Ole Red dang Blake did you even sample your high dollar menu - I sat down and asked the waitress how's the meat loaf she said it's GREAT so I ordered it my wife got just a average cheese burger - the meat loaf came out it looked awful like Ole Reds dog food however since it was like 16.00 I said I better eat it. By the time I was done before the check got there I felt my a BIG rumble in my stomach I thought OH shit!!!! We went to the gift shop to look at all Blake's high dollar T shirts where there was 4 girls working the counter and not one seem to know what they where doing WELL here goes my stomach again I ran to Blake's golden thrown where I made a pretty big deposit for about 15 minutes - I walked to the car where my wife was waiting and got in sat down and pa pow that rumble in my stomach was back - I ran back into Blake's golden thrown and blew it up real good - when I walked back out the hostess asked are you ok I just looked at her touched my stomach and said meat loaf she smiled and I left. We arrived on a Saturday night around 6:00 pm and told it was an hour to 1 1/2 hour wait. At 7:30 we still were 6th on the list. We asked about the empty tables (there were at least 3 ). We were then told after waiting 1 1/2 hour that they were holding those tables for a group of 22. Through out the waiting the hostesses were very casual and it appeared they could not have cared less. We also observed several people walking out as we eventually did due to the extensive delay in getting a table. We got the strong feeling that "we weren't a regular so we were not important. Mr. Blake Shelton you need to get your restaurant in shape if you expect it to be successful. Maybe instead of spending so much money promoting yourself all over the town, find a way to teach your employees some customer service. read more

Just ate here and closed the place down. There were 3 of us. We had the chips, hot sauce and queso. The queso was good. The hot sauce was fair. Need more seasoning on the hot sauce. My husband and myself split the Blue Tick burger and our son had the Bull Burger. It was good we also had water and three alcoholic drinks. The service was good except the waiter forgot the mustard which we requested on the side. They need to add more to the menu but I guess due to the "Rona" it has been a limited menu. We live near the area and come here every so often. I wish they didn't close so early on the weekends. But being a small town everything closes early. But definitely need to add to the menu. They have local talent being from OK City and around the area. Just need to work on the sound which I believe is on an individual basis with the singer. Not the restaurant's fault. read more

I have so looked forward to the opening of Ole Red. We arrived at 3pm on Saturday and had a 50 minute wait. They text you when your table is ready which I thought was a nice touch. While waiting, we shopped at the store. They had a nice selection of cute and comfy clothing and random things. I spent $143 for three shirts, a hat, and two shot glasses. We get seated after our wait and the waitress tells us they accept cash only tonight because of a system malfunction. With no ATM, my husband had to walk a block to get cash. For dinner, I started off with the ($12) Ole Red Bloody Mary. It was fantastic. I ordered Nashville spicy chicken and waffles. I was warned of the spice however, the spice was not the problem. The dry rub used was so think coated that even after fried it came off in clumps. The clumps fell into the holes of my waffle and made it uneatable. My husband ordered The Bull with house chips, my daughter had the chicken sandwich with fries. Both meals were good. My little one had a turkey sandwich kids meal. It too was good. Kids meals were priced at $6.95. All pricing was really reasonable in the restaurant. Dessert was decent: charms cookies were basically sugar cookies and lucky charms marshmallows piled on top. I had bourbon pecan pie and honestly it similar to my pecan pie at Thanksgiving. My husband ordered waffle pudding. It came out undercooked with a slimy consistency and tasted of pine sol (clove seasoning)! Frankly, it was awful and we wouldn't eat it. They offered to replace to which we declined. The craziest part of the whole ordeal.... once dinner was done we are waiting for our ticket for about 20 minutes. The waitress told us they were waiting to process the ticket because of the malfunction. Another 20 passes and she comes out and says they can't figure it out so we could just leave. Our meal was probably $100 and it would only a minute to manually add the prices from the menu and add sales tax. Then once the system came up they could manually key those transactions. I'm sure they are working out the kinks. However, they need to establish a down time process to assist them in processing orders. When technology fails go paper. P.s. Our waitress was wonderful. The atmosphere here is great. When we were seated, the waitress came up greeted us & took our drink orders. We decided to order fried green tomatoes for starters. They were excellent. I ordered the brisket tacos & my mom ordered the bison chili. When the chili came out, I was very impressed it was a decent sized bowl, granted for the price it should be. The brisket tacos were delicious, I just wish there was more brisket in the tacos. Also they didn't have cheese on the tacos, which I was not used to. Other than that all the food was great. They played Blake Shelton music the whole time, which was great. The prices are expensive for being in Tishomingo, but the food is worth it. We had plenty of leftover, almost 3 meals worth so I'm okay with paying a little higher for good food & leftovers. read more

