake and was too full to finish it off. They were really good, though very rich. The bacon and eggs were nothing special, but they were bacon and eggs, so didn't expect much lol. They have other flavors of pancakes, like Oreo and such, so I wouldn't object to trying this again. But I might just get the peanut butter cup one again... Very tasty
If you want a delicious and affordable breakfast spot, this is the place to go. The inside is smaller with just a few tables, but we have never had to wait for a table. The service is always very fast and we haven't had to wait long for our food. The food is delicious, we have tried so many different menu items and they have all been good. Last time I was there, I had the berry berry boo berry pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and they put just enough fruit in the pancakes. The bacon was also nice and crispy, and the eggs were fluffy. You also cannot beat the price of food here, most of the menu items are under $10.

They give you big huge cups of strong coffee so a lot of sugar & creamer were needed for us but it was good. X ordered a small apple juice & water. Javier (bf) ordered steak (well done) & eggs w/pancakes. He could not stop going on & on about it. I tasted his steak & being that it was well done I wasn't about it, but for him he loved it. X-(his daughter) ordered the peanut butter cup pancakes w/bacon & a side of hash browns. She said it was good but to sweet to finish so her dad finished it for her & brought his pancakes home for breakfast tomorrow morning LOL. I tasted hers & they were really good but I would have to agree with her. I ordered the hamburger steak lunch w/ corn & mashed potatoes. It was delicious. The only complaint was the potatoes were very very heavy on the pepper. I had Javier taste to make sure it wasn't just me & he said wow I think I'm going to sneeze. . Give it a try. The only other complaint my 2 brunch companions had was that it took a good 30-35 minutes for our food to come out. I think they were hangry. I didn't mind the wait because I was in good company but the other 2 repeated several times how long it was taking.
So I bought a Groupon because I love breakfast but then I got worried because I saw mixed reviews however I don't know what y'all experienced but I am ready to go back! I took my little person with me on a Monday morning and we walked in and were told to sit anywhere we like. There was a sign at the door letting us know that they were short staffed so going in I knew what to expect. We got seated and Virginia took our order and I swear it didn't take long for our food to come out. The food was good, although my steak came out over cooked, Virginia offered to replace it for me, the grits were not my favorite but I'm a southern gal and I'm picky about my grits, we were given hot syrup for our pancakes and the pancakes were bigger than most places. When we got ready to leave we were asked if we would like a drink to go. The process of checking out was simple and have I told y'all already that the food was good? This is a hidden gem with daily specials, lots of options (check out all the different pancakes) and good food with affordable prices.
Great little cafe for breakfast or lunch . I haven't eaten anything that wasn't good here and the wait staff are friendly . The other day when my mom and I ate here I m thinking inky one waitress so service was a little slow at first but she stayed in too if taking care of customers . Place is very clean !! read more
We wanted to get breakfast while we were visiting family. Stumbled across this place simply from reviews. We got in around 945ish am maybe we had a party of 8. We waited like what seemed to be about 45 min. Friendly staff. Our waiter took our orders, forgot my w coffee I had to flag down a waitress just to pour a cup of coffee. She came and poured him a cup. Food was delicious and portions were amazing. I'm not a coffee drinker but my husband said the coffee was nothing to run home about.. read more

Missed doing a review the first time I came to is it my family. I'm back and the place I wanted to have breakfast was here. Mom and Pop type atmosphere. The waitresses already nice and accommodating. The food was oh my goodness DELISH!!! The warm syrup for the pancakes just topped off the meal. This will always be my go to breakfast spot when I'm the Ft. Worth area. read more

Brook side was a surprise to me. You know when you just looking for a place to eat and you pull in the first place you see and it turns out to be banging well this is how we found Brookside. We were hangry (yes I said hangry) and said whatever we pass next let's just stop. Oohh man I was glad we stopped here. Everything I ordered was cooked to my liking. I mainly wanted pancakes but when I read hogs in a quilt my stomach said man get that right noowww!! It was so delicious. I love how they customized my wife's omelet and were sensitive to her food allergies. She can't eat certain foods and the waitress made sure her order was cooked to perfection. I've been wanting to come back every weekend since we first visited. I wish this place was near my home because I would go every Saturday morning. read more
Came here for a quick breakfast after an early morning with kids and all the summer camps. Super chill little place. Walking in I was greeted warmly and told I could have a seat wherever I wanted. I ordered some coffee and took a look at the menu. So many options. Since I am in a calorie deficit I tried to keep it simple by choosing the Ham and Eggs. The ham and eggs come with Hash browns and a side of toast or a biscuit. I chose some toast. The breakfast tasted really good and fresh. The eggs were fluffy and the ham was perfectly cooked. I also appreciate the fact that on your table you have all the hot sauces, and ketchup you may need. Definitely a must try place if you live in the area. read more

Nice environment, safe were very kind while I was making a pickup. Food was incredible the chocolate and peanut butter pancakes weren't too sweet and incredibly fluffy. Also the value of the food??? Very well I rarely go to food place for a low price but this was incredible place to go. read more

Good food, fun place to go. I like the small, local non-franchise type places like this. I can only comment regarding breakfast. Service was very good although it took to long to get our bill and our server appeared to take a break mid-service? It was odd, but nevertheless not a big deal. If you like local diner type breakfast, it won't dissapoint. I would go back for the pancakes and homemade bisquits. If you like good coffee hit a drive through post-breakfast and order some juice here instead. It has reasonable pricing and just a great local vibe. read more

I had been craving some strawberry banana pancakes and the only place I could think of was IHOP. I try to support local as much as possible and thanks to Yelp I was able to find this little spot on Hurst. I ordered for pick up but my food was still warm and delicious when I got home. I love how they weren't stingy with the cheese on my eggs like most places so I was able to eat most of them. Oh! & the pancakes because I ordered strawberry banana, it also had the fruit inside the pancakes! So yummy! My only thing is since I ordered to go, I didn't get a lot of syrup to drown my pancakes in, but luckily I had some extra at home will try some of their sweet pancakes next time or the biscuits my husband ordered which smelled sooo good! read more
