I decided to meet my sister for an early dinner and after doing some quick research we settled on Milk & Honey. Upon entering we were greater nicely by the waiter and decided to sit at the bar. They had a football game playing. The setting was classy but casual. I ordered the chicken wings and they were some of the best wings I've had. The honey adds a nice sweetness to the salty fried batter. I also ordered the catfish and grits and it was amazing. Last I ordered sweet tea which was actually sweet but not overly so. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend anyone to visit and try their food. Just have to make sure you find some good parking because it's in a strip store kind of area where other businesses are beside it and limited parking.

Happy Juneteenth! My friend really liked the wings here. I got a classic breakfast with a side of French toast without any berries. Staff were super friendly. The restaurant is smaller than I thought so I wish there were more tables but that can't be helped. I would definitely back again!

Meh experience here My biggest issue with Milk and Honey is it's a cute spot with beautiful plating, but it's set up as a take out spot -hence Express in the name. We dined there yet received plastic silverware. What a disappointment that was. Secondly, they serve mimosas in small plastic cups, yet they're advertised in champagne flutes. As for the food, the chicken and biscoff waffles were delicious. The chicken arrived fresh and was tasty. I had the award winning shrimp and grits which was good, but I wouldn't declare it award winning. The grits arrive with a cream based Creole sauce, but the sauce to grits ratio was incredibly off. The grits sopped up most of the sauce and when I asked for additional sauce, it was an upcharge. I gladly paid more because otherwise I would have been eating bland grits on its own. I just think the ratio needs to be adjusted.

Stopped in recently, decided to give it a try. Since the kitchen is in full view, I could see my meal being freshly prepared--like that. Crispy fish sandwich is right in there, although the high temperature of the battered, deep-fried catfish itself renders the soft brioche bun fairly mushy. The sammie is hard to handle however has great flavor. Cup of seafood gumbo is fantastic but wished it was larger. M & H definitely knows how to put together southern cuisine.

The service is on point. Definitely a place to go after a long day of work. Lots of delicious items to choose from. The friend chicken, greens and Mac and cheese has me wanting to come back for more. There was two pieces of chicken on my plate, but I ate one before I took a picture. So good. It's a small cozy spot and the parking lot is congested, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to eat here!

So, we came here Sunday afternoon after taking two Ls with trying to find a brunch spot that didn't have an excessive wait time and let's just say that the decision to come here did not disappoint #Milk&HoneyforTHEwin! First, let's start off with two nice to knows. The first is that this location has free parking that is proportionate to the size of the establishment. Secondly, this Milk & Honey is a little smaller than other locations, so, big/bigger parties may be a challenge to accommodate. On to the food. Let's just say, this location has made me believe that every Milk & Honey is truly NOT the same. Prior to coming here, I was a STRONG believer that Milk & Honey was overhyped. But, the food here has led me to understand what others taste when they recommend Milk & Honey. The first dish that I sampled was the chicken and biscuits and they were perfect! The biscuits were fluffy and the chicken was fried and seasoned well. This is definitely a dish I will try again (at this location). Then to the sampling of the catfish. The fried catfish had the perfect amount of seasoning and crunch, so definitely a win there. Then there was the Berry and Cream French toast which gave that sweetness we desired without adding honey/syrup. Lastly, the dish that I ordered was the Award Winning Shrimp and Grits. The portion size of this dish is massive! This can definitely be one dish that serves multiple meals, if you aren't greedy (like me) lol. The Shrimp and Grits were good, however, I would have enjoyed it more with more of that delicious sauce (which I requested and added after) and more pieces of shrimp (which added to the flavoring of the dish). Lastly, the service was really good. We were easily and quickly accommodated with all of our request. Overall, I would definitely recommend and will revisit when back in the area.

I was the mood for brunch and heard about this place. It is located in a small shopping center. The space is very intimate with two tables, a counter space or a side corner top space for seating. Decided to get a takeout order at the counter. The ordering process was smooth and I received my order within 20mins. Order: Shrimp and Grits - 4.5/5 - The sauce was delicious. Unfortunately, there were more tomatoes than shrimp. Next time, I would ask to remove the tomatoes. Definitely worth ordering again. Cheesy Hash browns -5/5 they were delicious and seasoned perfectly. Parking: Limited space in the shopping center lot. Parking is FREE!!! Reservation: not required Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The food was delicious and the portion size was just enough for leftovers( gotta love leftovers) The staff was kindly and the service was fast. I would highly recommend a visit. Tips: This space cannot accommodate large groups. It is best for a small part of 4 max only. Perfect spot for takeout or a solo visit. Parking is limited but it's FREE!!!