Our first trip to Ole Red's . I was assuming it was more of a tourist trap where prices would be up and quality would be average. No Blake sighting. The craft beer selection was not extensive but what I had was super. It was a local craft from nearby OKC. I had the chicken fried steak and it was super. My wife had a salad with Nashville hot chicken fried steak pieces. They forgot the hot part and had to bring it after but the review on it was still good. Service was super. Mixed review on the band but almost any live music is good music. The gift shop is fun. Lots of $30 tshirts but they are also unique. And they give a military discount for vets as well. Got to visit this around the grand opening. Very cool environment that had me wishing I was there on a Friday or Saturday night and not in the early afternoon! Pretty hefty drink/beer menu. Lots of good choices on draft! Menu can best be described as "Down home, Oklahoma style" steaks/burgers to Tex Mex, bar food to BBQ, there was something for everyone! The presentation of the food was awesome! Everyone in my party agreed; the food tasted as good as it looked! We all had different things from around the menu and everything was really tasty! Definitely try the brisket tacos. Staff was really friendly and didn't seem overwhelmed for the mass of people visiting. I'm a Gordon Ramsey wannabe and brother, I wanted to get back in that kitchen and whip up a meal worthy of Blake Shelton's name. But I couldn't, so I just ate what they served me and left, never to return again. Unless Blake gives me a call someday...why then I'll be up there faster then a blue tic hound can run because I'd love to whip up a meal Blake would melt over while I melt over his beautiful blue peeps, lol. The restaurant itself is really cool, I love the decor, it's rustic and homey. However, the food is just sub par. When I go out to eat I like to enjoy delicious food, from steak and lobster all the way down to a cheezy hot dog. There's no reason why food should taste any other way. However, the chef at Ole Red has managed to take food to a level below average. Blake, you need a serious kitchen makeover, get a bbq dude in there, a down home southern cookin' grandma, anything would be an improvement. Stopped by on our way home to Dallas. Loved the vibe and the live music on Saturday night. We were seated right away and our server was super sweet and attentive. Food came out quickly and was presented very nice. Had the catfish and it was great. We also ordered burgers and Mac and cheese. All good. Ordered the chili and well you know I'm from Texas and though it had good flavor it also had what BEANS! No bueno for my family. We don't think chili should ever have beans. I only wish I had taken a picture. The food was awesome. We got the honey glazed chicken and the Alabama chicken. So so good. Chicken was tender and cooked perfect. There were 4 in our group so everyone tried to get something different. We started with the chip, queso and salsa as a appetizer. Food was blah and i swear the prison steak i ordered was nothing more than steak fingers from the dairy queen down the street. Seating was terrible. Had to sit on an old hard bar stool next to a table that was nothing more than sawmill cut lumber with a polyethylene coating and uneven as hell. Blake Shelton should be ashamed of his little establishment. If I'm ever in Tishomingo again I'll eat steak fingers at the DQ for six dollars instead of the fifteen dollar steak fingers at old reds. read more

