On our visit, we tried the dinner & dolce menu and started with the Caesar salad and creamy Parmesan salad. We also had the tuscan grilled chicken and seven (7) oz sirloin steak and finished with a huge tiramisu that we shared. The food has been very good, the service quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Melanie, Sara, Bonnie, Julie & Mo their service has always been outstanding. Blake, the proprietor is great too, always around and checking in on tables to make sure things are going well. Having the proprietor there gives their service a personal touch you don't always get in restaurants today. I recommend Carrabba's for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their "wine dinners" are also a big hit for us, it's great to try new wines and dishes that aren't always on the menu. We have a group of 20+ that attends all the wine dinners together. This visit could have been so different... Out running errands and realized it was almost 4 pm and I had not yet eaten lunch. I thought I could just run in and grab a salad or something and be out quickly. I grabbed a seat at the bar, there were 2 couples and one single guy and me. I arrived a little before 4 pm. The bartender was talking to the guest beside me (a friend maybe) and could not have cared less if I was greeted - speaking of that the hostess barely acknowledged me and just stood there the entire time staring blankly ahead. The bar is crashing and maybe she could grab waters or something? Nope. Back to the bartender - no eye contact, just kept making plans with the seated guy next to me. I started to leave but heard the bartender say someone else was coming on any minute. Bartender One left, no one at the bar for at least 10 minutes. The couple next to me kept looking around and looking at me like ????? Finally, the 4 pm bartender arrives a little late, starts setting up her stuff and the people on the end called for her. She starts getting their drinks - then lo and behold the early bartender shows up and hands me a basket of bread, no water, no silverware, no plate... then she pulls out a disgusting plastic container of something that looks like mush - oh! it's the her seasoning that goes into the olive oil. She drops a plate with this stuff on the plate and very little oil. In the middle of all of this the early bartender comes back again behind the bar with the manager is counting her cash drawer. WHY? Isn't a bar a place to relax, grab a bite and a drink? nope, today it's a bank. Finally got a second to place my order. There might be only 10 customers in the restaurant but you can hear chefs yelling out loud like it's a busy Friday night. Around 4:25 I got my drink, then my calamari app. I didn't know what the green sauce was so I asked the bartender who didn't know either but was nice enough to look it up. I received my 2nd app which was arancini - took one bite, it was okay but just decided to get everything to go. Happy Hour is supposed to be relaxing and fun - THIS ^^^^^^ was miserable and just made you never want to go in there again. Such a shame, the drink was decent, calamari pretty good and okay arancini but the workout of having to figure out how to order. Oh, and the second bartender? Immediately started chatting up a person who came to the bar (maybe a former employee). and asking if she could help get her mom a job? Had to wait forever to ask for something - the manager needs to wake up and be out on the floor - and not counting a bank while people are trying enjoy a sip and a bite. read more

Pistachio Grilled Trout was amazing. Perfectly cooked, beautiful piece of fish. Crabcakes were delicious, and the sauce they come with was divine for dipping the bread in. I've waited soooooo many years to visit this place. I just knew I'd love the food because I enjoy Italian cuisines (albeit I don't eat much of the pastas...I know, I know; what's Italian food without pasta lol, I'm watching my carb intake). However, Carrabba's left my husband and I underwhelmed with this first time experience. We ordered the Carrabba's Italian Classics Trio and a meatball sandwich for take out. There was a salad, side and soup that accompanied the trio, so he got chicken soup with garlic mashed potatoes. Upon arriving home to feast, we realized that we were missing the fettuccine that comes with the trio. I called the restaurant, they apologized and refunded us the entire dish. That was very nice! In terms of taste, my husband said his food tasted bland. For my meatball sandwich, the meatballs were exceptional but I didn't eat the bread as it was not proportional to the size of the meatballs...there was just too much bread. Overall, I don't think we will return. First impressions are everything to me and I don't want to indulge a second try unless someone twists my arm. Carrabba's has been sitting there on Veterans for quite a while now and I've had this "should I or shouldn't I" thing going on. Well, thanks to a BOGO coupon that arrived in my mailbox this week, I did, and here's the tale. My mom was my get-one-free and we met there at 11:15 for lunch. When we arrived we were literally the only customers. Just as I began to wonder if they were even open, a friendly hostess opened the door and welcomed us in. We were seated at a booth and our waitress came by about 2 minutes later with menus, and took our drink orders. There is a lunch section on the menu but it's very limited - so few choices. For 9.99 you can choose a soup, salad and very small entree. The entrees