My family and I had the best service this evening at Olive Garden. Our waitress Breeyona was amazing. She was kind, nice and well rounded great customer service. You have to appreciate a smiling face and warm person. Breeyona made sure we had everything and more we asked for. Used to be my favorite Olive Garden to go to but with my last experience around two weeks ago that has since changed. I had ordered chicken alfredo and i was the last person to receive my food (there were four of us.)I had my 17 month old child with me which i intended on sharing with her, so as we were eating my sister noticed my chicken looked pink! I HAD BEEN EATING RAW CHICKEN AS WELL AS MY CHILD!!! i literally couldn't believe it. About five minutes after talking about it with my family, a manager comes over to the table and ask if our food is cooked well?! Felt off that she couldn't just say "how is everything?" I don't know, it just seemed like an odd thing to ask(imo.) Anywho she did end up taking my food back and it took like 15 minutes for me to get my food back out. The rest of my family were already finished and getting togo boxes.So eventually i got it back and checked to make it was done and i started eating on it some (still feeling very unwell from my previous plate) about 4 bites into eating, im not even joking a HAIR!!!! The food was as expected for Olive Garden and the servers was attentive and friendly. But, oh boy, could this place use a good scrubbing!!! The kiosk on our table was covered with hundreds of fingerprints on the screen and backside was covered in splatters and gunk. Our table was sticky to the touch. The windows near our table and walls had lots of finger prints and smears. And the doors to the entrance were also covered in hand prints and dust bunnies on floor. We have always loved Olive Garden's food and never had a bad experience with the service, HOWEVER, this was not the case on Saturday, July 26. When we arrived we were greeted cheerfully by the hostess and seated. There was a large party to the right of us, and several servers/waitresses were chatting with them and sang happy birthday which was cool. So, two tables over from us, a waitress asked the lady at the table what she wanted to drink, but then walked off. She came back to that table not once, not twice, but 3 times and never came to our table. No one did. My husband even tried to wave at her the last time and she wouldn't look our way. It was not very busy at all. I don't know if we were not in her assigned area, or what but it was obvious we were being ignored. We got up and left. No one tried to stop us, and as we left, my husband said to the hostess in the front, "no one ever waited on us" and she replied, "oh I'm so sorry" but didn't sound too concerned. Unacceptable. Yes, I know. What do you expect--it's the Olive Garden. While visiting Jackson to support the Miss Volunteer America Pageant, I stopped here. I had not eaten Olive Garden in over 5 years or since we received raw chicken with our meal, but I had always enjoyed their salads. At any rate, I ordered an unlimited soup and salad...nothing special. Twenty five mins later, my meal arrives and the soup is cold. I request hot soup and it is returned five mins later at the same temperature. By this time, I've watched multiple patrons receive their food. I was also entertained by watching another patron kill a big @$$ cockroach at their table. Eventually, I requested the manager. He arrived, listened and proceeded to get my hot soup. The manager was very friendly, but he didn't apologize, offer to reduce the check or provide anything to make me want to return. our party had a reservation for 17 people and the restaurant was contacted three different times to make sure that the restaurant would be prepared for our arrival. we waited 20 minutes for them to prepare our table, and then waited almost 2 hours, and our food was never brought out. The only thing that we did receive were the breadsticks and salad. We had a very good waitress and she was so upset that it was not prepared in a timely manner and apologized several times. The manager came to our table clearly in a bad mood. One of our party told her how upset we were and that we were leaving. Service was great! Our waitress was awesome!! Food was undesirable, I ordered the seafood alfredo. The seafood was cooked properly the pasta was over cooked by 60 seconds. Olive garden used to make their own pasta, I could tell it was not dried pasta but definitely not fresh fresh pasta that you could watch being made. The pasta had a slight mush and broke if you swirled. Appetizer we ordered calamari, it used to hand breaded and lightly fried. This was pre-breaded and tough to eat. If it tells you anything my husband froze it to use it for catching catfish when we go fishing..... Husbands pasta was over cooked he order the