Took a girls trip weekend and stopped by Ole Red along the way. The bar and gift shop were well done and I could see it would be a lot of fun when it was hoppin! The restaurant was clean and airy in an old downtown building that had been updated to fit the vibe. The staff were friendly and quick to bring whatever we needed. The food was mediocre but our favorite was the Honey Bee Chicken dinner. It was a bit of a mess to look at but had wonderful flavor. As we went on a Saturday afternoon, we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Live music was starting as we left. Sorry to say Blake didn't make an appearance during our visit, but maybe next time! Nice drive from DFW to Tishomingo for dinner on Sunday night. I was worried that it would be packed on a holiday weekend and surprised that we were seated immediately. Service was attentive and super nice! I got the BS Bloody Mary because why not?!? It had a slim Jim, pickled veggies, and a big ole piece of chicken! The Bloody Mary was delicious too. We both ordered the chicken fried steak. I enjoyed it...as my empty plate was evidence of that!! M ate my biscuit (I'm not always in a bread mood) and he said they were really good..a little sweet (I had thought about honey). Dessert was a big ole brownie. Enjoyed the trip to Tishomingo to visit Ol' Red's. We arrived shortly after 1pm on a Saturday and got seated right away. Our Server, Traci, was great. My wife got the Backroad Tacos and I got the Honey Bee Dinner. Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes. Which is great from a time standpoint but concerning from a quality standpoint. According to my wife the tacos were good, needed a bit more sauce but overall good. The Honey Bee Chicken was flavorful and juicy. The only thing that was just ok was the mashed potatoes. They had decent flavor but had been sitting for quite some time on the line as they had a dried out crust that was just scooped through when they were making my plate. Overall it was good experience and with the other things to do and see in the area it is worth a visit. read more

Good food and great service. We had brisket nachos, pretty sure they are using their queso for the cheese I had the catfish really good but not unusual Plank fried potatoes, a lot. Home made hush puppies were delicious but only three. I will ask for more hush puppies next time and less fried potatoes. The bourbon pecan pie was to die for. Not a gourmet delight but good food and worth the time. Beer is all InBev (Bud and Anthem). Loved Anthem at their tap room in OKC but not sure it is still brewed there. Both Anthems I had here weren't good. Loved that there was live music even in the afternoon read more

Meh. Kind of surprised it wasn't a very good experience overall. My wife being a huge fan of the owner wanted me to take her for her B-day. Now granted it was a Wednesday afternoon, we weren't expecting a bunch of entertainment. Walking in the door, you find yourself in the gift shop. Dining area is dark and was hard to see the menu. Service was good for our visit. But could be improved. But the food.... Trying to be positive but, we both threw napkins over it to hide the half eaten portion and we arrived hungry. It was nice to see the accomplishments of the owner with the awards and pictures on the walls but, my wife being a huge fan says " We won't be back." Good luck if you go. read more

So while at Lake Texoma in N Texas this weekend we drove up to Tishomingo for lunch at Ole Red. Overall pretty good. The place is right on Main Street, you can't miss it. There are two restaurants really, Ole Red and The Dog House ant the hostess stand is in the middle in the retail store. I was glad we were seated in Ole Red since the music in the Doghouse was really loud. The staff and service providers and manager we're all extremely pleasant, attentive a willing to make things right. We started with a margarita and hubby's usual Bud Light. The margarita comes in a take home souvenir glass but for me was a little weak and a little sweet. I corrected to my taste by getting another shot of tequila to add to it. The bar has limited brand options. Example, 3 tequilas. For our lunch we started with the nachos. After we saw the size of the platter o'nachos we determined that was going to be enough!!!! However, the heat of the nachos was not consistent. Part of the order was warm and part was cold. I asked that they be put under the broiler to heat up. All they had were heat lamps as warmers. The manager was more than happy to take them back to the warmer for a bit. There was also cold salsa on top. Fresh cilantro and fresh peppers added to the flavor of the pork verde. The nachos are served as a pile. A big pile. Personally I would rather have less pileage and hotter, less chance of soggy chips. Had the nachos been in a single layer, we would more likely to order a main. After the nachos we decided on just going straight to dessert. We ordered the pecan bourbon cobbler and the ooey, gooey Oreo chocolate brownie. Both served hot, with vanilla ice cream. Our fav was the brownie It truly was gooey and hot! The bourbon pecan cobbler was mainly sauce and pecans with minimal cobbler crust. Overall the experience was pleasant, the live entertainment was enjoyable and not overpowering. read more

