I had a great experience here. I needed to have my eyes evaluated for a new prescription as it has been a while since I got new glasses. The entire process was easy and fast. The exam was thorough, Dr. Goshinska is awesome and explained every test that she conducted. After a thorough evaluation, she made my prescription recommendations and gave me two options (a progressive lens, or just an update to my current prescription.) As I am starting to have trouble seeing things up-close too, I chose the progressive. I did not purchase new frames here; I kept my originals. The next step in the process is that they take measurements of your line of vision and eye, so that they know how to build the lenses. The optometrist who did this was also awesome. Fun to talk to. Next, they order the new lenses and they take about a week to come in. I did not have to leave my glasses there. Instead, they called me to let me know when the lenses were ready, so I dropped off my frames to have the new lenses put in. This is the awesome part! I dropped them off on a Friday eve so that I would be without my glasses for a minimal number of my work days. (I use them for the computer.) Imagine my pleasant surprise when I found that the glasses would be turned around for me by Saturday! I picked them up the NEXT DAY less than 24hrs later! I had a terrible experience with Visionworks Lakewood where it took over a week so i was gun shy... but this was amazing. The exam was $49 with my insurance and my new lenses around $400. (Again, did not purchase new frames.) They do charge you $45 for using your own glasses which is lame, but what can I do. I had a great experience and I will be back in a year! read more

Okay so after waiting 17 days to finally pick up my prescription, after being initially quoted the standard 14 days, the person at the counter (Dave?) made no attempt to make things right for the inconvenience of having to wait the additional time, instead just made light of the situation. Noticed the most recent review only took them 7 days to receive their prescription. What gives? (Dave?) needs to understand when a customer calls not once but twice to find out if their glasses are ready, customer service has been neglected, and when they finally arrive past the quoted timeframe and no attempt to make it right, not even an apology, learn some empathy. read more

The manager is the worst! Do not go here! I went today Monday to cancel the purchase of frames and lenses that I purchased Saturday and told the manager I just wanted to upgrade my lenses to my old glasses and spent an hour there the manager is asking me the same questions over and over and got nothing resolved but the refund. Supposedly he's looking at my chart but looking at someone else's paperwork and then says i already used my benefits for the year and while on the phone with my insurance he realizes he is in someone else's chart because he says Allison and my name is Alma and then says oh your insurance must have taken off the authorization and literally my insurance rep is stating he didnt do anything on his end. He then says my glasses may get stolen at the lab so I need to sign a waiver and that the authorization he was looking at was from 2016!! When he was cancelling the original order he asked me do you want transition lens'? are you sure? this is costing us money because you cant make up your mind and that the lab already started making my lenses but literally on the phone this morning he said he didnt place the order! Worst experience in my life! Update Tuesday I found out said manager his name is Dave btw instead of giving me a refund for $730 he charged me $730 again!! Then has the audacity to call me to ask how he can make it right? No thank you I want nothing to do with him the doctor on the other hand she was great! I showed up about 15 minutes early for my appointment. Just browsing because the three people in there were all busy. One asked me if I was picking up and I told him I had an appointment. He then took a phone call and helped someone who came in after I did with a glasses pickup before giving me paperwork. Then I got to listen to one of the employees and a customer yell back and forth with each other in the middle of the store. The girl who did the pictures left the table too high and then acted annoyed when I told her I'd rather stand if she wasn't gonna lower it to a comfortable level. The doctor I normally see (and booked) wasn't here. Which is a shame because they're fantastic. My appointment was with a temp or floater. He was weird and didn't really address concerns I had about the imaging side of things. Overall the staff was really rude to their customers on the phone and in store. Poor customer service. If you're at all outside of the box, the employees are rude and poorly trained. Working with the staff was like trying to buy Life insurance. They start you off with the most expensive options and then become judgmental when your budget isn't to their expectations. Good morning! Today at 9:30am, my family and I went into the Pearl Vision at 1285 E 1st Ave, Ste D, Broomfield CO 80020. We had three appointments scheduled for 9:30am, 10am, and 10:30am. We walked in 5 minutes before 9:30am and was greeted by two women who were polite; however, they were very vocal in the front portion of the business, within earshot of me, my wife, and our daughter, discussing how unhappy they were with a patient who was trying to cancel an appointment. The patient wasn't nice via their emails or phone calls, but I shouldn't know that. The front office team felt the need to discuss with each other how they felt about the patient. Then a gentleman walked in that clearly worked there and they started talking about someone's personal patient info. I found out that one of your patients has allergies and that they needed to know that before they were to do the eye exam. The doctor who was scheduled to do me and my family's eye exams walked in the door of the business at 9:52 am on the phone. She came back to the front to discuss insurance information with the front office women before she approached us and told us "lets go." She apologized in the back room for her lateness and then asked if we wanted to know the funny story as to why she was late. I clearly said no and she proceeded to tell us that her mother has dementia and that two years ago she killed her husbands dog. At that point, I turned to the doctor and told her that this appointment was canceled and we left. In my entire life I have never been treated with such disrespect from a healthcare provider. Especially when I am the one paying for a service from them. We were even told from the front office women that this is normal behavior for her and she only shows up to her appointments after she has been called, then she leaves her home. This is beyond unacceptable. Your store has great reviews, but none of those reviews match the store atmosphere, so that just shows me that those people that work there are the ones posting false reviews about the company. I highly recommend you take a look at your store, because they are definitely not far from being sued for HIPAA and PHI lawsuits at this point. read more

