Decent Spanish food here. Its a lounge so it gets lit at night. We went in around 6 PM for a quick dinner. The DJ was blasting music while people were at the bar having beers and enjoying themselves. The crowd that day was over 40+ there but Overall decent food with a basic noisy lounge vibe. We ordered the Steak & Onions w| white rice, and beans. And the Chuleta with tostones. The Steak was a bit Chewy but the Chuletas were great. Service was good just took a little longer for the food to come out. I probably would return just for the chuletas. LOL read more

I came for a birthday party. I came at about 12:30am on Friday and it was pretty packed. They only check for ID nothing else. I element to order a drink and it was only one bartender and she wasn't attentive at all. So I went here with my girls and we all went in our ugly sweaters to start off the holidays.....I went to this spot maybe last year and it was so horrible it was not even worth writing a review however this time around I was very surprised by a few changes.... They were more than willing and able to accommodate at group of 42 women on a Saturday night.....they offered food platters for the large group of only $40 per platter and $30 pitcher of sangria that was actually strong and worth mentioning........I had several drinks and all were strong and ranged from 10 to 12 bucks... ...they also had $20 cash hookah....they also now accept debit and credit cards on tabs of $30 or more whereas before this was a cash only spot. There are only 2 unisex stand alone bathrooms in which the locks do not work.....the DJ plays a great mix of Latin....old school....and trap music...the crowd itself seem to be 30 plus....and there was no dress code.. This place has changed and I like the changes ....I will be going back...and next time I plan on ordering from the menu so I can update.... What can i say .. i slept on this place . The food was absolutely amazzingggg! Decided today to finally go check this place out. For starters the AC was good . I was welcomed by the beautiful bartender , her name was morena . From the beginning to end she made me feel at home. Venue was clean and neat. Good music . Couple of locals accompanied me at the bar very friendly. I ordered a choufan ( hope i spelled it right lol) and my god finger licking good! Beware if you order this be hungry because it's like a serving of three people and it comes with Totones and mojito. It was simple delicious! The hype is real . So, during this time, I want to say, thank you for being open, and for curbside pick up, Uber eats, and the convenience of being able to order without being in contact with people. Before COVID, I used to enjoy coming here, and I enjoyed the food most of all. I usually order a steak empanada with rice/beans. I feel like during this time, when you are not allowing people inside, you should pay extra special attention to the food, how it tastes, how it's presented. I have ordered twice from you in one month, and I have been greatly disappointed. I never heard of anyone putting pieces of celery in watery beans. The beans that came with my rice looked like they had been placed in some water, not even heated up, or cooked properly - just literally a can of water, with no tomato sauce, sazon, no seasonings whatsoever. Just celery. The Empanadas had dry chicken, and hardly any cheese. The steak was burnt. Looked like it was leftover from the day prior. I really hope this is not the case. Again, I will say, now is not the time to be falling off your game, because there is not much you can go on - you can't have people inside, and getting them so drunk that they don't know their left from their right. It's so ok place, the drinks are semi expensive very basic, crowd is cool, Dj playing to much hip hop on a Latin crowd, that's like a rap concert on a church. Hood rats in the house, they should have more variety of music, base on cultural background, waitresses should attend more to the customers, place looks decent for a bar, they have hookah, but again it's a neighborhood bar, I would go again but during the weekend just to see the change of crowd. read more

