Complementary pita bread with the parmesan olive oil dip

This is the best Persian restaurant I've been to. They have cooked to order stews, and rice specialities. The salmon is delicious. The pomegranate Persian chicken stew is to die for. I frequently order a rice, chicken, and beef family platter and add a salad. It's a great deal and a ton of food. When I have friends and family over everyone loves it. This is a small family owned restaurant and the owners cook the meals and are there every time I go. They are friendly and the portions are generous. The Persian tea is also very tasty, don't forget to have some. Very small restaurant, quiet, and romantic dim light setting. Great for private parties, receptions, and events. Also great for date night.

Food here is amazing. It was super nostalgic experiencing the Mediterranean/Persian grill flavor again. Most definitely recommend the lamb shank, it is super tender and flavorful. For appetizers hummus and grape leaves are a must!! Tabuli salad & shrimp are amazing as well. Literally 0 complaints. The service was super friendly and felt like a family environment. Definitely coming back!!

In the mood for Persian food, we decided to check out Saffron Grill. Parking was easy in the lot, though the restaurant was smaller than I expected. The furniture was wooden and eclectic, with some small tables but mostly large long tables. Decor was also fun with cool lights/lamps. Service was excellent, I believe we were waited on by the owner couple. The menu was smaller than what I saw online but they still had a good number of dishes. We ended up ordering the beef soltani (combination of beef koobideh with beef steak) with zereshk (barberry) rice, salmon with dill rice, and gheimeh stew. I love the flavored Persian rices, and was glad Saffron offered so many options of rice made-to-order. Each rice even came with some tahdig (crunchy rice). All of the food was scrumptious though portions just fair for the price. We were also served warm bread with butter. Overall, very tasty food in a nice ambience, just a little on the pricier side.

Have you ever wanted to have a home cooked meal made with a lot of love? Come here... order some hummus... hot tea... and relax... the food will take a while, but that's because it's made with love... I wanted to find lamb shank and they served it here... not much for lamb, but I am when it's served here... 10/10... my wife got the chicken kabob 10/10... the rice is special... hard to describe... since the pictures I took a month ago we've been back several times... usually, we are the only ones there... and we love it... now we share the hummus and the chicken kabob dinner and it's perfect... hot water with lemon now, because the tea kept me up hahahaha... the secret ingredient? They will tell you saffron... but really it's LOVE

If you love traditional Delicious Persian food, I highly recommend this place!! Two things that really stand out here and are way better than most Persian restaurants in SoCal are, the jujeh kabob with bone (chicken with bone) and the ghormeh sabzi!! 100% you won't be disappointed! Also if you get tahdig ask for it 3 different ways (original, potato and lavash) So go say hi to Abus and let him take care of you!

The food is absolutely superb. Always perfectly cooked, juicy with flavor. The Owner and the service are always on point and so very kind. This is a wonderful gem in the area, and worth the drive if you're not close.

Empty on a Saturday night at 5:45. Good news - no wait for your food! We ordered a koobedeh combo plate (beef and chicken) ($16) and a gyro plate ($16). It came with warm pita and butter. Food came out after about 13 minutes. Chicken koobideh, amazing! Gyro, amazing! Beef koobideh, just ok, but I'll order all chicken next time. Saffron rice, delicious and the fries well crispy and peppery. This is my all-time favorite medditerranean place now! Will definitely be back! Too bad I live so far away!

I like that you can bring your dogs here and sit on the patio. The water comes with lemon. It's a nice touch. The seats have pillows so you don't have to sit on a hard seat. I like that the pita comes out and it's warm and it has butter packs that are individually wrapped. I appreciate these little touches. The food is all so yummy

    Very good..lamb..

Do u do a large group?

Restaurant is smaller and would struggle to accommodate a large group. Groups of 6 or less would be ideal for the space.

Do you still have the lunch buffet?