I hear there's going to be one opening up in Vegas. Whether it will be in the near future or later, it doesnt matter, I can't wait to go as it will be a lot closer than the original restaurant in Tishomingo. I mean, it's true. This visit was right around noon, it wasn't busy at all, and there was a local singer by the name of Tanner Young displaying his talent on the small stage towards the back. You make your entrance through the gift shop on the right side of the 2 part location. There, a host will seat you which is about 50 feet in another area. After eating, we shopped for some hats, shirts, and other souvenirs to bring back home. What made this place awesome was the dessert. I'll get to that in a minute. But first, I'll tell you about the Onion Burger that I ate. It was well done, and carmelized with just the right amount of beer onions. I wanted another, I was that hungry and this sandwich didn't fill me up as I thought it would. But that's only because I wasn't snacking enough on the fried green tomatoes for appetizers, which were also delicious. Now for my take on the Ooey Gooey Tub O Fudge Brownie..... What was that??!! I mean, arent brownies suppose to taste like a brownie? Texture and flavor wise? Well, whatever this was, it was almost like a cake. But not soft and moist as cake are supposed to be. This was a good combination with the ice cream. When you see it, it looks simple, as in "eh, I can make that." But, all I know is that I want another one. Fantastic food! My wife and I both had the catfish, fries, pickled tomatoes, and hush puppies, and every bit of it was delicious! Pecan cobbler was delicious too! Very unique atmosphere! Live music, which wasn't too loud, and music videos when the band takes breaks. Nice gift shop (but a little pricey). I enjoyed seeing some of Blake Shelton's awards. All of the employees were friendly. I was really surprised at how good the food tasted. Definitely worth the drive, especially if you're a Blake Shelton fan. We decided to drive down to Tishomingo, OK this afternoon to check out Ole Red. We were expecting to dine in Ole Red. There was a sign on Ole Red that said SEE CASHIER FOR A TABLE. So we walked to the gift shop to get a table. She took us to The Doghouse. We were disappointed with how loud the music was. Live and radio were both too loud. We were expecting to eat in a restaurant not a bar. We couldn't even talk. We were yelling at each other. The hostess should have asked if we wanted Ole Red or The Doghouse. Geesh we drove almost 2 hours to get there. We didn't know there was an option until we were leaving and saw people going into Ole Red. The hostess sat us at a dirty table. When we finally got a waiter we asked to move. After he moved us he said he would be back. When he finally came back we got to order drinks. We ordered a pretzel with sausage cheese. It was a little hard. The sausage queso wasn't a hit with us. I ordered The Bull Burger. I was okay. I was expecting it to be full of spicy flavor because of the description given. It wasn't. Hubby got the Ranch Chicken Sandwich. The menu said it was smothered in ranch dressing. Neither of us could taste any ranch at all. The chicken was very dry. My daughter ordered a hamburger with cheese and pickles. The pickles were forgotten. She was almost done with her burger when she finally got them. The fries were the best thing we ate. Hubby and daughter ordered specialty non alcoholic drinks. Hers was good and his wasn't that great. The menu was very limited. But like I said we ended up at The Doghouse and NOT Ole Red because we were NOT given that option by the hostess that set us. We thought Ole Red was closed because we weren't given an option. Well worth the forty minute wait. Ihad the country meatloaf which was very good. More like hamburger steak than traditional meatloaf. Had a brown gravy topping vice tomatoes sauce. We drove through Tishomingo on our way to drop my grandson off at scout camp. On our way back to Texas we decided to stop for a late lunch. Although not terribly busy there were several tables that were filled and we were a group of 4. We all ordered our food and an appetizer to share. They brought our drinks, best root beer I've had in a long time. Service was great! I had the Oklahoma burger with a gluten free bun. The meat was juicy, medium rare and very flavorful. Hand cut fries were perfect and plentiful. The Bourbon Pecan cobbler was outstanding. I was on carb and calorie overload, but it was just after Christmas and I would get back to my strict diet after the first o the year. read more

Ok so I am not a Blake Shelton fan... but it was one of those places you just wanna check out. It's a cute little restaurant. Very small. Restrooms were clean and modern. Food. Well.... it lacked a little. I had a burger. It was fair. The bun was way bigger than then meat (unusual in a place like this). My BF had brisket/bison chili... he said it tasted like Golden Coral chili... yep what he said lol. The biscuit that came with it was good. The fries were good but a very small portion. My cousin & I we're visiting Oklahoma & hitting up Ole Red in Tishomingo was on our list. We called ahead on 4/28 to make sure they were open since there were several tornadoes the day before & verified with the person hours of operations. We went with 14 people from a car club, all were impressed with the service and food. This was several weeks ago, most of us had at least one vaccine shot and were apprehensive about being close to others we don't know. Ole Red would rate excellent on spacing in the seating area and store. The food we ordered was mostly simple burgers and such, but all was very good and enjoyed. The best was the service, they were fast and all the food came out at the same time. We all would highly recommend Ole Red. read more

