My nail tech was pretty good very gentle and attentive... I had a very good service... I don't care for the gel due to all the UV exposure and extra chemicals, it just sucks that we have to get gel nails just for our nails to make it past 24 hours out of the Salon... my nails are already chipping. I had to ask for a second coat... there definitely wasn't a base coat or else maybe I would have had made it to the weekend... such a waste of money and I don't know if it just the cheap polishes ... smh read more

I asked for the elegant pedicure which includes a mud mask and other add ons. Throughout the pedicure I noticed that they were using lavender scented items and didn't do a mud mask which was identical to the cheaper option purple sky that my friend was having done but didn't say anything cause I didn't really mind if they had just heard me wrong. When i went to pay they had charged me for the elegant one and when I expressed that I hadn't received a mud mask or any of the add ons they told me they had seen my nail artist doing it and I must've not been paying attention. The two of them discovered it when I lived in South Florida and started bringing me along when I moved to Jax. Well, I always wondered what was so special about it compared to any other nail salon I've been to. The answer is two words: the people. From the front desk to the technicians, the staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unlike a lot of nail salons I've gone too throughout the years, they make conversation with their guests and are genuinely interested in your life. Shoutout to Kevin and Henry who we request every time. Kevin is the best pedicurist I've ever had and is a pro at foot reflexology. I showed both of them pictures from my wedding after I got my nails done there days before. I get my nails done every couple months and am not a regular customer who goes in bi-weekly. Argh that's all I can say. I went for a pedicure and at 9 minutes in he was done with my nails and was polishing. I complained and the excuse was that they needed to do gel polish before they do the massage. Barely touched my cuticles didn't clean under my nails. Last I checked your calf muscles are in the back of your leg! I barely got a light rub on the front. Did not exfoliate the sides of my feet! The list goes on. Really pathetic! Worst nail job of my life, my fingers were bleeding in multiple spots, everything imaginable that could go bad in a manicure/dip nails happened. Tony filed my nails way down along the sides! Was trying to let them grow and he filed my bare nails with a course file for acrylics and took all the length off. He kept hitting my fingers not the nails with the electric nail file, and saying it was because I moved! He got dip nail product all over my fingers even on the back of my hand! I left before he finished in pain!! I had product under my nails a painful disaster and now I have to be careful because on a few of my fingers he filed so far down along the sides on my nails I am afraid the nails themselves will lift from my fingers and I'll be shocked if I don't develop ingrown fingernails! read more

Tin provided a no frills pedicure in about 30 minutes. He proceeded to soak, dry, trim cuticles,and buff my fingernails. I was disappointed there was no hand or arm massage. I was a little apprehensive about visiting this location as my last experience was very disappointing,to say the least. However, after learning about the new management I decided to give this place another shot. I have to say, I am EXTREMELY happy with the services I received today. My nail tech was Henry and he was amazing. He took his time and paid close attention to detail while at the same time not taking forever. I just left so unhappy with my nails, Diana did them and did not pay attention to anything I said, I had a picture of a design on my phone that she kept saying she didn't need to see and completely did it wrong even after I told her it was wrong. The gel polish is all lumpy it looks horrible, it took Almost THREE HOURS and now I have no time to even get them fixed because I have to pick up my son! and after telling the guy who I believe is the manager he still charged me full price despite him acknowledging how bad they looked. Venetian is my go to place when I need a pedicure. Even when the salon seems unbelievably packed, the wait isn't too terribly long and service is always great with the rare exception. The chairs are massage chairs, the TVs are on mute with captions running, and the music tends to be soothing, and they'll bring you a complimentary drink - soda, water, or a glass of champagne. Venetian uses an autoclave to sterilize instruments and OPI polish. This last visit was an end of the week relaxation pedi for the maternal unit and I. We got the deluxe pedi ($31) which includes lavender scrub and a hot stone massage. My mom's technician accidentally nicked her cuticle which surprised me. The same technician did my nails before and was great. I've never seen them do that after a dozen+ visits and we really think it was a fluke. My technician was great with the leg massage but could have been a slight bit neater with the polish on one of my big toes. On the other side of the room, a lady dropped her iphone into the foot bath and the technician apparently scooped it up super quick because the phone was working fine. Kudos to fast reflexes! All in all, Venetian is a great salon. I've been a patron for years and will continue to be so long as cute toes and flip flops are mandatory attire for Floridians. read more

