Nice place for a family dinner. The atmosphere was comfortable, though it got a little busy during peak hiurs.

I was in the area dog sitting for a friend. I had a real craving for a calzone and remembered this place was not too far away. I got a pepperoni and ricotta calzone that was perfectly executed and hit the spot. I did get a Greek salad as well but I was not as thrilled with that - not sure why. I have enjoyed Oli's a long time - but something in the kitchen has happened and the quality of the food has suffered. I ordered Chicken Picata and it was pretty clear the "chunks" of chicken were cooked HOURS before and left in a warmer. Then reheated once the pasta is done. It was dry, dry as the desert. I won't be going back any time soon. Picata SHOULD not be "chunks of 1 inch by one inch dried out chicken. read more

We went here on a very busy Saturday night (night before Mother's Day) without reservations and was told there was about a half an hour wait-- we opted to take two seats at the bar where there was no waiting and we had no less than three bartenders attending to us-- service was exceptional. We opted to try their Oli's Combo Pizza (small) which was MORE than enough for two of us-- it's LOADED with Meatballs, Sausage, Pepperoni and Carmalized onions-- it was absolutely delicious. If you want something that isn't Worcester Greek Style Pizza and something closer to New York style thin crust this is a good pick. Great service, great food. read more

So this restaurant has been on my radar for quite a long time. We noticed it awhile ago as it was right next door to one of my favorite bakeries and I had bookmarked it on Yelp. So we're sitting in a bar (really!) and this couple came in and sat a few seats down from us and I overheard the man say he owns 2 restaurants. Being the foodies that we are my husband asked him which restaurants he owned, I was pretty excited when I heard he owned Oli's Eatery and another place that I also had bookmarked! We headed over to Oli's Eatery last week for dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated and spacious. We got a seat in front of a window and we ordered drinks, my husband got a beer (he was happy with the selections) and I decided to try a Georgia Peach. I absolutely loved the Georgia Peach and ended up having 2! We ordered our appetizer the Bruschetta which was excellent and for our meals my husband got the lasagna which he was happy with and I ordered the Fire and Ice. I loved the Fire and Ice, but if you don't love HOT dishes you might want to pass on this. Our server was Raychel and she was very informative with all our questions and took great care of us. Olis! How much I have missed you since I moved back to North Carolina!! I went to visit some friends yesterday and we decided to do take out. We called in a family meal of their tortellini Matthew, two entrees of their chicken fontina, a wedding soup, garden salad, and an order of their cheesy bread and bruchetta. The staff was so nice and told us it would be ready in about twenty minutes.. My cousin and I could barely wait the twenty minutes that they told us it would take. My mouth was literally watering as she called in the order. We went and picked up the food and it was calling my name as we drove the few minutes back to our friends house. We sat the food up and all of us dug in. You know the food is good when everyone is so quiet. And everyone was very quiet. All of us agreed that it was such a good idea to do take out from Olis and just chill! I really loved the tortellini Matthew as it was full of flavor, creaminess, but yet it was not too heavy. Also, the garden salad made a great balance as it had cucumbers, carrots, radishes, and tomatoes. Definitely not a boring garden salad. I also enjoyed the noodles and sauce with the chicken fortina! I had a couple of bites of my mom's wedding soup and wow! Authentic and so good! Only down side was that the brushetta and the cheesy bread were a little bit stiff. The microwave helped to wake them up a little bit, but they still needed some more softness. Overall I cannot wait to come back to the Worcester/Boylston area to check Olis out again. This review is based off of their Pizza. We used to LOVE Olis pizza. Used to be the best in the area. However the last few times we've ordered, it's been more disappointing each time. Last night was unfortunately the last straw for us. We ordered a margarita pizza, a sausage and roasted red pepper and a chicken, bacon & ranch. The margarita was 1/10, barely any basil on it, like maybe 1 leaf cut up into 7 pieces. It had canned stewed tomato's that tasted terrible and the cheese was like rubber. The sausage pepper was also not great. The peppers also tasted like they were from a can- absolutely not fresh roasted red peppers. There was too much sausage and really not a lot of flavor. The chicken bacon was the only decent pie we got. Even then it lacked flavor and had barely any bacon on it, just tiny little bits of bacon. We checked off all our pies to be well done, however they were all floppy and not crunchy crust. Really disappointing, will unfortunately look for a new pizza spot in the area. read more

I agree with Sandra E. The same trick was done to me when I ordered take out. I didn't notice the 20% gratuity tip already entered into the digital signatory screen when I came into pay for my TAKE-OUT order. I wonder if the Owner ever reads these reviews. When I called after getting home, and asked to speak to the manager, the woman told me she was the manager (Haley), but upon looking at the YELP page, I saw that the real Owner is is a guy named Jon. Haley told me if you don't click/press "No Tip", you are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. I mean this is TAKE-OUT, right? Haley offered to refund the tip, but I declined telling her I will not be returning to Oli's ever again. It was not the 1st time strange things happened with my bill. Make sure you say LUNCH and then the item (Penne with Meatball or Ravioli with 2 meatballs). if you don't tell the person on the phone you want the LUNCH menu not the DINNER menu item, they will charge you for the higher, dinner price. Prices have changed since January 2025, but if you order from their website online by phone, you only see the PREVIOUS menu prices. I was charged $20 for the Ravioli with 2 meatballs -not the $15 that appeared online. Watch out for this if you are ordering! Watch the screen for tips that are automatically included also. This is a bad practice and I agree with Sandra E. that it is set up to deceive the customer. When picking up your take out, you shouldn't have to study the screen to see if there are hidden charges! I will never go there again, ever. read more

