Homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. I ate a crouton before I realized I didn't snap a pic lol.

Met a good friend here for lunch. Thursday at noon wasn't busy. Seated promptly but wasn't super hungry. Server was very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere. Ordered a bowl or tomato basil soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Simple but she said the soup was made in-house. Soup was garnished with a little parm cheese and 4 croutons. Sandwich grilled to perfection. The soup was delicious. Wouldn't definitely get again. A great lunch experience. If you're ever down Mocksville way, stop in and say hello here. It's worth it.

We met friends there last night. GPS took me a weird way, so PSA just take I40 to the Mocksville exit. It's a really pretty area tucked in a golf course and there's a playground. We were greeted immediately and our server was attentive. It's definitely a spot that has regulars. There's also a bar around the corner. We ordered the fried green tomato app and it was delish, sadly there were only 3. I ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was delish. The tazaki doesn't come with it so it's something to ask for, and was heavy on the dill. The sautéed veggies were good. It also came with the Mediterranean potatoes and I was expecting rosemary, but had a sweet taste so maybe cinnamon? My kid had the Mac and cheese and fries. The Mac had definitely been reheated but the cheese was good, as were the fries. It wasn't busy, but wonder if it's busier on the weekends. I'll try it out again.

We had tried to eat before but couldn't find it, arrived this time and found much better signage. The parking lot is a little walk from the restaurant doors so if you are handicapped or have trouble with mobility, you should probably get dropped off at the door. When we walked in we were greeted immediately and there was a sign with specials right there. The area restaurant has plenty of seating and good lighting. There were not a lot of patrons at this time, and the noise level was rather low. There was plenty seats available at the bar on the left side of the room as well. We were seated right away and our waitress brought our drinks out quickly. We started with the fried salmon nuggets which absolutely blew me away. They were lightly breaded with cornmeal and the fish inside was cooked perfectly. The salmon was juicy and flaked nicely and had a great fresh flavor. I got the fried pork chops with ham gravy, cheesy polenta and collard greens. Pork was cooked great and the crust wasn't too much. The gravy was a great addition, and take a bite of the pork, gravy, and polenta together all went together nicely. I had never had collards before so Im probably not a fair judge. They were a bit salty and were not much to write home about but they were not bad at all. The side of fries were crispy and hot. No overall big complaints, wasn't the most amazing food but I would certainly be back to try some of their other menu items.

Great location with plenty of parking, right off HWY 64! Each time I have been for breakfast, the location has been very clean, great service, and food has been on point. The grits are extremely good but I would say they are more like dinner grits. Am I the only person that thinks breakfast grits and dinner grits are different? With that being said, they have great flavor and you cannot go wrong here. I look forward to trying dinner here soon.

We were headed through Mocksville and took the opportunity to stop in at the newly opened Olive Tree Restaurant. Our understanding is this location is affiliated with the Olive Tree in Winston. We weren't quite sure what to expect since we knew it was located at a golf course. Neither my wife or I are golfers so we were a bit apprehensive. Colin Creek Golf Club is located on the outskirts of Mocksville and we enjoyed the drive. The parking lot is easy to navigate and the restaurant is visible from the main entrance. The trees lining the driveway and parking area are big and beautiful, it felt very charming on a spring morning. We snapped a few pictures and headed in. We were immediately greeted by two young ladies at the hostess stand. One of the young ladies took us to a table and provided us menus, we also quickly looked at the specials board. Lendis stopped in and welcomed us and also took our drink orders. We began to look over the menu and since we arrived about 10:30am we were offered both breakfast and lunch menus. Everything on both menus sounded delicious and we thought the prices were very reasonable. We both decided to order the Breakfast Steam Engine (smoked ham, turkey & applewood smoked bacon with scrambled egg, Gruyère cheese & honey mustard on griddled brioche Texas toast). We both ordered the Honey mustard on the side and my wife asked for hers to be served on a biscuit while I kept the Texas toast. I also ordered a side of hashbrowns while my wife chose a side of bacon. The interior is warm and inviting and we noticed a few things including a 100% sanitation score, a full bar and it appears they are preparing an outdoor covered patio space. Lendis told us they opened in January and are open every day except for Tuesday's. Our Breakfast Steam Engines arrived in a timely manner and looked yummy. We both dug in and thought they were very tasty. Lendis also stopped in numerous times to check in on us and we felt very well taken care of. We both agreed it was a great stop and we are anxious to make our way back out for lunch and dinner as well. We highly recommend, fabulous service, delicious food and a beautiful setting which makes it welcoming for all even if you aren't a golfer.