This place has gotten beyond ghetto. The food sucks. I ordered mozzarella sticks and they were not cook all the way through. It gets packed way past capacity. The black bouncer there will try and recharge you to re-enter. I went out for a cigarette smoke and came back and he tried to charge me again. I had to tell him off. I just left this place a few minutes ago and I am furious! Please listen. Me and my sister initially thought they had outdoor seating but there was no music or chairs outside when we got there. So we immediately went in and gave the "manager" our IDs and vaccination cards(I had my dog in my bag not hiding him) He sat us down, 10 minutes later he came to the table and told us he didn't know I had a dog with me, he asked me if my dog was a service dog and can he see the card. I told him yes my dog was a service dog and I didn't have my card with me(being that they usually dont require you to show proof) He then told me rudely that he cant service me without the card for my dog. I then asked if we can sit outside and he said yes. I asked him to speak to another manager above him and he told me he is the only manager that there is noone above him. Which was wierd because I know there is usually another manager. I then waited about 5 minutes for them to set up the table. I then asked for the managers name and email and he told me he will bring it to my table outside . Me and my sister now go outside and sit at the table. An employee comes out to wipe down the table and then I asked him if there was another manager and he then told me to ask the manager inside if they had another manager, he then revelead that they have an owner. Now I ask another employee which I think was the waiter about the owner, she started to cut me off, she refused to give me any information or at least call their other manager to tell them they had an issue. I then asked both employees to please send the manager out that i had previously spoken to because I wanted to sort things out. Me and my sister waited at the table outside for 35 minutes patiently thinking we were going to be able to speak to the manager and then order. We then went to the door and immediately the security guard that we didnt see earlier told us we couldnt come in. Automatically he was loud and rude and we were so confused. I told him Ive been waiting outside for 30 minutes to order and to speak to a manager and he told me I have to just sit and wait until another manager comes. He tells me to wait . Long story short he then tells me the manager that I spoke with earlier left for the night and he told him to not let us in. I was furious. I told him that we still wanted to eat outdoor and he didnt care he said the manager told us we cant eat there. He was screaming at us, he clapped his hands in my face, he kept walking away from me laughing, then he started eating chicken in my face. I was so frustrated I started to cry! Dont come here! I love Olivia's. Go there on a regular and I decided to through my 30th there. Catered for my family and later did bottle service for my friends. THE SERVICE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS. No one cleaned tables. There was a trash bag tied to a table for our trash!!!! Like where's the trash can. Our waitress said she would take care of us and was no where to be found most of the night. Then when addressed, there was a terrible attitude given to people. How would u expect anything more when you go to a whole in the wall on a corner in the Bronx???? I went for happy hour so the drinks were $5 and the hookah's were $10. The drinks are amazing, the food is even better. I went last night (2/10) to celebrate a friend birthday. The bouncer stopped us right at the door to tell us they were over capacity. We waited by the door to see if we still had a chance to get in. We asked the bouncer if he can get the birthday girl and he told us that we can call her. While waiting by the front door, more people left. Then three girls and two guys were trying to get in as well. I guess you have to be Hispanic or be a regular to get in after the place is over capacity..... We asked the bouncer how come those people were able to enter before us, he said the "owner" said so. The birthday girl came to the front to ask if we can get in and he still wasn't budging. After the second set of people went in after that is when we were allowed to enter. We had to pay a cover charge and the others didn't. The lounge was closing in a hour and we were standing outside for a half hour. Not including looking for parking for a half hour. I would NOT recommend this place at ALL. I have never been mistreated in my whole life. I am appalled of this type of prejudice. read more

So I order take out the other day, the beans were cold and they only filled up the cup of beans half way (the woman behind the bar got angry when I told her) they did not fill up the container that the rice comes in so basically the rice looked like it had already been picked on, the steak came in a container that was halfway open and the juices spilled all over the bag AND when I get home (which is across the street) to eat the rest of my food it was ice cold as if it just came out of the fridge! We had been having horrible service at Isla Verde across the street on various days and I walked out of Isla Verde and went across the street. Best decision ever. We ordered the breaded steak and boneless chicken chunks. They came with a garlic sauce and spicy tomato sauce. Best breaded steak of my life. Sauce was from heaven. And our bartender is an attentive loving sweetheart. ALWAYS keeping an eye out for her customers. We always tip her 25% due to her going above and beyond. Love food it's GREAT! People friendly place Mature crowd! I could not BELIEVE what I read. Must be a mistake I've gone there since they open and attended different events from comedy night to there Halloween party and I love there live bands. Just two weeks ago I attended a wedding dinner their the set up was beautiful and of course food GREAT! Family friendly place not far from work, my co workers are regulars. I seem to get a stomach virus every time I eat here. Last time it was the chicken, this time it was the beef. There's no winning in this place. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious going down but it wasn't so good coming up when I got home. Not to mention it took twenty two minutes for my two pastellitos to reach my table on a vacant wednesday night, but I guess you could say the drinks were good, atleast once you got the bartenders attention when she finished gossiping with the other staff. I tried getting the bartenders attention for atleast 6 minutes before she finished her laugh filled conversation and turned around to notice me. Not to mention that half of the bartending staff barely spoke English. Oh and for the authentic Hispanic cuisine and atmosphere. You'd probably have better luck at Taco Bell. Atleast at Taco Bell they don't blast hit drake songs on the speakers and the air isn't filled with the abnoxious smell of hookah. I'm beginning to hate this place with a passion not only for the two stomach viruses I have obtained, but the terrible service, the terrible bartenders, the far from Latin music, and especially the thug crowd that seem to be attracted to this place. I've even heard of multiple fights within the establishment and also a stabbing. After dark, this place is not for families, this place is not for mature adults, this place is simply a place to go get drunk and dance to hit trap songs.
