My family and I got there right at opening. The staff in the store and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and we loved the way they decorated it. Old and new country decor meshed well together. We started out with the fried pickles, they were very good and the ranch was too. I got the catfish. The fish was fresh and tasty as well as the hush puppies and fries. The tartar sauce was delicious. My husband got the chicken fried steak. He really enjoyed it. My dad got the brisket tacos and stated they were delicious. The brisket and hamburger meat nachos both got high praises. Check hours, not open late mid week. Gift staff was nice to come over and tell us if we wanted a souvenir to come over. Burger was a burger. Bloody Mary was okay, my chicken tender garnish came out after drink was almost consumed. Skip the mashed potatoes, maybe it was just late, we arrived an hour before closing so end of day fixings came our way. Old Blake videos played from back in the mullet days. It wasn't the hoppin' Saturday night that I was hoping for, but we had a good time at Ole Red. As a fan of country music, a visit to Oklahoma would not have been complete without a visit to Ole Red. We enjoyed the live music, the food and the merchandise store. As for the dining, the service was super friendly, as we have come to expect in Oklahoma. I know I'm generalizing, but they really are the nicest people. The food was simple fare of burgers, salads, and other classics. We shared the pretzel and white queso to start. I've developed a fondness for white queso. My husband had a burger and he loved the awesome sauce. I had the meatloaf and it was delicious. Great Food! Small dinning area. Small menu but waitress said they rotate items due to small kitchen . You enter through the gift shop area. We figured that out after trying twice to open door straight into dinning area. I'm sure customers sitting on inside were laughing! We noticed the sign.....eventually!! So no wait, they seated us and waitress was there to greet us. This was a Saturday approx 2:00 in afternoon. We ordered Fried Green Tomatoes and Pickles. Served with 2 cups of Ranch. Let me say, at first we asked ourselves....where's the Tomatoes! Then came a bite of a small diced chunk that was amazing! Sweet! I have only had the Round slices of Fried Green Tomatoes so I was surprised. You have to order these for sure. We ordered the Bull burger to share. Best ever! Grilled onions n sweet peppers. Oh so Juciy and delish. Top it off we had a order of hush puppies. Round balls with corn. Live music and best service. Good sweet tea. Full bar so I bet good drinks too. Good size gift shop. The positives are clean restaurant and bathrooms. Service was friendly and food delivered promptly. This was a Saturday drive from OKC to experience something new. So sad for a $68 meal for two with no adult beverages the food did not deliver a better quality. The only thing made from scratch is the chips per the server. Everything else comes in frozen, pre grilled , pre seasoned and pre cooked. You could get better food at a local diner at less cost. On my travels back home to Texas the other day, I decided to divert off Interstate 35 today and take the backroads of Oklahoma. It was a beautiful day, we were in no hurry, and why not? My aunt hit me up and suggested I meet her in Tishomingo, Oklahoma and give Ole Red a try for lunch. So, we keyed the address into the GPS and rerouted the Suburban. After a nice long scenic drive from OKC, we arrived. The restaurant is right off of West Main Street, so parking was limited and construction robbed even more parking from the restaurant. No biggie, we could use the exercise, so I parked and we went for a stroll. We walked in the door, and right into the gift shop. Greeted promptly by two friendly young ladies with menus in hand ready to seat us. Down a hallway, and to a table we went. Today they had live music, so we were in for another treat. We were greeted by a nice waitress shortly thereafter that took our drink orders. We ordered drinks and perused the menu. I was digging the ambiance and vibe of this place being a lover of country music. The menu was very simple. A few appetizers to choose from, salads, a burger, three entrees, desserts, and beverages are the only thing on the menu. It also is a one sided menu, so it did not take long for us to decide what we were going to have. Our menus were a bit worn, and hard to read. My wife ordered the bluetick burger, as did myself, and my aunt ordered the Nashville hot chicken salad. Now we wait. While we waited, we listened to a young lady by the name of Emily Rhyne sing some tunes. She started out with a little country (real country, not the pop crap), then started covering other genres to include classic rock, like "Turn the Page," and also some pop tunes to include Britney Spears. The young lady was very talented and had a beautiful voice. I do wish her future success. I am sure she will find it. We waited for our food. Waited some more. Occasionally, we got the "your food is up soon." Those soon turned into "I don't know what the hold up is, let me check." Eventually, "I am so sorry." We watched numerous other plates come out, and some other patrons even pay and leave, and we still did not have food. At