My family visited Oliviana for the first time this week. One of our friends were raving about the food and service so we decided it was time to give Oliviana a try. We are so impressed. First of all our server, she was amazing. Her name was Ashleigh. She brought fruits for my kids as well as bread to keep them occupied before the food came. When the kids started to get a bit fussy, Ashleigh came right over and let them hold one of her flashlight pens. That kept them busy and occupied the rest of the evening. The kids menu had a great variety and I loved that the drinks were included in the low $5 price. We ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they were delicious. Ashleigh knew to keep the hot plate well away from the kids. I hate when we go to a restaurant and the server places hot plates in front of little fingers. We asked for her favorite items on the menu and took her advice when we ordered. I got the Pork Chop and my husband tried the bacon jam pizza. OH MY GOSH, bacon jam on a pizza is amazing. We never knew. Everything was spot on, we never had to ask for a refill or extra napkins. The pizza was even good the next day when we heated it up. I cannot believe we have never been to Oliviana before. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Augusta. The hospitality is beyond words. We will ask for Ashleigh every time we go in. She was friendly, attentive and even let our kids keep her pen. Oliviana gets 5 stars and we will absolutely go back. read more

What has happened to this establishment? We used to expect both excellent service and food. We visited last week and didn't receive either. Our server had NO idea what anything on the menu was and couldn't describe the entrees to us. My wife asked for a pearl onion for her martini. The waitress came back and said the manager told her they have red onion slices available. Red onion slices, What? Our appetizer was horrible. We ordered the nachos, the waitress did not tell us black olives were on the dish, even though we asked. That had to be returned to the kitchen and I heard one of the chefs curse and get upset they had to remake it. They have an open kitchen, we can hear everything. Our entrees were okay but nothing too exciting. The dolce spicey pizza was the only thing that saved our experience. We heard the waitresses talking to the kitchen about a party they were going to attend and how messed up they are all going to get. Their attention was clearly on that. We will NEVER return. Normally a manager comes and checks on us, I was really hoping someone would have come by our table to check on us so I could have told them about our horrible evening out. read more

I took my wife and family out last night to a wonderful dinner at Oliviana. Upon arrival, we were told that the kitchen is taking longer than normal due to being so crowded. We understood, and stood to the side to wait for our table. During that short 5 to 10 minute wait we watched a lady yell at not only the person in charge of sitting people, she yelled and pointed repeatedly in the manager's face. We were all kind of taken back by her actions. The young woman who you can tell was already exhausted, looked so upset. We fully expected to wait when we came out for dinner that night. The service after we were seated was amazing. Yes, we had to wait a while for our food but it was worth it. Everything tasted wonderful and our ribeye was the best I've ever had. My wife loved her meal as well. She got the salmon. Both the manager and the girl up front handled that situation way better than I would have. We will definitely go back! read more

I went to Oliviana Thursday evening with some work friends. We got sat very quickly and was greeted within a few minutes of sitting. Our server was excellent. He was a young man, I believe his name was Jacob. He knew the menu well and helped with any questions the table had. We were pleased to see that Oliviana hosts a free wine tasting on Thursday evening. My previous bartender, whom we asked for upon arriving,was doing the wine tasting. Ashley informed us of all the nice wines and gave us samples. She is one of the most personable people I have met while visiting Augusta. It was a great way to pass the time between appetizers and the meal. Everything came to the table at a reasonable amount of time. I ordered the Pasta Vongole and it was exquisite. I dined here while ago and I was impressed with the quaint decor. I was not quick to judge on the lack of alcoholic Cochran and authentic Italian selections of wines... After all this is a small town. But the attitudes of the employees.....I was both insulted and yet felt like I should feel sorry for them if their job was that terrible. Either way I shared a pasta Alfredo dish with my partner and was not impressed with the servers and those who seemed managers or lead workers behavior. Did they forget I was there? No. Tell our smiles from those o tried to get attention from. Maybe it's another place for people to name or at work instead of providing service. Sorry but. I give this. I came in on a Wednesday with a group of girlfriends. They have a great half off wine special. Upon sitting, we were greeted right away with a friendly smile. We were told about the specials and were even brought waters before even asking for any. We had to sit at the bar because they were full. I didn't want to at first but I am glad we did. Ashley was the bartender and she was so friendly. She poured our wine for us when it got empty and had our plates cleared before we could blink. We were blown away by the hospitality at the bar and will never once doubt sitting there and ordering our meals again. If you want a good drink and a warm smile, go ask for Ashley. read more

We had a wonderful evening at Oliviana. Food came out quickly and everything was delicious. My mom got the Penne Vodka, they had run out of shrimp so we got chicken instead. I ordered the marsala and my children split a pizza. We enjoyed watching the chef toss the pizzas in front of us. Our waitress, Olivia was wonderful and we had several people refill our glasses. The manager came by and checked on us at the end of the meal. We liked how she interacted with all the guests. It was a wonderful dinner. We will be back again soon. read more

So my review was placed in the not recommended section for some reason,Fishy. I still stand by my opinion, the wait staff and young managers need to be friendly and professional when guests are around. I even heard the manager belittle the servers across the restaurant about a simple phone call. Plus the service was lacking and may I say rude? It all started with an hour wait in a half empty restaurant...had to ask for another glass of red because I was served in a filthy glass...waitress was distracted with other duties, not very pleasant, Oh, and during lunch don't expect a bartender before nightfall to tend service. We were seated promptly with a great view of the open kitchen and the chefs. The mussels were abundant in a lovely marinara would we absorbed with their delicious bread. The chef provided a complimentary appetizers of wings which were so wonderful. The wait staff was pleasant and attentive. The calamari was lightly fried with a great garlic aioli and marinara. Horrible experience. The staff was polite but the food was not anything to beat about. When I went to speak with the manager Victoria she was no where to be found. I eventually got to to find another manager named Stacy I believe after waiting an hour. They were very unprofessional and they ruffling blamed the staff for all my complaints. I went to Oliviana's for dinner and really liked it. The bruschetta pomodoro was fresh and tasty, and the carbonara was creamy and delicious. The place looks cool and has a nice vibe that makes you feel comfortable. The manager was super welcoming and made us feel at home. Poor service. The wait staff needs to be more about the guests and not worried about socialization. During the day the bar is never tended to when there are patrons that's waiting. Tried the bruschetta and had the carne pizza at lunch time. The GM made me an apple vodka drink since they were out of peach and it was really good. His customer service skills and conversation were very pleasant. Food was great. Not a bad price and fresh ingredients on the pizza! Will be back. read more

The service awesome. The manager on duty, I believe her name was Tiffany was amazing and helpful. My server Mary was very knowledgeable of the menu, was polite and very attentive. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I would highly recommend coming for sure. read more

Erin B was our server. She was very attentive, polite and prompt. The food here is always consistently good for lunch or dinner. The pizza is especially good coming out of the wood fired oven. My only regret is they do not serve fresh bread at lunch. read more
