I absolutely love Cava. I discovered the chain on a recent trip to Orlando and was pleasantly to surprised to find a location so close to home in Delray. I've been here 3 times since the beginning of June. Each time the food has been sensational! My go to is the honey harissa chicken with lentils, greens, hummus, harissa, pickled onions, olives, spicy broccoli, sumac slaw and their mixed salads. However I also love the braised lamb which is delicious as well. Other than the food, the staff is very cool, the dining room is spacious and there are plenty of tables to sit at. The only downside I can think of is that they do get busy at peak times, like 15 or 20 people in line busy, so be prepared. Overall, 5 stars from me. In my opinion, is the best of all the 'make your own bowl' places, way better than Bolay and Fresh Kitchen. read more

I always try to be fair, patient, and understanding when I leave reviews. I write them to help businesses improve, not to tear them down. Today I placed a large order for physicians and their staff. I arrived at 11:15 a.m., and my order wasn't ready. Even by 11:30, there were about eight employees working, but there was no sense of urgency or teamwork to get a large customer taken care of. The food is great, and this restaurant has so much potential. My message is to the owners: please take a close look at your operations and staff. Great food alone isn't enough--customers also remember the service. I truly hope you can get it together because this place deserves to succeed read more

I'm pregnant and I'm having strange meat aversions, so, I've been getting my protein elsewhere, and tonight I was trying to get it from Cava's falafels. I placed my order online, my husband picked up my food, and to my absolute surprise and HORROR, there was a rice bowl full of lamb (ew) meatballs. I called and asked for a manager, explained the mix up and requested a refund. She replied that they were unable to issue refunds in the store from online orders, but she would be more than happy to remake my food. I agreed and send my husband back to get my remade food. He brings it back and there's sauce all over it. My original order had both sauces on the side because I had never had them before, and I ended up hating the sauce that they had slathered all over my remake. At this point, I'm frustrated and crying, because I'm nauseous and hungry. I call for the second time and explain the mix up again. She apologizes and says that they can remake the food again. I don't even want to eat anything from there at this point, but she keeps offering me free this and free that - I just want my money back. She says that I can only receive my refund from the online website and not the store. I give up, defeated, and throw the food away, ready to let it all go because mistakes happen - they even happen twice! Until my phone rings...it's the manager, calling to correct me about my order, saying that the sauce was never mentioned to be on the side and that they remade my food using a receipt that does not say that the sauces should be on the side. Now, if I had made a mistake in the way that I made my order, why in the flying fudge monkey would I have called to request a refund, not once BUT TWICE? I told her to look on the online receipt and read the order back to me - both sauces on the side. The absolute audacity to call me back and try to correct me after screwing up my food TWICE. Flabbergasted. Gobsmacked. I am completely taken aback and amazed! I drove to the store myself and spoke to the manager on duty - oh, did I mention that the general manager was with whom I was speaking to on the phone? I explained my frustration and asked for corporate's information...and then a worker came from behind the line and tried to explain the way that the ticket system worked. I told her what her GM should have done was get behind the line, pull the online ticket and make the order again herself, then double check the order AGAIN after she was finished. I'm over it. This is so trivial and so SO STUPID. BUT, I need yall to know that there is a 50/50 chance that if you place an online order at this store, it's going to be WRONG. Not exaggerating - I've ordered here 10 times and my food has been wrong 5 times. I'm done now though, seriously...maybe. No, I'm definitely not eating here anymore. read more

This is a nice Cava. Big, plenty of tables and fresh, healthy choices. Located on Federal Hwy just south of Linton. It's in the strip shopping center across the parking lot from Trader Joes and Nordstrom Rack. Plenty of parking just steps away. Walk up to order and you can have a featured bowl, pita or salad or you can build your own. I prefer to build my own so it starts by choosing a base, either greens, grains, pita or rice, add a protein, grilled chicken, steak, or roasted vegetables. Then you can customize the meal with up to three different toppings, hummus, tzatziki, harissa, feta or an eggplant dip, next in line you choose toppings such as roasted corn, tomatoes, pickles, feta, cabbage and top everything with a Mediterranean style dressing. I'm so glad you finally made it Delray Beach, FL nearby. I tried the Mediterranean Chicken & Rice bowl for lunch at CAVA and it was really good. The chicken was flavorful and well seasoned, and all of the other items certainly balanced it out. What I like most about CAVA is that your meal is made to order. Everything was fresh and customizable, but this combination worked so well together that I'd order it again and as I did this time but don't forget to add the 3rd dip. Great option for a quick lunch or healthy dinner. I'm looking forward to trying other menu item soon as this will be added to my lunch rotation. read more

Finally tried Cava for the first time ever today. I was a little surprised at how small the bowls are, it seemed as if they barely filled it up. The rice was extremely hard and I wasn't impressed by the flavors overall. It wasn't terrible but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. I personally prefer Orion Mediterranean! read more

My first time trying Cava today and it was very good. I love all the different options they have and flavorful dips and dressing. I also got a side pita chip and it was very good. My only con is how slow they are behind the counter and I feel like a smile here and there might be nice. Everyone looked so mean and yet focused on the lunch rush. Nice decor inside and I love to see the back kitchen. I got a bowl with basmati rice and power greens, grilled chicken with tzatziki and hummus, then topped it with the corn, tomato cucumber salad, sumac slaw, romaine, crispy pita strips and Greek dressing and garlic sauce on the side. The line was pretty long when I arrived but moved quick. The customer service was great as well. Very clean and plenty of high chairs available for the kiddos as well. The food was so fresh and tasty and there as a variety of toppings and proteins to choose from as well. The toppings are unlimited as well if you choose to make your own bowl. Don't forget to ask for your free pita and they also has crispy pita for an upcharge that's a game changer. It's so buttery crispy and flavorful! The menu and prices are well labeled as well. I have never felt so disrespected by a restaurant in my life. I placed an order at 12:50pm for a 1:15pm pickup. I arrived at 1:00pm and stood there waiting until 1:50pm -- and STILL never received my food. There were over 60 pickup orders piled up, yet the system continued allowing customers to place timed orders they clearly had no capacity to fulfill. That is completely unacceptable. If you cannot handle the volume, turn off online ordering. It's that simple. The staff was beyond rude and dismissive. Instead of communicating or apologizing, they blatantly ignored me while I stood there asking about my order. The manager was the worst part of the experience -- zero accountability, zero urgency, zero solutions. No refund process explained. No offer to make it right. Nothing. Just attitude and avoidance. I have worked in the food industry for 10 years, and this is not how you treat people. Delays happen. Being overwhelmed happens. But ignoring customers and refusing to take responsibility does not. I ended up late returning to work with no food and no resolution. Completely unprofessional and poorly managed. This location needs serious leadership and operational fixes. Staff is pretty... unfriendly(?) here... not sure who's managing this place but they defintely need someone else running the show. I've been to other CAVA's and this one just feels slapped together. Minimal training etc. The food is mostly okay, but they're out of stuff all the time. They forget things for delivery/pickup orders at least 50% of the time. Kinda sad, but you know what they say -- it starts at the top. Corporate/owners need to take note, whoever's running this place is running it into the ground fast. read more

The Portion sizes are terrible, They use a solid serving spoon for the rice and you'd assume a full spoon would be the correct portion. But no, The server gave us a spoon that was 1/3 of the way full and tried to spread it out to look better in quantity. We then asked if we could get more rice, you know so at least the bottom of the bowl is covered and were told it'd be an extra charge. The workers looked unhygienic with fake eyelashes falling off her face and into the food. She was so rude and didn't even apologize for the extra hour of travel time.