For the sandwich, they slice it in 2/2, and then fill it with all of the meat in my case beef or you can do beef and chicken or just chicken. Ask for a sample to try and see which one you like. They also do a falafel, however, I found it to be a little bit on the dry side but flavorful. They also do a wrap or simply a plate. They also have some specials where they put the meats and sauces over french fries. That seems to be very popular. It's actually kind of like a Chipotle in the way that you order at the counter and pick which ingredients you want. If you like sweets, they have homemade delicious rice pudding among other Turkish treats. Some of these items sell out early so show up right before lunch to have the best selection. This is a go-to place for me at least every two or three weeks and never disappoints! They are extremely consistent and they have great service with friendly staff.

We moved further away, so it just slipped out of the regular rotation--but it's one of those places I've always remembered fondly and definitely missed. Happy to report it's still very good. I came in craving a shawarma combo, so I went with the chicken and lamb combo and chose cucumber-tomato salad and tzatziki for the two sides. Everything was well prepared and flavorful, just like I remembered. The portions are big, the kind where if you're not a huge eater you can easily turn one plate into two meals. Always appreciate that. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the place felt clean and well kept. It has that family-run feel, which adds to the experience. The only thing that's changed a bit over the years is the value. Prices are definitely higher than I remember, but honestly that seems to be the case everywhere these days. The generous portions help balance that out. Located in a strip mall in Westminster, it may not be flashy, but if you're looking for solid Mediterranean food, big servings, and friendly service, it still delivers. Glad I made the return visit. Definitely won't let it be so long next time.

Across the street is Sam's Club, and Mile Square Park is just a short drive away-making it a lively and convenient area. One day, craving both pizza and Mediterranean food, I finally decided to stop in. They open at 11 AM, and I happened to be their first customer of the day. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a friendly cashier who took my order and kindly asked if I wanted anything else. I decided to keep it simple and ordered a half-and-half buila-your-own pızza. While waiting. I noticed several awards displayed on the wall, including "Best of 2026" and "Best of 2025" from Business Rate. It's clear this place has earned a strong reputation, with customers praising everything from their Mediterranean buffet to their pizza and chicken. The menu offers much more than just pizza. They serve a variety of Turkish dishes such as Adana kebab plates, doner plates or wraps, meatball plates, lentil soup, chicken soup, and both half and whole roasted chicken meals. They also offer Turkish tea, desserts like baklava and Hira, soft drinks, and refreshing house-made lemonade. One thing that really sets them apart from other Turkish restaurants is their freshly made daily lahmacun--a Armenian & Turkish-style pizza topped with seasoned minced beef. Their garlic sauce is another standout-it's rich, smooth, and complements the food perfectly without being overpowering. It's definitely a must-try addition to any order. Moonlight Pizza & Chicken also offers catering, takeout, and delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash, along with dine-in options and accommodations for larger events. Their prices are reasonable compared to other Mediterranean restaurants, making it an even better value. If you enjoy Turkish or Mediterranean food, I highly recommend giving this place a try. It has quickly become one of my go-to spots, and I'm already looking forward to going back and exploring more of the menu.

We went last night to celebrate a birthday and from the moment we pulled up I noted things were different. Ad's on the windows gone a few of the interior decorations gone and most evident was Mom and her son weren't there. I don't know the lady's name but she's been there for decades working her butt off. And I've watched her son grow into a man with his own kids. Mom, as I'll refer to her, was always so nice and welcoming. Her food was good and she made the best baklava I have ever had! Anyway, the place has changed hands. I'm bummed I didn't get a chance to say bye and I hope that things ended well, on their terms, and that Mom enjoys a long healthy well deserved retirement. Thank you so much for the wonderful food and memories. May God bless you and your family. As for the new owners, they seemed to be working hard and looked to be trying to keep things similar. I frequent the buffer and was glad to see the kufta, ground seasoned meat sticks in tomato sauce, still there. The shape was a little off. No green beans though! They were so good together. Their lentil soup was much different and totally blended smooth. Not bad, but I don't care for the consistency, the old way was much better. The chicken and rice soup was still there, all be it a bit watered down but good. Pizza at the buffet was alright. I didn't care for the pita bread with cheese and peperoni, it was kinda weak (this was not lamajun). All in all, it was alright and I'm sure I'll go back to see how they do. It's still a decently priced buffet. I do wish the new owners well and hope they try and keep some of the old recipes.
