Wow it has been a day. You know how when you are worrying yourself to death about something? And you can't eat or sleep? And then the good news comes!!! And you sigh a big sigh of relief? That was my day. And I wanted to celebrate one year of being Cancer free. And I wanted comfort food. Something that would fill my hunger and my pangs of relief and solace. Now the old hippy and I love soup and salad. And unfortunately not a lot of places have that going for it. So we decided on Olive Garden for lunch, and we would get something heavier for dinner to go. Now there was a minimal wait as the lunch crowd was leaving but no worries the hostess was pleasant and professional. And true to her word it was only a couple of moments. She showed us to a nice roomie booth. Well that is when the magic started! Our server Chaz was everything you could possibly want in a server, he was knowledgeable and honest when asked about the selections. I had decided to live outside my box and try all new everything. The soup he recommended was on target, just enough spice and heat to make it a tantalizing experience. The salad as always was fresh and crisp. With the right amount of everything for two, and who doesn't live the breadsticks. So with our order placed and the information we would be ordering a meal to go after we had lunch. He smiled and went to retrieve our drinks and salad. Chaz was on point!!! When I say it was no more the. A couple of minutes he was back with an equally charming gentleman (Supervisor? Manager?) who helped him carry over our items. I thanked Schuyler and he smiled the kindest of expressions and said "I am sorry do I know you?" I replied no, and with a look of bewilderment. He asked how I knew his name. I had to tease him at this point I said "Education. I read your name tag,". The smile and laugh he gave me was priceless. This young professional Manager Supervisor? Was an added delight. Was refreshing to see a supervisor stepping up and stepping out to help his team. When you see a person in a supervisory position actually helping his team accomplish the mission and not standing back looking superior and authorities. You know that they are great at their job. But back to Chaz, as we finished our salads the soup he had recommended came out piping hot and delectable, and we were again rewarded with his kind authentic smile as he asked if we cared for anything else. This young man. Has it down, every time he walked by he checked on us, he was on point and met every one of our needs. We got dessert and coffee gave our order for the to go portion, and he never once gave us the attitude so many servers give these days. You know what I mean? The eye rolling OMG a what else could you want Now! I can not say enough good things about the level of service we received, OLIVE GARDEN.com are you listening? It wasn't the food or the ambiance that made our meal super wonderful today. Yes it was good . It was these two Professionals you have working for you. If you look at my other reviews. Okay...my expectations were high based on the Calabrian Chili Pepper menu, so I thought I'd try. It was decent to say the most!!! My bartender (I was alone and I sit at a bar, so not to be too lonely) Arianna! She was approachable and kind whilst made the drinks appropriately. Don't go here for a strong NOLA pour. They DEFINITELY don't recognize that like almost all NOLA restaurants local or franchised. Meatballs are good BUT don't get the marina amount they serve. It's miniscule! My bartender was able to secure a small cup of Calabrian Chili marinara as is VERY diff from the original. Cold day and in need of something hot. Olive garden's never ending soup, salad, and breadsticks crossed my mind. I haven't been to OG in a few years but I was happy I thought of the OG (see what I did there ? No? Okay!). Because honestly, I could never really go wrong with this lunch special. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast and I devoured it all by myself. My server was sweet and pleasant. My favorite soup is the chicken and gnocchi. I also tried the Zuppa Toscana. 12-8-23 This visit was a bit less than enjoyable. It wasn't really busy. We brought our grandkids to have dinner before going to see the Christmas lights. Other than their food, I ordered the 8 oz sirloin. I forget how small they have become. I ordered it med rare, as per my norm. It came out very very rare, I returned it to have it recorded, it came back very very well done. Our server was friendly enough, but it seemed everything took longer. They didn't have breadsticks ready, we got them after the entrees came out. I ordered a Sam Adam's, that didn't come out til our food came out. Of course we'll be back, its the only Olive garden in our area. Just a little disappointed in this particular visit. Its normally always a good experience. read more