shrimp chicken carbonara. Salad was over dressed. Bathrooms are so stinky that when waiting for a table on the couches up front, I could smell the "Womens" bathroom every time a lady opened the door. The guys bathroom always smells of old urine, but the ladies? Service here is hit or miss, and it's a little dirty. Just a neglected restaurant. I still go eat there, and most of the time get bad service, because the servers are over seated. The food is good though. Excellent Olive Garden. I came here with my friend for a Tuesday dinner, and we had a good experience. We both got the all you can eat soup salad and breadsticks, and we really got our money's worth. The waitress was really good and brought us plentiful refills on all of our food. After demolishing tons of salad, we happily left this establishment. Terrible experience-High Price for Bad Service My husband has been coming to the Jackson, TN location for decades & I for about 10 years. My husband last night said it was the worst experience he has ever had at a restaurant, and I agree. We have decided that was our last time ever eating at the Jackson, TN Olive Garden. We drove an hour to eat there. For starters, we clearly said we wanted to not eat in the bar, but in the dining room, since we were celebrating my last weekend before returning to teach. She sat us IN THE BAR. We didn't complain, since we usually sit in the bar. It took a long time for a server to acknowledge us and she seemed very preoccupied & we seemed like an inconvenience. We ordered a glass of wine each. About 15 minutes later she sat 2 carafes of wine down & rushed off. We sat there for about another 5 minutes with no wine glasses to drink our wine until she came rushing out of the kitchen to bar. Instead, she passes us by to take the order of the table behind us. As she passes again, my husband motions to ask her about glasses, and without even looking at him, rushes past like she can't be bothered and yells, "I'll be back!" She did return, but to bring wine to the table behind us, which took a long time. She finally brought our glasses, which should have been on the table before they brought carafes. She took our order. We waited FOREVER on salads & bread. Finally, bread came out with hardly any Alfredo dipping sauce we ordered. We knew we were going to need more. Another excruciatingly long time passes & another girl came to say she would be taking over our table since our server's shift ended (at 7:30). She asked for our order. We told her we'd already placed our orders. She should have known. We never did get our salads until our meals came out, and they were not brought out by our "new" server, but a 3rd young girl. Our salad came with our meals unfortunately. We asked for more Alfredo sauce, but by the end of the night, it never came, even though our first server told us we would get endless refills. We couldn't remind our server we'd asked for more sauce because our waiter was NEVER around or way too busy serving others then running immed back to kitchen & disappearing. By then, it was too late to order more sauce. When I finally requested a to-go box, no lie, it took 20 minutes for her to bring it, & that was only after I started to wave my arm at her. We saw at least 8 workers standing not far from the bar that she could have asked to bring us one, but instead, we sat waiting. She brought one too small for my food, then disappeared again for a long time. I finally asked for a bigger one which made her seemingly annoyed. You'd think she would, but she did not ask if we wanted our bill. We were done with the long waits just to ask for something. I finally waived my cash at her from a distance. For mediocre food, TERRIBLE service with literally no server etiquette & customer service, $85 is way too much for a meal & experience like that. The servers literally seemed like they had no training at all on etiquette, and customers seemed annoying to them. We were not asked if we needed anything the entire meal & when we did need something it was impossible to find anyone to ask. We can spend $85 somewhere else & have great food and service. Olive Garden has gone way down hill in our opinion. There seemed to be no manager at all making sure customers were satisfied or that things went well. When servers are not trained well or taught serving etiquette, you lose business and they risk losing a job due to fewer customers. Olive Garden needs to invest in their training instead of fancy expensive commercials that portray it as a family fine dining, because with that kind of service, it is not. In the end, we paid a lot of money for a bad experience and a meal that shouldn't have taken over 2 1/2 hours. And that's how I ended my summer.....followed by an hour drive home. read more