I wish I would've read the reviews before making an appointment for my yearly eye exam. Upon check-in, the floor staff was helpful and pleasant, I completed their paperwork and indicated that I DID NOT want my eyes dilated. Dr. Alisha Goshinska Harris then called me back to be seen. Upon the initial introduction, she was pleasant and I provided her with my previous Rx for glasses and sat in her chair. She told me that I have severe dry eye (nothing new), but then said she cannot treat me because I carry Kaiser for health insurance and I need to follow-up with my medical provider. I understand that a follow-up with Kaiser was necessary, but I then asked her if she can write me a script for eye drops (this has happened before with my previous eye doctor and they actually called Kaiser's pharmacy and placed my Rx directly with them). Her response to asking for an Rx for drops, she told me that she "hates" working with Kaiser and I can just use an OTC tears. I understand that I could not get another Rx for glasses or contacts until my dry eye clears up, but she was quick to tell me that I need to make another appointment and I will have to pay out of pocket because I just used my annual eye exam for my visit with her. She then goes on and on how terrible Kaiser is and I told her, that I have had Kaiser for years and I love it! As she was talking to me about Kaiser, she placed what I thought were drops for my dry eye - and after she provided me with a tissue to dab my eyes, I realized that she just dilated my eyes! UGH!! She didn't even read my chart! I left frustrated that I paid my co-pay and received nothing from her and when I left, I had to sit in my car for 1.5 hours because I couldn't drive home because I couldn't see! I would never go back again! Other doctors from this facility may be awesome, but not Dr. Alisha Goshinska Harris!! read more

Dr Goshinkska and the techs that work the floor are extremely nice. The problem I have with them is the insurance and followup paperwork for rebates. These guys give no thought to the amount of cash you are putting out, or assist you in anyway to get the proper paperwork to get filed to insurance. I have driven there twice (which is no joy because of the chronic construction, and called multiple times. Promised emails to provide the proper documentation and nothing). I'm generally weary of "chain" businesses like this because I know the service can vary greatly from one place to another. Having said that, I ve never been to a vision care place as good as Pearle Vision in Broomfield. When I moved to the area, I needed to find a good place to get thorough eye care and I found that in Dr. Goshinska. She's friendly and takes the time to explain and discuss any issues I'm having. The rest of the staff at Pearle VIsion are so friendly and easy to work with. Chris, Aaron and Azra are some of the most helpful people I've ever met. I returned to Pearl Vision after having a nice experience with Dr. Goshinska (who has since left the practice) about a year and a half ago. I had scheduled a 3:30pm appointment on Friday with Dr. Kaitlin Fosse, and was eagerly anticipating it as I'd been operating without contact lenses for about two weeks due to a busy work schedule. I ended up unfortunately getting to the office 6 minutes late, and found a bit of a line. I waited and saw who I thought was Dr. Fosse standing by her office looking slightly irritated. The front desk person finally got to me and I apologized for being late for my appointment. He then turned to Dr. Fosse who said, without looking at me and quite rudely, that her 4pm appointment was already there. Her 4pm appointment, who was sitting right behind us, then said very nicely that she could wait. However, Dr. Fosse ignored her, continuing to wear an irritable expression, and the front desk person asked if I wanted to reschedule. Finding the rudeness of the doctor intolerable, I decided to leave. Had she simply addressed me as a human and told me that she could not see me since I was too late, I would not have minded, but I found her attitude very off-putting, and will be seeking assistance elsewhere. read more