This was a GEL MANICURE, I paid $35 dollars for this only because it was convenient geographically. This place is WAY overpriced, and does a shit job. Happened to find this place on an off chance while waiting for a haircut. Went in to try for the first time and in NEED of a pedicure. Found out they are now under new ownership as of a week ago and are working to build up their reputation and customers. Very clean and calming atmosphere. I didn't even wait 5 minutes. The experience was great! Tom was super sweet. I enjoyed talking to him. Very gentle. I got a manicure with gel polish and my toes polished, no pedicure. Now I am writing this review 5 days after my actual experience. Had I written it on day 1, I would've given at least 4 stars. But not even a week out and my toe nail polish and my gel nail polish is chipped. My nails actually chipped 2 days later. I was shocked. I d planned to go back in but didn't even feel like spending time in the nail salon again, a few days later. I'm visiting Florida short term so thankfully this is temporary. I was very nice about it, but honestly it's so bad here. Maybe the lady that worked on my nails didn't know what she was doing. Not sure if she was new, but I asked for a specific design and it's just terrible. Not only that, she went really rough on the machine on my nails and rough on filing the side of my nails. I ended up bleeding a little. Very uncomfortable position to be in, I just wanted to leave. I'm washing my hands everytime right now and I realize I had another cut and ugh it just burns. When she was filing my nail, she cut my skin near the nail. Idk if she knows art designs either, because I look at my nails and it's really disappointing. I asked for almond shaped nails but a bit pointy. All my nails were not what I wanted. I asked her to re-shape as well. Still so bad. I am only giving 2 stars because the manager was very nice. I went in with a pedicure and left with a chunk of my big toe missing. For some reason the tech went over the top medial part of my big toe, which the manager told me was not normal. But after it first happened, she didn't realize it had been injured and went over the area another 2 times or so until I yanked my foot away because of the pain, she was paying no attention to the fact that my toe was bleeding and I had to point it out to her in order to get her to stop. She then immediately put my foot back in the hot (dirty) water that both my feet had soaked in and that lotion and oils had been rinsed off in. She did use disinfectant and continued with the pedicure, and then wrapped a hot towel around it briefly before putting the towel on my legs. I am not confrontational so I paid full price ($31) and left a poor tip. I returned today because im concerned about infection and it didn't sit right with me that she felt comfortable charging me full price. After speaking to the manager, the technician then took me aside and asked what I said to him. I explained to her what I said, and then she argued with me "but I used disinfectant", and "it wasn't that bad" (which wasn't the point). She then tried to blame me and say that I had a blister or skin pocket (which I didn't because I had just painted my nails myself the night before and I wouldve told her if I had something there, also if she knew there was a blister or skin pocket why did she go over it with a pumice stone!! makes no sense). She then asked if I liked my pedicure, to which I responded NO because most of my toenails were only half painted. She told the manager she would pay for it and to "give her her money," "she's just complaining". The manager did give me a refund and was really trying to make things right. Instead of the tech owning up to the fact that she made a mistake, she blamed me and was very rude. She never introduced herself to me, and I never asked for her name. read more

I would NOT recommend. The service was not pleasant. I went to have SNS nails done and a pedicure and took my 5 year old daughter with me to also have a pedicure. I chose the basic deluxe pedicure which said it was $32.00 on their menu and chose the the little princess pedicure for my daughter - priced at $21.00. We both chose gel polish which was a $15 up charge for each of us that I didn't learn until it was time to checkout. An additional $30 just for gel polish on my toes and her little toes.... THATS OUTRAGOUS! Our pedicures were so rushed as well. I told my nail tech I wanted the color black on my fingernails and she was so lazy to look for it, she came back with something that she said was similar just had sparkles... my nails are navy. And she made me bleed in a few places when she drilled my nails. At the end of this my total came to $135.00 BEFORE tip. I get my nails done very frequently and have never spent anywhere close to that. Luxury prices for not such a luxurious experience. If someone would have told me I'd be spending $40 for a children's pedicure I would have left... and then rude service on top of it. They're also charging $1 more for each service right now because of COVID-19 supplies. Masks are $1 each and I was charged $1 extra for my nails for some reason, and $1 extra for each pedicure. If there was a way for me to leave 0 stars, I would. My mother and I have gone to this salon more than once and every single time has been a disaster. We wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. The last time we went, my mom's nail technician was wearing the lowest cut shirt I've ever seen. You could almost see her nipples with how low the shirt was cut. Completely unprofessional. The same nail tech had such long nails herself that she messed up my mom's nails not once, not twice, but THREE times. She had to completely remove the nail polish on her toes and her fingers that she messed up and start over because she couldn't paint the nail correctly due to her long nails. I got a gel manicure on my fingernails which curled up around the edges and completely came off within 4-5 days after getting my nails done. I also got an eyebrow wax at Venetian and immediately the skin around my eyebrows became extremely inflamed (more so than usual after a wax). That night I developed a severe allergic reaction on the skin around my eyebrows leaving red, itchy bumps. I'm not sure but I think there was something wrong with the wax the girl used because I get my eyebrows done pretty regularly and this has never happened to me before. All in all, it was a complete waste of money. My mom and I are very busy women and we set time aside specifically to spend time together and catch up when we get our nails done. We were extremely disappointed in the services at Venetian and will never go back to this salon. read more

Been here several times before with positive results, but unfortunately had a recent bad visit. Called and scheduled mother/daughter pedis, arrived on time and were shown into the chairs. They started on my mothers pedicure right away but it was almost 40 minutes before a second technician came by to start mine. Because of this, the entire experience of getting pedicures together was completely off because one of us was constantly waiting for the other. And we weren't the only people sitting and waiting too. At one point I counted six women sitting in empty tubs waiting to be seen, while 3 technicians were still halfway through their current pedicures. A couple ladies by me must have waited a good half hour or more. That's crazy. As a business, if you're busy or understaffed and can't accommodate more guests, tell them so! Don't waste the guests time. I know you don't want to turn away business, but there are other salons in the area. We won't be coming back. read more

I've only been here twice and both time I got a full set the 1st time it was alright but the 2nd time I got my full set done the woman was in a rush it was the quickest I've ever gotten them done, she applied the gel over my nails so they sat on my cuticles.
