A very refreshing meal! We were the first customers in the door on Mother's Day, so there was no wait and food came out pretty quick. We ordered Feta Fries for an appetizer - they were perfectly seasoned and are a wonderful twist to just plain fries. For an entree I ordered a beef and lamb kabob with rice and potatoes. The kabobs are always good, but I personally am a huge fan of their potatoes - so fluffy and lemony! I finished with Tiramisu! It was the cherry on top to a perfect meal. Their mascarpone was fluffier than I'm used to (in a good way).... maybe they whipped it or something, anyways it was delicious! Our waitress, Izzy, was very attentive and super welcoming. Checked in on us frequently without suffocating us - the perfect amount of attention. Olive Pit has both indoor and outdoor seating - they do allow pets for outdoor seating I believe. It looks like they can probably fit around 50 guest (give or take), so I recommend a reservation.if possible. Ambiance was appropriate for Mediterranean style food. Love it! Yummy in my tummy! I had grilled salmon with roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables. My husband had chicken with green beans and rice. Everything was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean including the restrooms. There's a saying if the restroom is clean, so is the kitchen. From what I could see into the kitchen, it definitely was. Stopped by Olive Pit Grill in Huntington Beach for dinner with my wife. I ordered the chicken kabob with tzatziki and basmati rice. Overall, it was decent but didn't really stand out. The chicken was cooked well and everything tasted fresh, but it was a bit lacking in flavor and not as spiced as I was hoping for. That said, it wasn't bad by any means--just kind of middle-of-the-road. Portion size was fair and the service was fine. I'd say it's worth trying once, especially if you're in the area, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back. read more

This place is very elegant inside. Dark with a nice atmosphere. The acoustics make it difficult to hear when it gets crowded. Maybe a drop ceiling would help? It's conveniently located across the street from our place, we can walk to it. We started with Crispy Asparagus ($12.00) with were deliciously tender with a light, flaky coating. I ordered the Spanakopitas ($14.00) for my entree. They were pretty large and filling. My husband chose the Lamb 2 Kabob Plate ($28.00) that came with rice, pita and artichoke hearts. We came for lunch the other day and were greeted enthusiastically as soon as we entered. You go all the way to the back of the restaurant to order at the counter. The seating up front and on the covered patio. Tuesday is discounted beer day and they have a nice compact selection of beers. So we took advantage of the deal. I want in thinking I'd get the gyro but seeing the lamb sausage I went with the lamb sausage wrap. They do wraps on thin flat bread and not pita. My friends went with the lamb burger and were both satisfied. All come with a side and we all chose fries. The serving was very generous. I'm very disappointed in Olive Pit. I've been going there for years but apparently need to reconsider. This evening I had just enough time between chores to grab something to eat. Not enough time to go to a restaurant, order and wait but enough time to order in advance and eat it at the restaurant. I called to place an order for "dine-in" and was told I either had to order for dine out or not order until I got to the restaurant. It makes no sense. I understand a rule like this for a fine dining establishment or a place who runs off a waiting list.... Olive Pit is neither one. I've been here a few times and I'm surprised I never yelp about it. The food is consistently good and there's always a steady stream of customers. They are located in a small strip mall coast, Bolsa Chica State Park It's a walk up in order type of establishment and they bring the food to you. They do give you a little bit of table service, but you can't expect it like a full blown restaurant. Food is consistently good and tasty. This is my absolute favorite Mediterranean restaurant...and I have pretty much been to them all! The food and the service both perfection! For sure you gotta start with the grilled octopus appetizer. It is amazing served with a flavorful but light sauce. The fried zucchini are also so so good! I've had almost everything here. There really isn't anything that I don't love! The wraps, the fish, and all of the kabobs, the steak, chicken, lamb...and I actually don't even like lamb, but I love it here! I love the Olive Pit! It is always a treat when I get to come here. The outdoor patio is perfect for a summer night. If it gets chilly, they can turn on heaters by request. The food is consistently delicious and high quality. I ate here the night before my marathon in October 2023 and my stomach and body reacted well to the food the next day!! The salad was about 1/2 the size it used to be. It was soggy. The meat that used to be placed in slices on top, was cut up into small pieces. Why? I think there was less meat.
