They have stepped up their game in putting out stock at least on this visit I noticed. The staff is always friendly even when over whelmed (register lines backed up or difficult customers). I always find something I need but sometimes they do not have the best deals. Like their Tide buy out....Dollar General is cheaper on a daily basis but their zip lock prices are great. Love looking thru their spices for new ones. They have THE BEST PRICES AND SELECTION! This Ollie's also has an AMAZING book section. I'm finding that certain Ollie's have their own great selections of certain things. This one is books, the one on Pleasant Hill in Duluth has great bed sets and towels and the one in Athens rugs and toys! The one in Snellville is closest to my home so I go there regularly and boy am I happy I did bc one of my sacks somehow didn't make it in my cart! I called when I got home and they had it behind the register so going back today to pick it up! This is one of my favorite stores. read more

I really try to avoid going to Ollie's for anything. The Snellville location has the worst service of any retail store I've ever shopped at. It doesn't matter what day of the week or what time of the day, there has always been long lines and only 1-2 very slow cashiers. I've never seen the manager come and get on a register to help out in reducing the lines. Today was no different. Long wait to checkout, 2 cashiers. The manager was called up front to change the register tape for one cashier when the other left her register with customers still in line to go to the restroom. The manager finished changing the register tape and instead on getting on the register vacated by the cashier he looks over at the line then walks away. Eventually she returns, but this is just poor customer service and management. I usually drive further and pay more money for the same or a similar product just to avoid Ollie's. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Three lines for three registers and the lady on #4 was treating us like children trying to make us form ONE line. She refused to check me out and walked away from register. The people behind me in line were NOT happy. She wasted 20 minutes telling us to form one line instead of checking customers out. I got into line one. She announces again everyone get in line one. She then went back to register #4 and called for the next customer in line which was me! She very rudely said to me " I'm sorry if you don't like our store policy. I replied " well it's inefficient, and you lost five customers when you made that announcement". I just left this store and I'm typing this review from my car. According to my receipt, my cashier was Brieana. I was purchasing a bunch of children's books as last minute Christmas gifts. One of the books didn't have the orange Ollies sticker/barcode on it (but the book itself did have a barcode). She asked if I saw another one on the shelf. No, I didn't. She didn't say anything. So I took it upon myself to go back to the book section--because obviously she wasn't going to--to see if I could find the same book with a sticker. The area was an absolute wreck and I couldn't find it. I went back to her and said I couldn't find one. She pulled the book out of my bag and set it to the side and told me my total. I asked if they utilize a generic barcode like other stores do when they run into this problem. She said no. I mean, zero effort or attempt to help me, a paying customer. It was just a really poor experience. I'm trying to spend money in this store and a simple barcode makes that impossible. Clearly someone needs some customer service training. read more

I was very disappointed after taking time to walk throughout the entire store. I found that the prices are not any cheaper than a Big Lots or Walmart. there were several displays of products that had confusing or no pricing. the area I found to be most confusing is where they have their rugs. Only those runs along the wall have prices. The majority of the rugs that are on tables have no tags or signs whatsoever. I am not sure if I will be returning because I really didn't find anything of Interest. However I will say that the employees were very nice. read more

The store looked great. They had exactly what I wanted. It all fell apart when it came to the customer service. Ollie's definitely needs to train their young nighttime cashiers in how to give better customer service! No smile. No personality. Just " blah" . She didn't even bother to check with the manager person to see if he could give her enough change for the bill I had. I'll only go during the day from now on. read more

I love stores like this as they have a little bit of this and that for great prices. I stumbled upon this store and fell in love. I found my children some great books, toys, cool stuff like falcon decor (napkins, paper cups etc.) super cheap. Socks, candy crush bed sheets for kids, even got a Bissell carpet cleaning machine out of there and it was well worth it. I mainly go for bedsheets and whatever else Nick nacks I can find. Store can be a little dirty but I don't expect much, it's basically a liquidation store everything is cheap, so you know the workers aren't getting paid much. Only use the bathroom here if you absolutely have to lol. I still love the store and would say go check it out they have a lot of amazing things for great prices!! read more

While I really like the wide selection of stock and the cheap prices, I wasn't really impressed with this store. I don't think it had much more to offer than Big Lots and similar stores. When I visited, it was pretty crowded and hard to weave in and out of the aisles to look at things. The interior design of the store screamed "cheap" - in a bad way - and was a little dirty. I actually spotted a huge dead cockroach right underneath the candy bar display as I was waiting in line to check out. If cheap stuff is your thing, by all means, check it out, but personally, this isn't the type of store I'd enjoy shopping at. I'd be happier paying a few bucks more somewhere else. read more

However I have never found anything very cheap in this store, I've actually seen some of the same stuff cheaper at Walmart. Went when they first opened scored some super deals ! There were TONS of people to help since they just opened . Went back after the hubbub died and found far fewer people to help you but those that were there had great customer skills. The store can be chaotic and if you see something you want you better buy it then as these are close outs and they move pretty fast.