So glad this place was finally able to open, it's been a long time coming! The inside is very clean. There are a lot of tables, and even a bar! Unfortunately, they currently only have 1 high chair but they have 2 more ordered! We went in for breakfast this morning and the seasoned potatoes were definitely my favorite, and my daughter loved her cup of fresh fruit. Now, the only reason I'm doing 4 stars vs 5 stars - there are areas that could use some improvement! It did seem like our waitress might be new to being a waitress. She didn't stop by very often, but this will get better with time I'm sure! There's also a lot of chatting up at the hostess stand. Food wise, I just wish my omelet had been seasoned! Even if it was just salt and pepper. (Though our waitress wasn't super attentive, the owner really was! She apologized and felt so bad about the high chair and checked on us at least 3 times) We live SO close by, so we will return and I have my fingers crossed I can change this to 5 stars then!

My wife and I came here for a private event, but they don't open to the public for 2 more weeks. The facilities are amazing. A mix of old-world charm and modern clean lines. The food was Bruscetta balsamic chicken. The balsamic glaze and the cheese were a perfect combination of flavors. These came with roasted Greek potatoes. I couldn't atop getting more even when I was full. For such a simple dish, it was awesome. Along with these was a Mediterranean salad. I don't know what the dressing was, but yu-mee. Next were sautéed vegetables. Again, scrumptious. Spinach and artichoke dip on pita bread rounded things out. Oh, there was a charcuterie board setup that included the most amazing dried figs! The owners were so gracious and happy the entire time. It was a wonderful experience! We are anxious to return when they officially open.

My wife found this place on Yelp just a few minutes away from the banquet hall. It was on an Americana central street with parking in front. We walked in to what I initially thought was just a small place, but there were actually three rooms to sit in. We ordered ice coffee (being that it was going to be a warm Southern day) and I got "The Elvis", peanut butter and bananas on white toast. The staff were all extremely friendly and the food came out quickly. I drank down eagerly the ice coffee that in some ways reminded me of a Vietnamese ice coffee. The sandwich was just right with a creamy peanut butter and banana slices. The place is super cute, the service is great and the food is a good price, who could ask for more?

They have everything from frozen coffees to iced lattes to crafted brews, and their sandwiches were not that expensive at all.

The Mexican mocha latte was quite the wonderful surprise. The first sip you could taste the mocha and cinnamon, the aftertaste was a hint of Cayenne pepper. Truly enjoyable. We got home and had early lunch. The quiche was fantastic. Very savory with chunks of ham. My husband and I will really loved it. They also sell whole quiches for less price than most supermarkets around. We were going to save the cheesecake for dessert tonight but broke down and had it after lunch. It was a little hard to find because a road is closed in the vicinity but we were able to find it using the Waze app. The building itself is a large steel structure which has been nicely finished on both inside and out. We arrived about 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted. We were taken to a booth and there were a couple of other tables seated. Immediately, you could tell this was a family run business with multiple generations pitching in. The young man who took our drink order was friendly and efficient. They have quite a few taps on the back wall but they were not in service and therefore were only offering cans and bottles. The menu says they currently have malfunctions with their cooler. We were given time to peruse the menu but were checked in on to ensure we didn't have questions. The menu offers burgers, fries and dogs but they are all elevated. There are some very creative and special combinations which as the asterisk notates on the menu some items are unable to be changed. We decided to start with the pub bucket, which offers steak fries along with melted cheddar cheese and ranch. My wife ordered the Elvis burger which features bourbon glazed apples, peanut butter, banana chutney and cheddar cheese. I chose the Godfather which features salami, pepperoni and mozzarella, and I chose to get the creamy garlic pesto on the side. My wife went to use the restroom and on her way back she reported that it was very clean and she happened to notice their recent state inspection certificate boasted an impressive 99.5! Our appetizer arrived in a timely manner and while it looked different (we are used to restaurants serving fries with cheese melted with a side of ranch) this had the fries topped with cheese and the ranch poured on top. But let me tell you they were delicious! Lots of heavenly cheddar cheese which was perfectly melted and gooey topped with delicious ranch dressing. Our burgers arrived shortly afterwards and are wrapped up when served. We began to unwrap and they also looked delicious. My wife immediately started eating hers while my camera ate first. My wife commented that her burger was absolutely delicious and said she was a bit iffy at first on the cheddar cheese being served with the sweet toppings but was happy to report she thought it worked perfectly and she was glad she didn't alter the burger. My burger was a double and huge! Since I had asked for the aoili on the side because I am not a mayo guy and while it was very good I should have asked for some ketchup to dip my burger in. I enjoyed it alot and saved half for later. My wife had her eye on the apple ring sundae. It is Granny Smith apple rings, sliced and cored and dipped in cinnamon sugar and deep fried, topped with vanilla ice cream and cool whip and drizzled with homemade caramel sauce. She ordered the half version which includes three rings. It took a little longer for the dessert to arrive because by this time they had started to get busy with a majority of the inside tables full as well as a few outdoor tables and several to go orders. The dessert arrived and my wife was happy to report it was also delicious. So glad we finally stopped in and we already have talked about our next time. It was apparent from our time there that they have a following and it is easy to see why. We did ask about onion rings and were told they plan to bring back again in the fall. Awesome service, creative menu, clean and family run. Plan your visit!