The on site optometrist is very conscientious and has taken the time to help me with various contact lens prescriptions. I wanted to revisit my experiences with ALISHA GOSHINSKA as it's been a year since I wrote about my initial exam with her. In the last year I've had the pleasure of seeing Alisha multiple times, sadly it's because I've had some issues with my eyes. Without going into too much detail I can state that Alisha has provided very thorough examinations on both the initial visit for this problem as well as the follow up visits. It has been my experience that she's incredibly professional, provides a wide range of context for educational purposes, most importantly is her strong desire to get to a resolution as soon as possible. Alisha had recommended that I see another doctor (not related to optometry) to confirm a diagnosis. I did as she recommended and Alisha was correct in her professional opinion around the adjunctive issue. With all that said, I can strongly recommend her if you are looking for a bright, highly professional, patient, funny, and educational eye doctor who wants the best for your eye care. read more

I just wanted to add that I just picked up my two pairs of glasses. The woman who I got them from wasn't quite as awesome as the others but she was nice. She didn't take any time to adjust them or even touch them when they were on my head (I've been wearing glasses for 24 years... I know how this works, folks). They are a little tight and so I am going to have them adjusted. BUT I am a little freaked out about Pearle Vision in general (not specifically this one). I read the reviews about them on a consumer reports website and it appears that many people (mainly Midwest and southern regions) have had lenses from PV fracture. After 2 or 3 times they have to start paying to replace and have had some crummy service. So that makes me a bit nervous but I will keep my Yelpers updated on that. read more

Dr. Goshinska is very thorough. I have been going to the same 2 eye doctors over the past 15 years and now I know I was missing out on alot of information. Alisha takes the time to explain things and educate you. She is very focused on making sure you can see the best you can and with the most comfort. At my last eye doctor they charged me for the sample contact lenses but Dr. Goshinska does not. I have tried about 4 pair of multi focal lenses and found one that works. No charge either for the extra visits after trying lenses. I would highly recommend her!! The front desk staff at Pearle Vision in Broomfield, could improve on their professionalism. It may be just me, but I like to be acknowledged when I come in instead of listening to 2 co-workers talking back and forth. Also, when the person is working on my glasses, I would like them to focus and not be taking calls and talking to co-workers about their weekend. Another good thing about this location is it is easy to get an appointment without waiting more than a few days. read more

7 Weeks since glasses ordered, and still no glasses. No communication from them. I have had to initiate any follow-up on where the glasses are and what the status is. The bad part, EVRY time I call, "I need to get back" or "held up in customs" or some other lame excuse. Hard to understand the "Service" aspect when there absolutely is NONE. Everyone is very professional. They have the best selection of frames and most importantly , the best selection of different lenses. They will explain everything to you in detail. I went to Pearle Vision to renew my expired contact prescription. However, they refused to sell me contacts and give me my prescription despite paying for it, $149. This is a blatant violation of FTC consumer protection regulations. By law, they are required to give patients their prescription for glasses and contacts after the examination. I decided to dispute the charge with my bank and file a complaint with the state medical board as well as the FTC. Needless to say, I will never go back. They attempted to sell me glasses after refusing to give me the contact prescription I paid for -- we walked out because of how aggressive the selling tactics were. They kept insisting that they had "luxury brands," and that I wouldn't find better glasses anywhere else. Then, I said I wanted cheap glasses to see what the tactic was for that. The saleswoman instantly flipped, saying "I have $100 glasses," as opposed to all luxury eyewear. The sales pitch was insane and deceptive. She kept talking about how I looked which made me very uncomfortable. Luckily, we got an emergency call and had to leave; but, I was glad I walked out without purchasing anything (other than the examination, which I'll be disputing). I will take my business to an online retailer like Warby Parker and get my prescription from Dr. Olson at Costco. They provided some information about how contacts can be dangerous for your eyes, which I was already aware of, but did so in a way that makes you feel like a child talking to a teacher. She asked me stupid questions like, "What does the blood carry that's important for the body?" I replied, "oxygen" in a confused way because she asked me such a stupid question. Then she told me I was "smart" for having some basic biological knowledge. Again, refusing to give a contact prescription after examination is a violation of FTC guidelines. They didn't even give me my prescription for eyeglasses. Don't overpay and waste your time with this business -- their practices resemble those of conmen. They just called me without giving me any form of an apology, citing "miscommunication." The rep said he could e-mail me my prescription for eyeglasses and asked me to take down my review (lol). Misconduct occurred, not miscommunication. To reiterate: I went in for a contact lens prescription, and didn't receive it. By law, they must give it to me following my examination. But, the sales woman said I was going to be given a prescription for glasses, exclusively, because I wore only contacts for a year. Before that, the doctor said I wouldn't have to change my entire routine, only supplement some days with glasses instead of contacts. Fine. But, I still need my contact prescription. It's a violation of FTC guidelines to not give it to me. The doctor also mentioned how it'd be illegal for her to prescribe me contacts without purchasing glasses. This is untrue. In fact, the FTC contradicts this lie: "The doctor can't require you to pay an extra fee, buy eyeglasses or contact lenses, or sign a waiver or form." read more

