Polite at front desk. Showed no interest in finishing work, held on to property for much longer, and took even longer for warranty repair. Work finished elsewhere and interior was wrecked, seats smelled like oil and body odor. Would get car towed to another town if transmission needed. read more

We took our car in a couple weeks ago because we thought the transmission was slipping. They confirmed it was, and offered us a rental car, which we turned down because we didn't need it. When I picked the car up a week later, before getting it around the block, I knew there was still a problem. I drove the rest of the way home and immediately called the shop and explained what was happening. The owner, Mr. Oliver told me to bring it back the next morning so he could ride along with me to see/hear/feel for himself what was going on. The next morning I let him drive the car and he knew right away that there was still a problem. Again, they offered us a rental vehicle, and again, we turned them down. Turned out one of the parts they installed was bad (from the manufacturer; NOT the fault of Oliver Brothers). They had to rebuild the transmission again. Today, I got the car back. Mr. Oliver had personally driven it over the weekend to make sure it was in good working order AND took me for a good 10 minute test drive when I picked it up, so I could make sure it was working properly as well. On top of all that, it turned out that three of the four O2 sensors needed to be replaced. They were able to replace those - and didn't charge me for it. Mr. Oliver also offered to give us a gift certificate to our favorite restaurant as a thank you for not insisting on a rental car (we turned that down too; we were just grateful to them for their profesionalism, their friendly service, and for going above and beyond in making sure the job was done right). :) All of that AND they have a three-year nationwide warranty, AND they don't ask you to pay for the entire repair up front. They ask for a portion of the cost up front, and they will make a 'gentleman's arrangement' with you to make payments on whatever balance remains. If you ever need transmission work, Oliver Brothers in Copperas Cove is the place to go! As long as we live anywhere near Cove, I'll *never* take my cars anywhere else for transmission work. read more

Great family owned business! Jeff Oliver and his staff were very friendly and professional. he was very willing to answer questions and provide detailed discussion on what was wrong with my truck. they finished the job on time and below the initial estimate. 3 year warranty was also very refreshing. While working on my truck they found a steering issue that I paid someone else to repair (actually another transmission shop in Copperas Cove)... they showed me the problem so I clearly understood the issue. after my transmission repair was done, Jeff personally drove it to confirm that all was working well. while waiting for my ride when I dropped off my truck, i overheard Jeff talking with another customer... he had the same interaction with the other customer and actually gave the other customer great advice on his transmission problem... I felt that he was very honest, sincere and professional at all times. i was so pleased that I found this shop and that I went to them for my transmission problem. I highly recommend this shop to anyone having transmission issues or needs a question or two answered. I went to/called to a few different shops /dealerships because I thought there was something wrong with my tranny. I was really worried and just basically wanted some reassurance that there was nothing wrong(or there was). Normally being a women or someone with little knowledge in automobiles you get treated poorly or they'll try to screw you. This is not the case here! After a long day of not being able to get my car looked at I called in to Oliver Brothers in Cove and I was able to come right then and there. Considering its busy season I wasn't expecting that but Jeff took the time to checkout my jeep listen to my concerns and explain to me that what I was hearing was actually NORMAL. He treated me with respect and never talked down to me because I wasn't knowledgeable in car talk. I actually learned a little something and left there feeling assured that my care was safe to drive.