one point my aunt quipped "If Dorothy were here, she'd be back in that kitchen setting them straight." Finally, a manager came by and apologized. She said she was going to go back there and check on the food herself and told us "lunch is on me today guys. You will not be paying for this." This was great - as we had not complained, and she was going to make it right before we had to. Our drinks did stay full while we waited, so that also made our wait not as bad as well. Shortly after the manager checking, violá, our food arrived. Our order had gotten lost in the queue of orders in the kitchen, and somehow lost. Our waitress and manager apologized profusely and left us to our meals. The wife enjoyed her burger, as did I. The wife thought hers was very good, while I just thought mine was not bad. It was a decent burger, nothing special. Just an average burger. That is to say it didn't wow me, but I'd eat it again. My aunt enjoyed her salad, and took some of hers home with her. After enjoying our meal, the waitress came by and said we were good to go. We tipped the waitress generously, as it was not her fault, and walked toward the exit. On the way out you have to walk through the souvenir shop. After browsing through the items, I decided on a shirt, as did the wife. A bit overpriced, but considering we were comped lunch, the price was not as bad. I am going to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I understand restaurants drop the ball sometimes, and these things do happen. Seeing how all of the other diners were eating pretty quick, this was not the norm. Bonus points for the manager for making it right, before we even had to complain. Also, full drinks all the whole time by our waitress salvaged what was shaping up to be a disaster of a visit. This would have been a two star visit had they not recovered! I recommend this place if you pass through Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The food was pretty good, and Emily was even better. My family and I love Blake Shelton, so we drove here from Texas to check it out (we've been to the one in Nashville as well). It's safe to say it was not worth it at all. We got Nachos and fried pickles. The nachos were so cold we had to send them back. The fried pickles were good. I ordered a burger. I asked for it well done and it came out totally pink and the buns were completely soaked in grease. Not even my husband or brother finished it for me. The menu options were limited and the selection of cocktails and drinks were also minimal. The service was fine and the live music was good but it didn't make up for the lack of atmosphere. It took us longer to drive there than we stayed there. Super disappointed!! Would not recommend unfortunately. read more

If you're a Blake Shelton fan, this is such a great atmosphere and experience! We were in Ardmore for work and decided to travel through Tishomingo on our way home because of the Blake Shelton tourism. Of course we went to the store next door first and it's of course all very touristy items, but they had almost anything you could think of! The restaurant was set up extremely well. They have a stage for life music, TV's playing music videos and Blake Shelton specials. All of his awards and platinums are on the walls along with quotes from his songs. There's a bar full of his special drinks and vodka, all names after him. If you get your drink in a mason jar you get to keep the mason jar! I had the Blake-a-Rita and the Sex on Some Beach, both good drinks! For lunch I had the fried catfish, which of course you can never go wrong. The fries were season and were delicious. The house hush puppies were also super yummy, just wish they had a sauce for them! My husband got the onion burger and he said it was super good! Overall such a great experience. Been thinking about coming over here for a couple of years. It's a great venue with really good eats. We tried the fried chicken salad, cheeseburgers, and chicken fried steak. All great and can't imagine Blake having it any other way! We got in late so we're able to take some good pictures. Music videos played on some of the TVs...which was nice. Stopped back by for a second time last night maybe 10 minutes before closing. They graciously invited us in and welcomed us to order anything we wanted and to not worry about the time. We had the sirloin steak and meatloaf. Both were very good although my green beans were not warm. Place is still fun to eat at and the music videos were fun to watch. The retail manager asked us if we would like for her to keep the store open and we told her we were not going to be shopping that evening. She thanked us and said if we changed our minds she would happily open it back up. Very friendly. We'll return next trip through. read more

I would give it 5 stars, but there were a few things that let us down. I had the water critters combo and it was excellent. The chicken grey was wonderful, the honey bee chicken was great. Out of all of our meals the only slightly disappointing was the sirloin (I don't care for that cut anyway) but it was tough and came out cold. They put it back on and it was ok. Loved the music and everything else. The other thing is if you are having a Strawberry Margarita... ask for no salt but sugar on the rim. read more