The restaurant closes for 11, we went for 8:30. We were in and out of the restaurant before we knew it and not by choice or in a good way. Our waiter Tyler must have been told that after us, he could get off. He rushed us through the entire dinner. He returned every 5 minutes asking if we knew what we wanted. I haven't been here in 5 years and my husband has never been so we wanted and requested time to look over the menu, this was ignored. Minutes after the food hit the table, he asked if we wanted the bill in the middle of our conversation. He kept assuming he would be getting a tip by telling us how to leave a tip over and over. We decided to just pay and leave because we could not finish a conversation without him coming over to ask if we had gotten a chance to pay. As soon as we paid, he began cleaning our table without asking. He reached right in the middle of us as we are talking as if we weren't even sitting there. The bread, salad and pasta were decent. I love this place when I dine but I ordered to-go and the food was not as good- the bread sticks were hard and the person who answers the phone said I was allowed only 2 and if I wanted more the charge was extra . When I dine in we can get as many as we want & we also get fresh one to go with our leftovers . I won't place a phone order again. Stopped here while in the area. The wait time wasn't too bad, about 15 minutes tops. The food was a different story. The chicken was undercooked. The dish overall was bland. So the food is terrible, it quite literally tasted like it was cooked two days ago (grilled chicken alfredo), microwaved 2x, and then served to me. I couldn't even get to a quarter of the plate. In terms of the service, the waitress was fine, the hostess seems to be very racist and prejudiced, addressing my White friend who isn't even paying attention to her while I'm the only one actually answering her questions. White brunette lady with some bangs, for reference. Also very condescending. As for the ambiance, everyone is always staring at you like they've got a problem. We were in the area and I wasn't in the mood to cook. I ordered dinner on Olive Garden's website which was very easy. I chose to have the food handed curbside once ready. The estimated time was about 20-25 minutes which wasn't a bad wait time. We checked in and a staff member came right out with our food. They confirmed the order, made sure we didn't require anything else and we pulled off. Our food was freshly made and still very hot. They upgraded the containers because these were spill proof( the soup container fell out the bag and it didn't leak out). I don't understand how we find a fingernail in our soup and the manger proceeds to fight with us. Tell us that he'll just take the one soup off when we're all eating the same soup out of the same bowl so the fingernail was sitting in it and my sister ate it but he got mad at us for telling him how unsanitary that is and your still feeding it to customers if I could they would get a zero I'll never be back again!!!!!!! read more

Went for dinner last night (3/24/24). This was the second time we have been in a month and also the last. The food is mediocre, which is what you expect from Olive Garden. The service at this Kenner location is horrible. The waitress overcharged us, after waiting 10 minutes for her to fix the bill, which she never did, I just paid the bill and left her $0 tip. We had asked for boxes to take food home, after 10 minutes, I had to get up and get it myself. 2 different parties sat next to us. The waitress was so bad (failed to even greet them) they both walked out which is what we should have done. After 2 bad experiences in 1 month, we have decided we will never go back to the Kenner Olive Garden. If you go, expect terrible service, no drink refills, and to wait forever for a wrong bill to be fixed. read more

Went in around 7 pm on a Sunday. Only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. The food was pretty standard for an Olive Garden. I always feel like the breadsticks are a bit salty. Service was a little slow but totally understandable because of the pandemic. Employees did a really good job at sanitizing between customers and the restaurant was spacious enough to allow for physical distancing! I always forget how filling a meal there is. Very nice inside and the food was just as good as we expected. It was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait long to eat.

Update: My family came here for my birthday dinner and the service and food was a step up from my previous review. There were 9 of us trying several different pasta dishes, and all were delicious. The kids had chicken alfredo pasta with apple juice and grapes. I had the new mushroom ravioli and it was definitely worth getting! The salad was fresh and the breadsticks were soft and kept coming. Up until now I hadn't tried the chicken alfredo but I was pleasantly surprised on their take. While the sauce and noodles were pretty standard, the chicken was really flavorful /well seasoned and juicy which really brought the dish together in my opinion. If I could give our server Heather 50 stars, I would! We came in on a busy Sunday with a party of 4, one of us was an elderly lady who suffers from dementia. Heather handled us with kindness, patience, tolerance and a beautiful sense of humor! Our special guest had a few moments... Which were all handled by HEATHER with astounding care and understanding! The food was consistent on the Olive Garden scale of expectations... Pretty darn good. Yummy fonduta, great soup salad and breadstix. I have eaten here for nearly 3 decades and the food is always exactly as expected. I can count on it being good. That being said, in all of my experiences with this restaurant, this is the only time I felt quite moved to write a review due to the completely beyond stellar service from our server Heather! Wow! It's Olive Garden. Then food is pretty much the same at all that you visit. This one though is not the best as far as service and consistency goes. The food always tastes the same but the portions and amount of sauce they put on stuff is very inconsistent. I ordered a pasta for me and a pasta off the kids menu. They were both huge portions which made me wonder why I paid the money for the regular dish instead of just getting two off the kids menu. The servers tend to be very slow. I think they maybe give the servers too many tables to work. It's not horrible and I do still go here, but it's could use a little work. read more

We had dinner here a few nights ago. The service was okay and food was great! My issue here was that our server apologized for her persistent coughing at our table and let us know that she currently had COVID but her rent was past due so she was not able to call off of work yesterday because she had to make as much money as she could to pay her rent. This morning I started experiencing COVID symptoms so I tested myself and I tested positive for COVID. I have health problems so this is very serious for me. Why didn't management make her go home?