This restaurant would have been 3 stars "A-OK" instead of 4 "Yay! I'm a fan." if it wasn't for the service (from hostess, to server, to manager). My family of 10 adults came in for food after a funeral service. Some of us were from as far as NW Kansas, NE Oklahoma, and a couple from Dallas. We were walk-ins and they tried to accommodate us immediately with outdoor seating but we decided to wait. We were told, politely, that the wait would be at least 20 minutes. We visited the gift shop (didn't buy anything because a $35+ shirt ought come with a 1 year warranty/replacement plan), saw the Dogs Wanted wall (joked about the lack of Kansas pups), and found ways to occupy our time. It wound up being a 30 minute wait but we didn't even notice. I only know because I was curious and checked my phone for the text I got that said we were added to the wait list. Our server, April, was attentive and refreshingly forward. We were discussing appetizers or just ordering entrees and she was direct and honest in a very delicate way that a group of our size would take a bit to get food out and if we were hungry an appetizer might be a good idea. We wound up getting a couple orders of the chips + queso/salsa and an order of hushpuppies. I LOVED the hushpuppies app, it would be a bit big for just 2 people unless you're working with a real appetite. There were 6 balls in about 2" diameter. The sauce with them had a good hint of jalapeno and was delicious. The queso, as another reviewer mentioned, was very thick. They referred to it as "concrete" texture which is pretty accurate but I really enjoyed it and my husband who never likes queso preferred it. The salsa was a failure to me but everyone like different types of salsas. Drinks came out accurately for our 10 top, refills were no issue, April did a great job managing us all. My end of the table was good about sharing. I ordered the Chicken and Waffles (Spicy) since I'd always wanted to try that kind of dish. They were surprisingly delicious. I have no baseline for how they should be. If I get them the next time I'm in Tish I will ask for the syrup on the side though. Another family member had the meatloaf which I tried and was pleased with. Nothing to write home about though. A different family member got the ribs and jimminy fucking christmas they were phenomenal. That's what I plan on getting next time. I'm always hesitant about ribs, especially in touristy type restaurants but I love the bite I got. I heard the tacos were good from another person at our table who ordered them. Tried the catfish and thought it was fine but another family member said it tasted farm raised as though that is a negative thing so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Over all everyone at the table seemed very happy with their meals with the exception of my husband. Our table all ordered main entrees for the most part and my husband ordered a caesar salad with the chicken. The chicken was $4 extra and he barely ate any of it. I tried a piece of the chicken after he mentioned not enjoying it and the chicken was definitely very dry and a bit bland. He said that salad itself was under-dressed and honestly that doesn't surprise me based on how the chicken tasted. Sometimes a meal will be hit or miss for a restaurant. Someone else said the ribs were terrible in the reviews, I beg to differ. So maybe it was a one-off on the salad. Over all the experience was good and the service was great. I snuck off to try and pay for the apps, my meal, & my husband's and the wonderful manager (I wish I got her name!) was able to grab our server, get the check to me, and my family is still non-the-wiser. My only real complaint is those darn red metal chairs. They were really uncomfortable. read more

We ordered the Fried Pickle appetizer, which was really good. My daughter ordered the Good Ole Burger with a side of Garlic Mashed Potatoes. She said the burger was delicious, but the potatoes lacked garlic. My husband ordered the Redneck Tacos which he thought were really good. I ordered the Fried Catfish which came with steak fries, hush puppies, and yummy pickles green tomatoes. The food was really good, but the service was really slow. I brought a tour group through Tishomingo. We had lunch at "Ole Red." What a wonderful surprise. The food was great! We had three different salads along with some delicious sausage and a great homemade biscuit. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is friendly as can be. My family and I drove down from Edmond to eat here mainly because it being about Blake Shelton. The place is so uniquely decorated and loved the music they played. My daughter loved their fries. My husband and I however thought the food was overpriced for the amount you get. Also the alcohol drink I had was a very small glass ,maybe an 8oz at the most , of a mixed drink "sex on the beach" I though it was overpriced also tasting hardly no vodka at all for $10!