are definitely more like appetizers so consider yourself forewarned. I went with minestrone, Cesar salad and meatballs with ricotta. My thoughts: The minestrone was fine. The Cesar was ok, but was overdressed and the dressing was too salty. The meatballs were bland. Really, really bland. My mom was very happy with her meal. She had the stuffed mushrooms and loved them. The dining room and restrooms were clean, the service was good, although our water glasses were never refilled and I had to give my mom the rest of my water because she had to take a pill after eating. Oh, and the waitress corrected my pronunciation of ricotta twice. Tonight my Family and I had Dinner tonight. Our waitress was Sherry, and she was very long winded in her Sales pitch as far as selling extra food. We ordered our entrees, which were very good. After we ate our entrees, we ordered Desserts. Our Son and Daughter in law's Dessert came and they ate, but then we waited and waited for our Connoli Cake. Once we paid our Bill with Sherry, she pretty much left us on our own waiting for the Cake to arrive. I finally spoke up to her about our Cake, then she Finally got our cake and we were very annoyed and asked for a to go box to just take it home. We had good intentions of having a nice evening, but it ended up all taking much longer than we anticipated! Also she never asked if anyone did or didn't drink alcohol before bringing my wife and I a glass of champagne. My Wife doesn't drink alcohol. Carrabba's surpasses me expectations. I really liked their Lobster Ravioli it was rich, robust, buttery. Had a really nice lobster flavor and the pasta was very tasty too. Their Shrimp Scampi was excellent too. The shrimp were very fresh and he buttery sauce was addictive. Recently returned to Carraba's after a Yelp Elite Event to use our $25 promotion card before it expired. We went on a Sunday night. While we were seated immediately, we waited almost 15 minutes before we were approached by a server. Our section of the dining room had a large party seated and unsure if that night they were understaffed or someone was confused about the sections that night. Happy hour prices only lasted until 6:30 so being seated at 6:20 and anxiously awaiting someone to take notice of us was a little irritating. Finally Juan came up to our table to ask if we needed help. He said he was the manager and that he would wait on us. Glad to be in his hands, we ordered a bottomless sangria and a glass of wine. We ordered main entrees only as they included a choice of soup or salad. Food was delivered hot, in a timely fashion but overall lacked in seasoning, depth of flavor and portion size compared to the price. Additionally there was some beef between the two hostesses working that night. One clearly had a problem with the other and her bad attitude and facial expressions were not lost on me, who took notice. The thing about being former service industry is that no matter what you think people don't see or don't pay attention to--there are those that do see you. You're not invisible and your bad attitude is on display. (Especially as a hostess! The FIRST and LAST impression you give to a diner.) Sorry Juan-you were definitely 5 stars amid the circumstances. Just as some wines get better with age, Carrabba's gets better with time. I used to visit this location a lot bout 4-5 years ago and while the food was O.K., the menu options, cocktails and service have gotten increasingly better over the years. At this point, everything is great. I visited for happy hour + dinner last week and I was extremely impressed. I decided to start off with an app that I used to get a while back, the shrimp scampi, and it definitely surpassed my expectations of when I got it a few years ago. The sauce is a bit thicker, shrimp is larger in size and the toasted bread for dipping tastes fresher. I'm also a newfound fan of their cocktails, specifically the happy hour ones. I grabbed a Pomegranate Martini and Prickly Pear Margarita which were both deliciously colorful sips. I also enjoyed my main entree, the Lobster Ravioli, which I would definitely recommend. They even bring out cheese to shred on top. (Pro tip: Never say "when". LOL. What stole the show in my opinion was this seasonal dessert they have, a Pumpkin Bread Pudding, which is to die for. It is served warm (pretty much hot) with a pumpkin sauce drizzle and cold vanilla ice cream. Talk about a great dessert for the months of October and November! I want one every week now! read more

I really enjoyed this place! We got two pasta dishes for take out. I can't remember the name for the life of me but will do my best to describe! There was a white chicken pasta dish with peas and a cream sauce. It was so tasty. Chicken was real, not processed. There was also a chicken pasta dish with a tomato sauce. It also had a little kick to it which was nice! Usually I find tomato sauce boring but this one was great. They also gave us a bag of bread to take and it was so fresh and yummy! Lastly, a simple salad, however they had a homemade Parmesan dressing that was to die for! I could have ate that alone. Really great food! Went there for Sunday afternoon birthday dinner for my daughter. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. The food was not as good as I had at other locations in other cities. I always order the Pllo Rosa Maria. This time, the chicken breast looked like two stuff nuggets. The taste was there. However, these were the smallest breasts I have ever seen.