My traveling companion WAS so excited to visit Ole Red. Since we were staying in Suphur, OK (which is about 30 miles away) we decided to visit Ole Red in Tishomingo or "Tish." My friend's expectations weren't outrageous . . . thank goodness because there is absolutely nothing special about this place. The atmosphere is comfortable. The dog photos on the walls are the best! It's clean. A band was playing on the stage. Judging by some of the reviews pertaining to the wait to get into the place, I highly recommend visiting during the week at lunch. Counting the two of us, the number of staff far exceeded the number of customers. We weren't hungry for a big lunch so we noshed on chips, a small cup of sausage queso (BLECH!) and salsa at a cost of $10. I regret I didn't take a picture of our order. There were about 30 chips with nasty, nasty, OH-SO NASTY queso and flavorless salsa. The queso was the consistency of soft concrete but tasted a little better (I am guessing, I haven't tasted concrete). Yes, we should have complained to the staff but we didn't. The staff were VERY GOOD! We were greeted with smiles and our beverage glasses were kept filled. My friend wanted a t-shirt from their gift shop. If you want the same, bring $30 for a plain ol', short sleeved t-shirt with Ole Red printed on it. THIRTY DOLLARS! To use your debit/charge card is quite a process. If your card has a chip, you insert the chipped end into the machine THEN you remove it and insert the opposite end of the card THEN you slide the card. Unsure if they need IT help or a new machine but that is one effed up process! My personal opinion, this place isn't so much a hometown restaurant or bar but a tourist trap. If you are a fan of Blake Shelton and a fan of anything and everything that has his name on it, go forth and have a good time! Alrighty then, there's my review. read more

This was our first visit this evening. Skye was our server. There had been a couple of snags thru-out dinner. She became rude and very disrespectful when we questioned our bill. We asked to speak to the manager, Kelsey, and she acted just as inappropriately, while Skye was arguing with her in front of other staff members. We were disappointed in our visit to Ole Reds as we are in the area often and Tishomingo needs a family friendly gathering place where you will be treated with respect and be able to enjoy good food. Food is delicious, price is far from expensive. Out of Toby Keith restaurant and all the other famous peoples restaurants that I've been to this by far exceeds my expectations. We spent around 60 dollars for 3 adults and 2 kids. I also not only got a burger but added on brisket and bacon as extras and we still barely spent that much on 5 meals. Absolutely delicious, hopefully see Blake or Gwen one of these times. I know the kids would be excited. read more

not sure what the big thing is about Ole Red-love Blake Shelton but this was just another place to listen to music which was really good when we where here 10/23 for my birthday. But the food was teribble. $100 for two people for hambuger (Small size), cold fries, one water and two beers. Nothing to write home about not empress. Then the bathroom situation on the top floor. If there is a private party going on you can't use the bathroom on that floor. I have a tummy problem (2 years of it). I was denied the bathroom due the party and the hostess at the elevator laughed when I told why I needed it. That was so wrong of her and no one said anything when we complained. She needs a listen (all of them) of the ADA rights. If you are going to have a private party on the top floor you should not allow any other vistors on this floor. Will not go back and will not recommend. You want some good food worth the monies go to HASH AND GO GO! read more

My bestie & I were in Turner Falls & decided to drive here for dinner. She loves her some Blake. To her dismay she didn't get to see him, feel him, throw her panties at him, or even smell his sweat, however she did walk away w/a T-shirt. I opted for a hat & magnet. We were seated & the band was playing a cover of my fav musician Miranda Lambert. Lmao! We ordered I got the special meatloaf sandwich minus the bread. It was really good atmosphere was good all except the biker chic making threats if they played another Miranda song! LOL really! I'm not sure if this an okie thing or what but other patrons were drinking & she complained to the waitress there wasn't enough alcohol. The waitress brought over the mgr. who the patron tells again it's not as strong as the last few. The mgr picks it up (the drink) & taste it. She says tastes fine but I'll fix you up. Love going to this little gem! Staff is always so friendly. We take a day trip from DFW to Tishomingo, OK. I fell in love with Ole Red in Nashville. The food is really yummy too. We have gotten the burger several times and this last time I got the Redneck Tacos- they are soooo good. We got seated this time in The Dog House, it was huge and live music at lunch time. The first time we ate there we ate in the restaurant side which is rustic and intimate. They have some great t-shirts in their shop too. read more

Prior to actually seeing Blake Shelton, I begged my husband to eat at his restaurant in Tishomingo. He, of course agreed! You are immediately smacked with pictures of Blake Shelton and hearing his music. Nothing wrong with that!! *cue starry eyes* I've never had fried green tomatoes with herb dressing. Soooo tasty. He had the onion burger and Ole Red salad. He said they were both super. I had the (Redneck) brisket tacos. It was waaaay too much food but every bite was outrageously yummy. No dessert because we don't do that but we saw some with other patrons. Looked great. My husband took me to the store and we got some Blake merch. My husband ordered a steak when they brought it to him they said they didn't have any steak knives because no one had washed them yet. the person said he could try a butter knife to cut it. The beans that come with the steak were awful very very bland. when the waitress was asked about them she just said she didn't know she never eats them.
