The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! I definitely got what I paid for. And like many others - I am a satisfied/happy customer. Definitely my new go-to mechanic!

I told them that the engine starts, but was riding rough and acting as if it was going to cut off. I thought maybe I put some bad gas in it. My second thought was, maybe I needed a major tune up (since it's been a while). I agreed to pay them $102 to find out what the problem was. So, after they start looking at the truck, Andrew calls me back and says the mechanic has an "idea" of what was wrong with it; but needed to do a different diagnosis for an additional fee. They should've said this was a possibility from the beginning. He then told me that he "believed" it was a bad timing change/belt (or whatever you call it). He said the fee to do the second diagnostic was $600 (which was 6 hours labor). This second diagnostic was to check and see, but it wasn't guaranteed that this was actually the problem. When he gave me the cost of second fee, I immediately refused to pay it. Who has $600 to spend on a MAYBE diagnosis? If I agreed to do the diagnostic and that's not what the problem was, I would still owe $102 (for the first diagnostic to NOT tell me what the problem was)... WHAT?? I would also owe $600 (for the second diagnostic). If I then agreed to do the second diagnostic, it would be $700 plus $2300 to fix the timing change/belt. Well, I'm not rich! So I can't afford $700 on a hunch that may not even be the problem. When I told them what my truck was doing and why I needed to have it checked out, that should've given them a general idea of the few things that could be wrong with it. If the guy had told me from the very beginning that if would possibly need a second diagnostic, I would've refused the first diagnostic. I'm not a mechanic, nor do I know anything at all about cars. So, how was I supposed to know they wouldn't find the problem (which is why I agreed to the diagnostic test in the first place)? I just wasted money and one of my AAA tows for absolutely NOTHING. I guess they have to keep the money coming in some kind of way. Yeah, it's $102, but that's money that could've been used elsewhere. The truck is still not in running condition. So, I'm back to square one. Thanks a lot! IN RESPONSE TO CHUCK'S MESSAGE.. In the third paragraph, you say that I approved the diagnostic with my signature. Yes... I approved the FIRST diagnostic ONLY. I paid for a service I DIDN'T GET. It's not rocket science! Maybe you guys should be honest and let people know upfront that there's a POSSIBILITY you'll need to do additional/more expensive test. If you had told me this, I would've had you guys do the first test. Then, you wouldn't have my signature at all. Set another date for him to come out and do the work, he came replaced brake switch, brakes and calipers. Drove it one block and said the work was done and car was running fine. Paid 669.00 . I drove the car it left me stranded with the same VSA light and issue, called them back they sent someone out 2 days later who determined that the first mechanic failed to bleed the brakes. 3 days after that Im getting ready to run errands... SAME ISSUE CAR WONT MOVE LEFT ME STRANDED after driving 2.5 miles. Had it towed to a mechanic shop cause at this point I dont want Nuts or Bolts to touch a fkng thing I own. The mechanics I took the car to determined that when the previous mechanic replaced the break switch he put a screw in stead of a grommet. The grommet is what presses the switch to allow the breaks to come back into position once you take your foot off the breaks. Paid thebnew nechanic who was very transparent and even suggested that they dont understand why they replaced all that and failed to mention that I need new Rotors ! or at the very lease had them resurfaced for 669.00 !!! As I said .. NEVER AGAIN !

The M and M One Stop Auto Shop had been open for about a week so I gave them a try. Monty crunched some numbers and quoted me a fair price. I told him I'd discuss it with my wife and get back with him. A few days later I had an afternoon free, so I called Monty around 1:00 and said let's do it! By 2:00 the vehicle was on a tow truck heading to the shop, by 3:00 I was told that the new part was due in by 4:00, and by 5:45 the job was complete. The SUV is running as good as ever, and yes, the AC is working fine. BTW a gentleman from Phil's Paint and Body (it might have been Phil), handled the tow, he has a sort of partnership with Monty for flat-rate towing services and the tow charge was included in my final bill. Payment - I received my invoice as a text from Square and the cost fell well within the range of the estimate. Payment was easy and I received a digital receipt as a PDF. Vets, be sure to ask about a military discount. Cost / Value - Monty is a straight-shooter, no mark-ups, no add-ons, no BS. Hours - The hours are VERY reasonable, weekdays 8:00 - 6:00, I mean, who does that? Location - The location is great, it's where the old Cove Taxi used to be right on 1st street.
