Overall the ambiance was very nice and staff were very friendly, however the spinach appeared to be slightly wilted and bell pepper showed some signs of not being fresh. Diet lemonade was good. If I could put "0 stars" for this Salad Station location I would!! Firstly, while walking in I was pardoned by an extremely disrespectful manager by the name of Desmond. Yelling at his coworkers, very degrading and rude. I continued to make my salad and chose to ignore the quarrel that I had walked in on. Visited salad station yesterday and got 2 salads, one for dinner last night, and one for lunch the next day. Last night's salad was delicious, and so was today's for lunch honestly. BUT as I was chewing, something sharp poked me and I find this in my salad. A freaking staple.. The salad's top has been sealed since I made it yesterday in salad station. I'm not sure if the staple was in the lettuce pile or in one of the toppings I scooped onto the salad, but the thought is a bit scary lol...... Nothing like paying a lot of money to eat healthy. Salad station is where you won't get the bang for your buck. If you want something to hold you over until the next meal and something that is healthy for you. This is the place. If you're looking for go light on your pocketbook, this is not the place as they charge you by the weight. I like a good salad every now and then and you have plenty to choose from when coming here, however, the more you put in your bowl, the more it weighs and the more it will cost you. I was disappointed in the potatoes as they were cooked too long or had been sitting under a heat lamp too long. The soup was not appealing to look at and looked dried up and crusty. Then to top it off, the staff really look like they hate their job and it shows when you check out as if you were bothering them by having them do their job. Highly disappointed. read more

WORST Salad Station experience ever!!! Had a bad one years ago, but no issues since then. Until today! Where do I start! First- Rotten lettuce, bad start. Empty and barely there ingredients throughout the salad bar. Several employees present, none seem to care about the state of the bar. Nor did they care about the state of the floor- which literally stuck my shoes to it. It was clear something had been spilled over most of the rear of the store- no one seemed to be concerned about cleaning it up. They stuck a wet floor sign up and carried on. The - missing salad dressing. When I asked I could barely get an answer out of the two employees in the front of the store. While I could hear at least 2 more employees in the back having a long loud conversation about everything except the store. Which it was CLEAR needed someone's attention! Then there was a mess of Garlic chicken. Not sure what was done to it, but I passed. I ALWAYS buy a large portion for my family. Today however, it looked horrible. Very unappetizing. Honestly, if I hadn't already fixed a salad, I would have cut my losses and left. The employee who checked me out acted as if I was bothering her by doing so, and after checking me out proceeded to carry on her conversation with fellow employee. It was rude and unacceptable! The worst company in Hammond (if not Louisiana). They leave food all over the floor. Cookies/food is left out all day/used maybe over a month if not finished. Place is trashy. Short staffed. Only teenagers who are not properly trained. Found hair in my food ( by eating it.) Management is rude and doesn't want to help when needed. They don't answer the phone at all until you call multiple times. Fires employees for no reason and will not tell you whenever you are fired they will just ghost you. read more

I had the same experience as someone else in the reviews. I came here for the first time and was never greeted nor saw any of the staff upfront. I stood at the counter to ask questions regarding the process and no one came out to me. I heard a staff member in the back looking down either texting or playing a video on the phone and had to wrangle this person out to ask a question. At that point I was mildly annoyed. That being said, the salads seem to be inconsistent as far as freshness. Some days, all the ingredients looked changed out and fresh while other days, the lettuce look wilted and old. I eat here about 3-4 times a week, usually for dinner because I pass right by it after I leave the gym. There's a huge selection of items to add to your salad, and the soups are pretty good too. Plenty of dressing to choose from! I also recommend getting the strawberry lemonade. Delish! read more

I was very upset when I walked out if here. When I walked in the girl who works there didn't even look at us or greet us, I was like okay maybe she didnt see us... but once I was done and ready to check out she was nowhere to he found, she was at the back talking with one of her coworkers, she poked her head out, saw us and went back in. I was seriously about to just walk out and leave my salad. Then after she decided to come out she didnt say a word to us, she just stood there in front the register, let me remind you that this was my 1st time visiting salad station, I figured they weighed the salads because i saw the scale so I just placed it there. Im very enthused about this place! Ive been eating at the one in Hammond and one of the ones in Covington for probably a year or so. What amazing salad bars with everything that you can possibly imagine. I also get a baked potato when Im there. I dont eat as many salads as I once did but I totally rank this place in my top 6 or 7 lunch restaurants. My only complaint is that it always seems that Im freezing in the dining room, it often seems cold to me. Maybe its the open coolers for the salad bars. Thats definitely not enough to keep me from going though, I love this place. I hope they come to Baton Rouge soon. Totally a 5-star experience in my book. read more

Third time to visit and this time I got "loaded potato soup". I got home with a cup of greasy liquid with two small pieces of potato and that's it! I was ill and sent my daughter in for me and she said the Chicken Noodle looked like "dried worms", and she dug around for potatoes and found three tiny bites. She filled the container because she knew I would be disappointed if came out empty handed. I was disappointed in the quality and lack of "loaded" ingredients. This is one of my favorite places for lunch. Lots and lots of fresh salad bar ingredients and the shrimp is amazing. They also have wonderful soups and the best baked potatoes and toppings ever. Desserts look great but haven't tried those yet. Would highly recommend it. read more
