I went here for lunch while visiting New Orleans for business. It was perfect for me to boot up my laptop and do some emails while I waited for my lunch, but it came really quick and the service was awesome. The brisket is very delicious and good quality here. Didn't taste like there was MSG in the broth normally I react to it.

Pho Sunrise should be renamed Pho Surprise because yes they have all the regular Vietnamese items you would expect but when "Pho Season" comes and you are cold and hungry you find yourself here to get Surprised with a brisket or combination pho to satisfy your hunger and warm your soul. FYI the amazing Hot and Spicy Noodle Soup will give you hot tears of joy, but also jump start your mojo when you need a pick me up!

The food here is always soooo good. The service is quick and you get your food quick. There are two TVs in the dining room and plenty of tables and seating.

We moved a little closer to Kenner and were craving vietnamese food. Then we saw Pho Sunrise and decided to try a bite. When we walked in, the atmosphere is very dull and had no music playing. They did have a basketball game on as background noise. We started off lunch woth cha gio dac biet. They ertr crispy and good, but very tiny. almost miniature eggrolls but were fried springrolls. my Fiancée ordered com thit nuong while I had bun bo hue. her dish was bland and dry with pieces not thoroughly cut. my Bun bo hue was a little spicy but needed much more flavor. definitely would not recommend if you're looking for an authentic vietnamese cuisine.

Pho Surprise is one of our regular lunch spots in this part of town. This is a simple Vietnamese Restaurant in a small strip mall, but they are always open for lunch, it's easy to get a table, place an order and minutes later enjoy our meal. On our last visit we started with an order of Spring Rolls with Tofu. We also shared a Rice Plate with Grilled Shrimp along with the Rice Plate with Stir Fried Beef and Assorted Veggies. And if it's cold and rainy we usually enjoy two bowls of their wonderful Pho.

This place is definitely lack customer service. We called in advance to make sure they are open and allow them time to set up table for 7 people. We walked in. This place is dead. It was very dark inside. Places like this worries me because what are you hiding with this poor lighting. I ordered an avocado smoothie with pearls. Of course they are out of avocado. After a few other tries and kept being disappointed. I asked for water. The waiter asked, is bottle water ok? I said, no, tap water is fine. Waiter said, we don't serve tap water. Now I'm curious....what's wrong with your tap water? Are you using the tap water to cook that you can't serve, what's going on?!?!? Waiter got really ugly and I told him that he realizes that we are about to drop some money and you are out of everything we asked. How do you stay open if you don't have anything customers asking on your menu and not even tap water. I'm done ranting but definitely take your money somewhere else. Felt very horrible with how we were being treated.

Bun rieu in the front and bun bo hue in the back. Just ok. Nothing memorable.

My boyfriend and I came here after reading all the raving reviews about their bun bo hue on yelp and to be honest, we were disappointed. Bun bo hue wasn't spicy at all, not enough flavor. It was just ok. Bun rieu was not bad but nothing special. To sum it all up, this place was just average. There are many better Vietnamese options around the area.

Love this little gem. We sort of asked for a customized Pho, which consisted of chicken broth with veggies (broccoli, carrots, celery, and mushroom). The broth was very light but full of flavor. It wasn't bland at all (as I always fear with some light soups). The veggies were fresh and crisp, including the lime, cilantro, bean sprouts, and jalapeño that come on the side. The shrimp fried rice was also delicious. It's not an official menu item, but the employees do their best to customize your experience. I do not think that shrimp fried rice needs a great explanation, but just know that the rice was fresh, seasoned well, and cooked properly. I did not like the shrimp spring rolls, but I think that's more of a personal taste than objective taste. Finally, the bubble tea is a smoothie dream. I'm iffy about the tapioca, only because they tasted like odd gummy bears, but the actual drink is delicious. I had the mango flavor. Try! The employees were incredibly nice and accommodating.

Three bowels of pho and all different types spicy and combo and steak all were very good for the price

I ordered the shrimp pho and was pleasantly surprised. The broth was light but still packed with flavor. It didn't feel heavy, but it still hit the spot. They were generous with the shrimp. They were a good size and there were plenty of them. I left full and satisfied. The space itself is cute and tucked into a tiny strip mall, nothing over the top but still a nice vibe for a casual meal. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The only downside was that they were out of quite a few items. The staff mentioned it was because we came on the later side of the early evening (around 4 pm), which felt a little early to be running low, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, a solid find and I'll return the next time I'm in town.

OMG, how did this place not already have their own business listing on Yelp? For shame! Though I am…read morehappy to get a chance to be the first to review Vintage Garden Kitchen on Yelp, because this is an absolute *gem* of a business, and everyone in the world needs to know about it. Yesterday afternoon, I saw a tweet reminding people to place orders before 4pm, because today (Wednesday) is the day they deliver - yes, that's right, deliver! - their jars of amazingly delicious, healthy, vegetarian-friendly, locally sourced, and [insert list of superlatives and synonyms for the word awesome] soup. Straight from their garden, via the kitchen, to your door. Thanks to the reminder on Twitter, I placed my order online yesterday afternoon for four pints of soup: Fiery Shiitake Mushroom and Barley; Moroccan Chickpea Stew; Rustic Vegetable Bean; and Vegan Lentils and Greens. Each pint comes in a re-usable mason jar, and when you collect six of those, you get a free pint of soup with your next order! Brilliant: it's savvy (saves the business money), and green, and convenient. There's so much win here that I'm having a hard time putting it into words. Long story sort: The Vintage Garden Kitchen is an Arc Enterprises Company, meaning that not only do they provide amazing food (AND DELIVER IT TO YOUR DOOR!), but also, in doing so they provide employment for adults with developmental disabilities. (They're one of the businesses run by the nonprofit Arc of Greater New Orleans.) I've seen the garden where they grow all the food that is used to make these amazing soups, and it blows my mind that food this fresh, this nutritious, and this beautifully convenient is available in New Orleans. But wait, it gets better: their food is shockingly affordable. A half pint of, say, Moroccan Chickpea Stew feeds 2 people, and costs $4.99. The minimum order for delivery is $15, so for four pints I paid about $22.00, and it was delivered the very next day. How. Awesome. Is. That. Seriously. They deliver every Wednesday between 10am and 2pm, and orders must be placed before 4pm on Tuesday to ensure delivery. They deliver to 70001, 70005, 70115, 70118, 70119 (yay!), 70124, and 70125. Again, the minimum order for delivery is $15 (so, approximately three pints, or two quarts, blah blah math and stuff). They take credit cards, it's easy to place an order online, and you can also order in two other ways. Either pre-order for pick-up (and you can come get your soups between 8am and 4pm M-F), or if you don't want to pre-order, you can simply stop by during business hours. Walk-ins are welcome, too! So...yeah. Amazing, amazing, amazing. I'm so glad the Vintage Garden Kitchen exists. I highly recommend you give them a try. Then you, too, can write your very own rave review of this freaking awesome local business. Well done, Vintage Garden Kitchen. Well done. And THANKS!

The location is a little out of the way, on Labarre south of Airline Highway across the railroad tracks, but definetly worth the trip!!!!