I like Olive Garden but I'm going to stop going because they keep raising the prices to ridiculous amounts to try and take advantage of people. It's not fine dining after all. It's ok food but there is no reason to keep raising the prices except to take advantage of people. I can make better pasta at home for very much less. They are like all the other places too. When you check out they try and force you to leave a 20% tip. I think all waiters have gotten a raise already with your ridiculous prices at 15%. Since when were we supposed to raise tips to 20% or more? I did leave 18% for my waitress though because she was good but it's my choice. I'm not going back. read more

The food and service at Olive Garden, Vann Dr, Jackson was the best experience I can remember at an Olive Garden. As the two of us drove through Jackson on I-40 we decided to stop for a relaxing inside dining room lunch. With social distancing being practiced, we chose to sit at the bar for our lunch rather than wait for 20-30 minutes for a dining room table or booth. Elizabeth, the bar tender, was our server. Even though we only ordered our favorite lunch of unlimited soup, salad and bread sticks, Elizabeth provided excellent service. She was very in tune to our food needs--another bowl of salad or soup, breadsticks or water. During this crazy 2020 Pandemic it can't be easy to provide the extra safety precautions expected while still providing great service and excellent food. It has been a number of years since we had been to this Olive Garden to eat, and our visit today quickly reminded us just why we had said that we would not dine here again. The only reason that we went today is that we had been given a gift card for the restaurant. The combination of barely so-so food, unclean floors, and lack of desirable ambience did it for us - and we will not return, even with a gift card!! First of all, we stood at the hostess station for 5-10 minutes before the hostess appeared - although there were employees walking all around us. As we were seated, we noticed that the floor appeared not to have been vacuumed in several days - general filth and large paper scraps all through the place. The food barely was palatable, with the overwhelming taste sensation being salty!! Finally, the prices were high - especially for what was being served. One bright spot was that our server was friendly and appeared to be doing his best to provide good service, but it seemed that he had to serve too many tables at the same time. On arrival didn't receive good service. I had a birds eye view of the nepotism. The host attempted to get my full order when I sat down to take my time, I mean if I was in a rush I would have ordered to go. My drinks barely got refilled and I didn't receive napkins or silverware till I stopped a server because the spoon that comes with the meal isn't sufficient when cutting chicken cabanara. However the tables with maybe four or more people at them received top notch service. I watched the drinks being refilled before they ran dry. The servers avoided eye contact as they walked by me to go past me to the kitchen with hopes I didn't stop them to ask for something. As my ice melts in my glass and food got cold after writing this review i figured I'd suffer the embarrassment of asking a random person working for my check and togo. Saddest thing is that I have to tip well still just to avoid the stereotype and show people with small minds that you are wrong by judging people by there appearance or skin color. I honesty couldn't tell you who my server was.. maybe it was the host. She's extremely unprofessional! I worked for Darden with longhorn and the tactics used were more for bad customers or customers your trying to rush. Still left her a good tip in hopes she changes her ways or career. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could!! I have a dad who has severe allergies (no meat, no on 90% of seasonings, ect.). Him and my mother surprised my husband and I by coming into town on Father's Day weekend and we didn't have time to cook so he wanted breadsticks from Olive Garden (it's a struggle y'all ) so I placed the order. Not only was this place on a two hour wait but they were also slammed on to go orders. The manager Aaron (I hope I spelled that correctly) was working his tail off helping every single server who came to him and helping the amazingly kind and funny Ana P. fulfill to go orders. This restaurant is so lucky to have such hard working and kind employees who never wavered in tone or patience even though I'm sure they were overwhelmed and exhausted. We were quickly seated at 4pm. The classic specials are a great buy from 3-5 p.m. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. I had the all you can eat soup and salad. Both were delicious and very fresh. Of course their salad is legendary and again it didn't disappoint. My wife had the chicken parmigiana which she said was delicious.
