Fire and Ice Ravioli Main

So this restaurant has been on my radar for quite a long time. We noticed it awhile ago as it was right next door to one of my favorite bakeries and I had bookmarked it on Yelp. So we're sitting in a bar (really!) and this couple came in and sat a few seats down from us and I overheard the man say he owns 2 restaurants. Being the foodies that we are my husband asked him which restaurants he owned, I was pretty excited when I heard he owned Oli's Eatery and another place that I also had bookmarked! We headed over to Oli's Eatery last week for dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious. We got a seat in front of a window and we ordered drinks, my husband got a beer (he was happy with the selections) and I decided to try a Georgia Peach. I absolutely loved the Georgia Peach and ended up having 2! We ordered our appetizer the Bruschetta which was excellent and for our meals my husband got the lasagna which he was happy with and I ordered the Fire and Ice. I loved the Fire and Ice, but if you don't love HOT dishes you might want to pass on this. Our server was Raychel and she was very informative with all our questions and took great care of us. We enjoyed it all and will visit again!

Great food and great service. My first time here, service was great and all three girls that were working were so helpful with all of our questions about the food.

We did a take out order of Tortellini Matthew and penne carbonara. Each meal $22.00 each. The tortellini meal was fine. The Carbonara was awful possibly 1/2 piece of bacon cut up a total of 5 peas and a half a teaspoon of sauce. I tried to email the restaurant with pictures only to have the email come back as undelivered. Sorry but the last meal I'll take out from this restaurant.

Never had been here before, thought we'd try something different. We will be going back as much as we can. The Bruschetta is AMAZING!!!! We were going to order an app but ended up doing so at the last minute, so glad we did. My entree was blah! The Bruschetta stole the show though. Loved it, will try something different for a meal next time, or just order 2 plates of bruschetta. Did I mention the bruschetta was amazing!

My second trip to this establishment for a Sunday evening was fairly busy one large party by the window was sat fairly quickly as I was dining solo mind you where I live it's a 20 minute drive to dine in either direction I go. So places need to be top notch for me ordered a beverage Diet Coke with lime. My go too when the waitress returns I give her my order chicken Parmesan with angel hair for the pasta aske for meat sauce instead of the marinara figuring there would be sauce on the parm no bread was brought to me with my drink pfft. A travesty in an Italian restaurant. Right. ? Meal came. Look at the photo. Pasta was already mixed like a can of chef boy ar dee not how I like my pasta. Should be plated and sauce poured on top of it ?? Ok. My chicken parm was cold. 2 breaded breast decent size. But cold ugh. Sent it back fearing it would just get tossed in the microwave. I was returned a few minutes later. With a ton of sauce on it and ehh warm. Not hot. I prefer my meal specifically my chicken parmigiana HOT. As I was dining I heard the waitress say I'm so sorry 3 times to the table behind me. Not sure what the deal was but.... Yea. For $21 it should be top notch. It wasn't. All in all it's I decent place maybe just an off night

Nice place for a family dinner. The atmosphere was comfortable, though it got a little busy during peak hiurs.

Food wasn't great, oily and dry. Service was good. Place was a little dirty/run down looking.

Yes, we had lunch there on Friday, 6/7 and I had baked haddock with rice for $15. It was very good and at a reasonable price!

The flavor wasn't amazing but the bread was very fresh. And i was dry. The salad was as expected. The dressing was a little greasy. But the service was really good.

But the quality and service were very good, so if you're OK with spending a bit, it might be fine. Friends tell me I should have just swiped left on a dating suggestion for someone who says "the man should pay" on first date. She had picked the venue, and when we sat down immediately bought a mixed drink (before noon) and an expensive entree without consulting me. Not that I think a woman needs to consult a man, but then again I don't think a man should always be the one to pay either. Was any of that the restaurant's fault? Not exactly. But the fact that the prices seemed more than I'd ordinarily want to pay for lunch didn't help that event be successful. Or maybe it did. Maybe she is just happy with a lot of first dates where the other person buys and then, like me, doesn't ask again. Personally, I would recommend other venues for a first date. But, then again, if you're looking for something a little upscale, this might be fine. I'd compare it to the Cheesecake Factory, for example, but maybe with fewer dessert options.

I swear the woman could read our minds, anticipating our questions. Now to the food. We started with fried brussel sprouts. Huge portion. Flavorful, not overcooked, just the right amount of crispness...and those bacon pieces!? Yum. I had the chicken wings and a beet salad. I'm a Buffalo, NY native folks, and thus have had my share of great chicken wings. Johnny's wings were on par with anything I've had in the Queen City. My only suggestion to make it real Buffalo style is thick blue cheese dip. The other meals served were amazing - two pasta dishes and the fried chicken. All tasty. Everyone loved their dishes. The prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food brought to the table. I'm surprised at the 4.1 Yelper average. The meal and service we had tonight was excellent.

Both bartenders Rachael and Schuyler (like the town) were spot on. Johnny's has an almost chain restaurant feel lurking somewhere and the water dripping from the light fixture was distracting but we "mussel'd" thru it. They were excellent but the tapenade for the bread was kinda gross. Heavy on the evoo and what looked like tomato paste squeezed in for color. She settled on the chicken and I squarely had a hankering for a pork chop. Rachael explained the chef prepared it a little pink...perfect! And it came out bone dry. Ugh. So let's try that again. I get it. Chops can be tough to cook. So I had a bite of her boneless chicken. It was ok. Then round 2 with the pig. I think they literally waved it past the grill and threw it on the plate. The inside was as pink as the outside of miss piggy. I give up. I'm done. The did offer a free dessert...sticky toffee cake which was really good. And I also understand it's difficult to get qualified help. But it's a Saturday and whatever A team you've got should be working. And what about a good old fashioned instant read thermometer? Works for me all the time. Pull it at about 135 and let it rest for a few minutes. Oh well, maybe next time.
