One clerk in particular I called on the phone and her name is (McKenna) and I told her I wanted the old farmers almanac 2025 box calendar. When I got there, she had three different ones and I picked the one that I wanted. I posted a picture of it. The store is awesome and I always meet interesting people as I just did now, I met an artist that specializes in a number of things, but when I said cats, she gave me her card because she does portraits of pets. I am going to be doing business with her get yourself over the Books A Million, a.k.a. BAM and enjoy a cup of coffee and buy a book or read a book plenty of room to do that and meet interesting people.

We spent time perusing the stacks, where he found just what he was looking for and I rekindled my love for Mercedes Lackey and her fantasy series. I love the way a bookstore smells and BAM is no different. One thing that they have above the other retail sellers? They take used books, including school books. YES! They're a new and used seller, how's that? They also have a huge selection of comics and the like.

Definitely have everything a new collector might want but may not have the deep cuts a long-time collector (like me) would be looking to purchase. Prices - a tad high. But I expected that considering I'm in a metropolitan area. Their rent is probably super high, but I don't mind paying an extra $2-3 per book to keep an independent store open. Regarding those deep cuts: - I did find some authors that I think are often overlooked, including Richard K. Morgan, Chuck Tingle, and Ann Leckie. - I was saddened to see that there was no Ronald Malfi in stock, which I find to be a mainstay in horror. - There was no Between the Buried and Me vinyl in stock, which saddens me due to concert tonight (that's why I drove all the way to this coast). We bought an entire basket of books for around $10 and I don't feel too bad when my 2 year old accidentally rips a book at home anymore. I really love what they're doing here and hope they continue doing well. I'd love to see them start a little coffee shop inside one day as I think that would really amp up sales and enjoyment.

Not only is this place cool they have serious history in there on those shelves. They have books from the early 1900s, 1800's and I think late 1700s too if I'm not mistaken. Just seeing them and being able to touch them is such a cool experience, i was blown away . Definitely go show some support and pick up some books and help support this awesome business.

It's 100% volunteer, so make sure you call ahead or head there early, just in case they're not fully staffed.