Olis is a favorite Italian restaurant to go with friends. We were seated promptly with our reservation. The server was great very friendly and attentive even though the place was very busy on a weekend night. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer. The meatballs are just awesome and so it the tasty sauce. All our meals looked amazing. The pasta bolognaise was the most popular with our group. I tried the chicken piccata this time. It was good with tender chunks of chicken and a lot of mushrooms. We will continue to go here with our friend group. read more

Yesterday evening, mothers' day my son placed 3 dinner orders at your restaurant. We hadn't been there for almost 2 years. Our three meals were in one bag and we also had a small food container in the bag, when we opened it up at home there was 1 cold stale 2 inch dried up piece of garlic bread. What was that? We drove over 8 miles to pick up our order because we were very excited about having your food again and went home to find the old bread with our order. We did a take out order of Tortellini Matthew and penne carbonara. Each meal $22.00 each. The tortellini meal was fine. The Carbonara was awful possibly 1/2 piece of bacon cut up a total of 5 peas and a half a teaspoon of sauce. Ordered take out recently, when I was signing the screen I must not have noticed that a 20% gratuity was being added. I signed my name without clicking on anything. A couple weeks later, I received my credit card bill and noticed the charge on the statement was much higher than what the actual bill was. I went to the restaurant to discuss this discrepancy, and was told that a 20% gratuity was added to my bill. REALLY???? For take out!!! Apparently if you don't click/press "No Tip", you are automatically charged a 20% gratuity. I don't recall there being any obvious notice that stood out when the person checking me out swung the screen around for me to sign. In my opinion this is bad practice and is set up to deceive the customer. When picking up take out, you shouldn't have to study the screen to see if there are hidden charges! It was take out! My second trip to this establishment for a Sunday evening was fairly busy one large party by the window was sat fairly quickly as I was dining solo mind you where I live it's a 20 minute drive to dine in either direction I go. So places need to be top notch for me ordered a beverage Diet Coke with lime. My go too when the waitress returns I give her my order chicken Parmesan with angel hair for the pasta aske for meat sauce instead of the marinara figuring there would be sauce on the parm no bread was brought to me with my drink pfft. A travesty in an Italian restaurant. Right. ? Meal came. Look at the photo. Pasta was already mixed like a can of chef boy ar dee not how I like my pasta. Should be plated and sauce poured on top of it ?? Ok. My chicken parm was cold. 2 breaded breast decent size. But cold ugh. Sent it back fearing it would just get tossed in the microwave. I was returned a few minutes later. With a ton of sauce on it and ehh warm. Not hot. I prefer my meal specifically my chicken parmigiana HOT. As I was dining I heard the waitress say I'm so sorry 3 times to the table behind me. Not sure what the deal was but.... Yea. For $21 it should be top notch. It wasn't. Small restaurant, clean, with very friendly staff. Waitress was very efficient. We had mozzarella sticks, which were good but nothing different or special than anywhere else. My daughter had the chicken parm which she loved. It was two large pieces of chicken so she has more than two meals worth of food. Though she did get penne instead of linguine, thankfully not a big deal, she was just a little bummed. I had the caprese pizza and all I can say is wow! The flavors were perfectly balanced, oh so good! Only complaint was the middle was undercooked and soggy. We will be back. read more

This is one of my families, favorite restaurants. If I am doing takeout; Oli's Combo pizza with sausage, meatball, pepperoni, red bell peppers, and caramelized onions. For dining in, I really like all their pasta dishes like seafood saute: Sauteed shrimp, salmon tips, haddock, red bell peppers, spinach, shiitake mushrooms, white wine garlic butter sauce. I also usually order the Spinach Cranberry Salad and take half home. The honey ginger dressing is amazing on baby spinach, sun-dried cranberries, almonds, cucumbers, cranberry infused goat cheese, and grape tomatoes. The staff is terrific; friendly and very quick. And bonus! It's next-door to Gerardo's Italian bakery with an indoor sliding door from the restaurant. This bakery is so good I even ordered my wedding cake from them! read more

I was so disappointed my food, I will never go there again! I ordered Chicken Parmesan to go. I was surprised that I in less than five minutes the order was ready. But once at home, I found that nothing was fresh on this dinner. The chicken Parmesan was a reheated; no fresh chicken or Parmesan cheese. The linguine was soggy. The food was lukewarm and the sauce too. I appears that it was leftovers from lunch and I paid $22 dollars for a reheated plate! I am not recommending this place to anyone! Hadn't been since the pandemic. The wait staff is truly the best. Friendly, pleasant... feels like they really enjoy their jobs. Wish I could say more for the food. Over cooked salmon, over sauced bolognese which was soupy, with garlic bread that tasted like it was left over from lunch service. This place is not an Italian restaurant because there's no Italian who would serve the garbage they sold us. We had the take-out Thanksgiving Dinner , the turkey was slices of a processed turkey roll which I couldn't eat because of its rubbery texture. I came in to pick up take out. Got all the easy home to find that my penne and meatballs had about a 1/4 of a cup of sauce on the meatballs and nothing on the pasta. It was also explained to me that you only get parmigiana cheese if you ask for it and pay extra. Everyone knows that an Italian meal needs cheese and bread. But not at Oli's you have to pay extra for those items. I never seem such things in any other state I've lived in. Seems to me cheap greedy restaurants need to charge extra to stay in business in Massachusetts. But then again I'm not sure they know what good Italian food is in Massachusetts. read more
