Golden Olive is a quaint mom and pop shop that serves delicious Mediterranean food at affordable prices. I ordered the Falafel Wrap and was surprised that it came with BBQ chips and a vibrant salad. They make an in-house pesto like salad dressing that tasted incredible on the salad and on the pita wrap. The Pita Wrap had hummus dressing and the falafel was nice and crispy. The staff, an Egyptian family, were extremely welcoming and checked in with their patrons to ensure they were satisfied with their dishes. It's food like this that makes me feel connected to where I live, but also transports me to new places. The moment the pita bread hit the table, I know everything is going to be good, the pita bread is fresh, puffy and crispy, so delicious with the garlic sauce. However, they still managed to surprise me. The food here is excellent! We got the butterfly shrimp and kabob entree, shrimp is very flavorful, kabob is seasoned and grilled to perfection. I usually judge a place based off of the TABOULEH (which was 5000 stars) and the HUMMUS (which was I would say 3 out of 5, only cause I don't like when places use too much tahini.
