I've stopped by there a bunch of times to grab a few things I needed, but it wasn't until I recently shopped there with my children in tow that I noticed how easy it is to find things (and, in the once instance when I couldn't find what I needed, the manager (Cory, maybe?) was very helpful and was also kind to my children). Overall, a good spot, and the best dollar store-type shop in the area, in my opinion.

The one woman that works there is so unpleasant it's unfortunate. Every time I go in it truly seems that she doesn't want to be there. Understaffed or not, there is no reason to be unpleasant to people for no reason. Today I purchased several items, enough to need a bag. The woman said they had no plastic bags available, while I saw a box of paper bags behind her. (I understand they are trying to save bags but I genuinely needed one.) I asked her very nicely if I could have one of the paper bags and she told me "for large orders only" and didn't apologize or anything. She just stood there leaning on the counter. So I just had to grab two full arms of items and walk out off the store. I understand that everyone isn't happy all of the time and people have rough days but she is unhappy and frustrated for seemingly no reason.

Imagine a Dollar Tree and a Walmart hybrid, and you've pretty much got a Big Lots. Unfortunately…read morethough, the items that the Dollar Tree would carry are much less expensive at Dollar Tree, and the items you'd find at Walmart are cheaper at Walmart. So, sure the stuff's all under one roof, but that's about it. I went looking for a cheap recliner, and found a few, but after asking an associate about delivery, I was told that their delivery is basically them giving you a phone number. The cost (she thinks) is about $100, and you work out all of the arrangements with the delivery people. This, to me, is like being shown a pile of lumber, and being told it'll be a really nice house, once you get it all on site and put it together. No thanks. To summarize: In my opinion, there's absolutely no good reason to visit Big Lots, as other stores provide more for less.

"It will take 7-10 days", this is their standard bull**** explanation. July goes by, August, Septembe, October... it had been so long we kind of forgot about it. We began calling, emailing customer service back in November. Numerous calls, emails, nothing. I finally reached out to them on 1/4 on Twitter and asked where the refund was. Again, this isn't $5-10, this was almost $200. They researched and said it would be refunded in 7-10 (that's their favorite numbers) days. No expediting, no we will fedex it to you because we F'd up and would like to keep your business, nope... We will send it snail mail. 2 weeks later it's still not here. Oh, when I asked about them doing something to compensate for their mistake they sent me a 25% off coupon that can't be used on 90% of stuff in the store. Customer service for these clowns must be run by Mrs. Lippy's 3rd Grade History class. Why do we have to do so much legwork to get you to fix something you totally screwed up?? Unless you hate yourself, don't shop here.

I stand by some of the specifics I mentioned, but now, about a dozen visits later, I understood where I was wrong, and *how* Grocery Outlet is a regular money saving stop for me now. One thing I touched on in the original review was comparison pricing against Walmart. I still believe that in about half the cases, if something Grocery Outlet has is also available at Walmart, it'll be cheaper at Walmart. But, conversely, about half the items will be cheaper at Grocery Outlet. It's also true that some products are closer to their "best by" date at Grocery Outlet, but that almost always results in it being drastically cheaper. I think the methodology to use when visiting Grocery Outlet, is to make it your *first* stop, with the understanding that you will be picking up select items there, and then also stopping somewhere else (yes - the savings are big enough to justify the cost of driving elsewhere). I now know the items that are regularly less expensive at Grocery Outlet, and I also know that there are going to be fantastic deals on spontaneous discoveries that will easily substitute for something that will be more expensive elsewhere. For example, frozen pizza, frozen meals, and snacks, are now things I buy exclusively at Grocery Outlet. The store is well maintained, more so than I first reported, and the employees are friendly and helpful - especially once you get to know them. And lastly, but no less important, you're supporting a family operated business. Now, I am a regular and happy shopper at Grocery Outlet.

Well, let's just say I'm still driving to Warminster, because the Jamison Grocery Outlet is awful. Where to begin? The store is so uninviting. The employess are not friendly at all and the shelves are bare. Also, they do not carry everything Warminster does and on certain items, their prices are higher than Warminster. I took my elderly mother to the Jamison store and the cashier rang up one item several times. I pointed it out to her, to which she told me to, "calm the f**k down". This is the type of employee you will find here. I realize the stores have different owners, but the Jamison management needs to go to Warminster and see how a successful store is run.

Very clean and easy to navigate a lot larger than the other Grocery Outlet I go to in Warminster which can get cramped sometimes. I do think this location has more "brand name" of things I actually want to buy, however with that being said their prices are not that cheap. Some items - yes incredibly cheap. But seeing as they have a lot more permanent stock and better brands the prices really aren't that much cheaper compared to other stores.