I've had really great experiences here, especially with Dr. Goshinska Harris. I recently got Lasik and didn't realize that the surgeon's office themselves literally only completes the procedure, so most of my dealings were with Dr. Goshinska. I was really grateful for her expertise and for talking me through everything thoroughly. For my annual exam I usually opt out of dilation and spend the extra money on the scan they do (so worth it, if only for the cool factor). Dr. Goshinska patiently explains everything she's looking at and what it looks like if there's a problem. I feel like I used to go in and they'd say everything looks fine and send me on my way, so I appreciate the extra thoroughness. She is super knowledgable and friendly. Anyway, I'd recommend Dr. Goshinska any day! read more

I had gone to this store because they are an Oakley dealer, and have a wide selection of frames. The staff was very friendly, and helped me a lot in picking out a frame. Note: I did not buy from them. I was asking about the Oakley prescription lenses, which at the time I knew nothing about. I was told that Oakley's Rx lens technology is old and outdated because they focus on sunglasses and that Pearle Vision was years ahead. I believed them and almost bought the Pearly Vision brand lenses. SOOO glad I looked around online first! As it turns out, Oakley eyeglasses have a lot of technology in them, like OTD, HDO, 100% UV A/B/C filtering (not "some" as most are), and some of this tech comes directly from their sunglasses! They are a premium material to make lenses from, not what I was told. In addition to their lies about lenses, they are overpriced. With insurance kicking in, I would have paid $430 and have gotten poor Pearle Vision lenses. I bought elsewhere and paid $440 withOUT insurance, AND got Oakley lenses. After I get an insurance reimbursement, I'm looking at $305. That's 30% cheaper, and a better product!!! I will never return to any Pearle Vision store, as they lie to customers to sell their own brand and are overpriced. How are they even an Oakley dealer if they are telling customers Oakley lenses are inferior? read more

This week I went to Pearle Vision at 120th & Sheridan yesterday to get my glasses adjusted. The technician dropped my glasses and chipped a lens. I spoke with the manager, Esther, to see if I could get the lens replaced. She said no but did offer me a discount on lenses if I bought a new pair of glasses. I cannot afford a new pair of glasses, I just want the chipped lens replaced. Is there another Optician that can help me out? First off, the optometrist (Dr. Goshinska) was pretty cute. So that's always a win. Second, I learned more about my eyes in this eye exam than I've ever learned in my 23 years of eye check ups. They have this instrument that takes an image of your retina so you no longer have to do that dilated eye business where your eyes are sensitive and blurry afterwards. Big plus. My experience at the Pearle Vision in Broomfield was amazing. I started the visit with the optometrist on-site, who was on time, professional and helpful explaining what was going on with my vision/eyes. My vision had changed and I was in deep need of new glasses and sunglasses. The team in Broomfield was beyond helpful to assist with finding a new pair of glasses. I couldn't have had a better experience. I am not the easiest person when it comes to shopping and choosing new eye glasses was an important decision for me. I was in the store for over two hours as I was brought one pair of eye glasses after another to try on and see how they looked. Never was anyone at Broomfield impatient or annoyed by the amount of time I was making with my decision - they were truly concerned with making sure I found the perfect pair. I had a style of eye glasses I had been wearing for many years but the team provided me so many options of more "current' and "stylish" options. All the while the team gave very thoughtful feedback and opinion for me. After trying on many dozen of glasses, I found a pair of wonderful Paul Smith eye glasses that I fell in love with. I also found a pair of Oakley sun glasses that I wanted to have my prescription put into. So now for the beyond amazing service that Broomfield provided to me...I was visiting the Denver area and leaving a day after the appointment and selection of eye glasses. Normally the new lenses would be made and the Paul Smith glasses would be available a few days later. Pearle Vision Broomfield realized that I wouldn't have my new glasses for several days and while I would have been fine having them shipped to me, the team actually went above and beyond to have my glasses made later that day. Can customer service get any better than that? I don't think so! I recommend heading to the Broomfield location for your new glasses and eye exams.
