While visiting family in Jackson, MI we happened upon this family favorite. We had the pleasure of having Amelia N (with baby in tow- due in Aug) as our delightful server, God bless her! She was a delight. She asked if there were any allergies to address and that a manager would check in with us. I so appreciate that this is a focus. Amelia was so engaging and informative regarding the menu making suggestions. She really made our time at Olive Garden a fun time. Needless to say, the food is always amazing. Although this was your typical Olive Garden restaurant, I must admit that the waiter we had made this one of the best experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. I SHOULD have complained to our server, but I didn't want to bother him for $3, when the Bill came to over $60 (including tip). Serving size of the Ziti isn't worth the cost, compared to the spaghetti w/Meatballs. The Ziti was basically just that, Ziti with sauce and cheeses on it. BUT it did fill me up and it tasted great! came here to enjoy a nice "american-italian meal" the second we walked into the building we were met with rude staff. we decided to brush it off but the angry staff kept coming. When we wanted to order the waitress kept rolling her eyes. we ordered the stuffed ziti, which never seem to come and when we asked about it we were left waiting and when our entries came, once again asked about it and she walked right away. our food was overcooked and bland. had to add so much salt to it i might have to be hospitalized. jackson olive garden do better. the entire vibe of the place just felt mean, and food sucked. i am extremely disappointed with how much we paid vs, what we got. I had a desire for some Italian last night, so went to only place I could find here in Jackson, MI - Olive Garden. I haven't been to a OG in many years. It was surprisingly good and tasty. The soup was as good as I remember, yummy bread that kept coming and coming and I tried the new thick spaghetti and the Spicy 3-meat pasta sauce. That sauce came out better than advertised. The service by Sabrina sucked she seemed to be very annoyed she had to work . We were ordering and she was walking away from the table as if she had something better to do . Mind you there was only 1 other table she was working in her section and they were pretty much done . At this point we had ordered the unlimited salad and soup special . And we requested some butter for the bread sticks and she basically threw them on the table . When it came to time to put the cheeses on the soup and salad she asked if we wanted and she was the judge of how much we got . The other table in her section was finishing up and what we gathered watching her perform was she was nice at the end to get a better tip . We were appalled by her actions after the first bowl how she treated us that we thought ok let's give a second chance and when I asked why type of soups were available she got very annoyed and was walking away from the table once again . At that point I got up and complained to the manager about her rude behavior and walked out . I feel sorry for this manager of the staff she has that can't even provide her duties a simple job . First time coming here, wanted a place to check out while I was in the area. This restaurant was absolutely clean and I'm so glad I came here before the rush came in. This place is very inclusive first of all and has plenty of daily specials and special events to always keep this place going with the times. I got a few of their Mocktails and I'm so glad they had these featured. Besides that they have a great variety of beer, Cider and wine. Love Olive Garden. Got their mango strawberry margarita - delicious! For the appetizer, I had their spinach artichoke dip. It was really good, however, it doesn't come with enough chips. Finally, for the meal, I had their Cheese Ravioli, which was good, but I wasn't a fan of the melted cheese on top. For dessert, had their chocolate mousse cake - it was really good! Their breadsticks are amazing of course, but it took forever until we got them, when we usually get them right away. It wasn't too big of a deal though as we did end up getting them. read more

We had the best dining experience as a large party of 10 + 1 baby. Tia was our waitress, and she was absolutely AMAZING! She was friendly and hilarious with the most positive attitude and attentiveness we have ever encountered while dining out. Our salad, soup, breadsticks, drinks, etc. were consistently available and topped off for us. She even split our checks without any complaints. I ordered Mediterranean shrimp scampi and it was virtually inedible. I had to pick out all of the as asparagus because much of the hard root of the asparagus had been used. Every other mouthful was inedible without picking asparagus fibers out of my teeth. by the time I did this the dish was cold and my appetite. Pretty much gone. I was staying in town at a nearby hotel and decided to stop in. I'm glad I did because it was one of my best Olive Garden experiences yet. Soup, salad, and breadsticks are the go-to for me. Food was warm, fresh, and delicious with large portions. Service was fantastic - my waitress (Sabrina) was joyful, attentive, and caring to all tables in her area. Stopped on my way home from Fort Wayne. Like others have mentioned, the Olive Garden is the epitome of American Italian food, but it's good and reasonably priced! We just got take out in the afternoon, but it was still great when we reheated it in the evening. My husband enjoyed his spaghetti and meatballs. I thought the ziti with marinara was very good. I wish they had the option of baked cheese on top. My mom had the soup and salad with breadsticks special and enjoyed it. They have a lot of great pasta options (vegetarian, chicken, meat). OK, so Olive Garden is not REAL authentic Italian food, we all get it. But their food IS pretty darned good for a chain, even though it varies by location. I was meeting my daughter halfway to hand off something for my grandson & we decided to have a quick lunch together. The most amazing thing that earns this particular Olive Garden is REALLY on top of their game with COVID-19. The hostess meets you OUTSIDE so you never need to touch a door handle. They have single-use menus wrapped around a napkin which is wrapped around your cutlery and they hand all of that to you on the way to your table. Their social distancing was excellent with booths & tables taped off so nobody even had the chance to sit too close to each other. Both my daughter and I went with the "All You Can Eat Soup, Salad & garlic bread," which is our custom. I couldn't decided between the four soups, and our delightful waitress, Sabrina, said, "no problem, I'll bring you some of each." It was like having a flight of soup, and each one was fantastico! I preferred the minestrone which is what my daughter ordered, and Sabrina brought me a refill. She was attentive but not hovering throughout our meal. We had some salad left so she boxed that up for my daughter to take home and ALSO brought each of us a To-Go bowl of minestrone PLUS some extra rolls and chocolates. OUTSTANDING. The service here was...intense? Our waitress was so spunky we didn't really know how to handle it haha. She also really wanted us to have an interactive experience - I've heard that Olive Garden has made a lot of changes recently in it's marketing/customer service so maybe this was part of it. She asked us about every detail like if we wanted her to just bring us more soup or if we wanted her to ask us first and how much ice we wanted when she poured our water, exactly how much dressing we wanted on the salad and eventually it was kind of annoying. We really just wanted her to bring us food and water in whatever manner she felt was appropriate... Also I have never heard the phrases, "M'lady," and, "Can I cheese you up?" used so frequently in my life. She was super nice though and maybe this would be a good experience for people more decisive than ourselves. I always get soup, salad and breadsticks if I go to Olive Garden, and as always they were delicious. For a chain restaurant, Olive Garden continues to impress me. I usually don't like chains, but Olive Garden is always good food. This location in Jackson tends to have good food, good service, and clean restrooms. The staff is also friendly. I ate here this week for lunch and ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce. My pasta arrived with meat sauce, but the waiter quickly had this fixed. The dish was very good, and the salad with unlimited bread sticks topped off my meal. Unlimited salad refills surprised me. I've never seen that before at any restaurant in Canada. Perhaps, it's more common in the United States. My hubby & I went in on Friday about 7ish for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We were seated right away. We were greeted with a superb waitress named Krystal. She made sure to check on us and was very sweet. I wanted to try the braised beef tortellini in Marsala sauce "Wow" it was amazing. My hubby got chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Which was great. I got an Italian margarita afloat of amaretto. That was the bomb. Then we were treated with a chocolate caramel lasagna for dessert from our waitress.
