I Love the food this is my favorite place to eat and Carlos and the rest of the staff are the best.

Wow the food here was super good! Normally I prefer Middle Eastern food over Greek food but the Greek food here was top notch and super flavorful! I ordered the 2 kebab plate for $16.99 and paid the $2.50 up charge to get a steak kebab in addition to the chicken kebab. Both kebabs were perfectly cooked and very flavorful. The steak was medium and tender and not overcooked at all - it was perfect! I also liked how there were red peppers and onions layered with the kebab. So tasty! The chicken was also perfect. The stars of the show in addition to the kebabs were the side dishes that came with it: orzo pasta (DELICIOUS!), tzatziki sauce (oh soooo flavorful! I wiped the container clean it was so good!), and a really delicious greek salad with kalamata olives, feta cheese, onions, cucumbers, a peppercini and lettuce with a really yummy dressing. They had multiple slices of pita bread as well which was soft and super fresh. Overall, this was a super delicious meal and I think this restaurant deserves 5 stars. I will FOR SURE come back here! I also noticed many people getting takeout too. There's plenty of seating inside and they give free cups for water. The ambiance is casual but nice. I was gait with my meal and went to get a second soda, but I noticed some dirt build up on the counter and decided to take a closer look. What I found was appalling. The soda fountain looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year. It has syrup, dirt, rust, and what looks like mold on the underside where the dispensers are. The service was pleasant and the location is convenient. This along with good food is why I'm giving it a 2 star and not a 1 star rating. As to the cleanliness, this is a failure. read more

Has anyone else had trouble using the 10% off coupon for Athens West? The food is delicious but expensive, so we would really like to use the coupon. It must be used online by May 15, 2026. (Today is May 9, 2026.) We placed an order for over $40.00. When we put the coupon code in of 1BEACH it would not take it. Tried many variations of the same code and even called them to make sure we were reading it correctly. Even had my husband take it in when picking up the online order in person. I had a reason to celebrate the holidays early and needed to feed 15 people. We love Athens West and they offer catering! We had an amazing meal of skewers, gyro, orzo, pita, falafel, hummus, spicy feta and Greek salad! We live close so we picked up. When I got home, I tossed the salad and called everyone to grab a plate. Everything was self contained and oh so easy! We popped into Athens West after a football game and we're immediately greeted by a smiling teenage boy behind the register. He was genuinely happy to serve us and ensured our order was correct when placing it. The location has ample seating inside and out, and is stocked with napkins, straws, and water cups for self serve water on the counter which I loved! They have a one person bathroom in the back of the store that was clean and well stocked. When our food arrived the same boy who took our order at the register carried it to our table. Overall the service was excellent, the food delicious, and the quality great. We will absolutely be returning!! Our kids gobbled up the Gyro meat, and my husband and I enjoyed a Gyro sandwich with a generous salad and fries. So yummy!!!! read more

I ordered the steak pizza without onions and I ordered a side salad and then I did not regret it. I only regretted not ordering two of them. The spanakopita was flaky and crispy and there was a good amount of spinach and cheese on the inside. The included pita was warmed up and I could tell it was freshly made and not frozen. The fries were nice and crispy and the salad was a refreshing side to the rest of the platter. There is plenty of seating inside and patio seating if you prefer sitting outside. You order at the counter or at the big tablet display they have on the side. Every order is made to order so it takes about 10-15 minutes before your food is ready! The best Mediterranean food in town! We absolutely love coming and eating here. We usually have our go-to's which are the Gyro Platter and/or the Gyro Salad. Their portions are really filling and their meat is truly cooked to perfection and full of flavor and aways fresh! It's never chewy or hard like some gyro can be. If you order the salad plate, you'll get the crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and tasty gyro. It comes with dressing and a side of pita with tzatziki sauce. When you order the platter, you'll get a small salad with the same fixings as the salad plate, orzo rice, gyro and your pita with tzatziki sauce. Customer service and staff is always very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean on the inside. Recently, with the COVID-19, the store has been practicing good social distancing and even some really nice discounts during the week when you order. Wait time for phone and ononline ordering is going down hill. This placed used to be normal to fast completing phone orders. Each weekend we get placed on hold for 20 min then the order takes another 30 minutes to be done. The kid on the phone says they are very busy, yet when I arrive two employees are standing around at the register watching 2 people cook. Been here a few times since it's a local spot. They sell coupons for this place on Local Flavors, apparently, Athena west doesn't want to honor the terms of the gift certificate. Namely requiring a minimum purchase of $30 for either take out or dine in. Whereas the certificate states that a minimum $30 purchase is only required for take-out. So, I'm guessing agreements on the certificate don't mean anything. What's to stop you now from saying our certificate is only worth 1/2 of what it's suppose to be or any manor of change you want to make. We purchased the Certificate in good faith and you sold the certificate having, presumably, agreed to the terms. At least I know for future reference. Just want to give a heads up to anyone that may of purchased the Certificates. Cashier also could be a bit more versed in Communication. read more

The food is delicious. They have the food ready to pick up quickly. I love their chicken salad.

I stopped in at around 1:25pm to grab a quick bite. The line was a bit long and slow moving. I finally got to order and opted for the salmon salad and a platter with chicken and lamb off the rotating spit. The salad consisted of romance, cucumbers, tomatoes, one olive, pepperoncini's, mushy feta cheese and a dressing that i'm really not sure what it was. It did have some red wine vinegar in it. Definitely not your traditional greek salad dressing. The salad was very average and i would definitely not order it again. The 3.5 other ounce piece of salmon was sitting on top of the salad. Fresh and tasty salmon. This was best part of the salad by far. The lamb was was served with a small salad, pita bread , orzo, chicken on a skewer and sliced lamb. Both the chicken and the lamb were on the dry side. i dipped my meats in the yogurt sauce to liven everything up a bit. Not really much help. Very forgetful. I guess i'm a bit spoiled especially when there's an authentic place called HB Pita. +2.5 stars. read more

No matter what plate or bowl you get. It is a lot of food. The staff is so kind and patient with those who are not familiar with the menu.