Not my first rodeo and definitely not my last. I love Milk & Honey & if you are ever in the DMV area it is a must try. This location is not as big as the other locations and reminds me of a cafe. The food was prepared in 20-25 mins & it was hot and fresh. Even though the location is small they still have a waiter or you can go to the front and order. The plus about this location is you do not have to worry about parking & if you know anything about DC, that's the most annoying part.

Outdoor tables will be a nice way to welcome Spring!

Another spectacular, inexpensive and simple takeout breakfast of homemade pillowy biscuits, buttery scrambled eggs and Turkey Patty sausage from Milk & Honey. It's enough for two portions and cheap at $12.00!! I arrived when they opened on a Sunday morning and they were pleasant & prompt. Gave me a few minutes to nip next door for a few fresh bagels. Please support this local gem for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

We were looking for some breakfast because we had gotten dressed to go to an event on Saturday, December 14, 2024. We happened upon this little cozy spot searching for breakfast places. This place is very small. It's not recommended for people with claustrophobia, otherwise, it's a nice place for a small family of 2, 3, or 4 to go have breakfast. Maria is a sweetheart. She's very polite, mannerable, knows the menu, made great recommendations, quickly took our order, got us beverages, and plastic ware to dine with. The cold air from the front door when customers were entering and exiting, kept going up my dress while sitting at the breakfast bar, so I asked to move and Maria gladly accommodated us. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits. He rated them high on his "Like list" of places he's compared when having this dish. Our daughter had the sweet potato waffles, cheese eggs, and turkey sausage. My child is a very picky eater and she loved it! I was surprised she finished the leftovers later on because normally she doesn't. That means a lot to our family that she didn't discard food. I ordered the Cheese and Egg Sandwich with Turkey Sausage. This dish is a bit of heaven on a plate. I'm a biscuit gal and I've been a biscuit gal all my life. This place slices the biscuits in half, tops them with the cheese eggs, and puts the tops on the side with honey butter cascading down the side of that golden brown biscuit with just enough crunch on the top with a nice soft, delectable inside. Have mercy! Lord, I could eat that every day. Highly recommended. 5 Stars.

I came on Saturday. They were flooded with online orders and the inside was packed. There was seating available outside and although it was super hectic, the waiter took care of us, apologized and was super attentive. I was surprised by the service and was extremely appreciative. The food was delicious and I have no complaints. The inside looked cleaned when I walked in even though we didn't get to sit inside.

The best little breakfast spot on Georgia Ave. Easy in and out, and you'd miss it if you blink! Thank goodness I looked to my left. Great food in minutes and I was back in my car. The Hot honey chicken sandwich is to live for.

When I realized the service charge had already been included and asked for the extra tip to be removed, the waiter told me he does not receive any portion of the 18% charge. Today we took a drive to Kaldi's to order some breakfast to-go. The restaurant was really packed but the ordering process was actually pretty smooth. We ordered their 12oz lattes, my drink was modified to add a splash of almond milk. The lattes sadly weren't anything special and could probably benefit from some cinnamon or a flavor of some sort to bring a little personality to the drink. To eat, we ordered their waffles (sorry for the to-go pictures) I ordered the sweet corn waffle and my boyfriend ordered the waffles with fresh berries. The waffles were PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!! Probably the best and most creative waffles I've had in a long time. The sweet corn waffles were magical. The addition of jalapeño peppers perfectly balanced off the sweet flavor seeping through the waffles. It was beautifully paired. The waffles were also very creamy and soft. Only downside is that I didn't care for the random garnish of corn of top but I get the presentation. This might have been better if it was seasoned or sautéed but the random corn didn't add or take away from the dish. My boyfriend lovedddddd his waffles and berries and said that it was the perfect breakfast selection. I'll definitely come back to order more waffles but also wished that they had a way of conducting pick up through their online portal. As mentioned, it was packed in there but there were some nice seating around the restaurant so I assume that you'll need to get there really early in order to dine in. Overall, I'll return and hopefully I can try another beverage.

We had neighbors getting construction this week so I worked there Wednesday morning for some peace. The menu is small, but mighty, the service is iffy, and the pastries are store bought and stale. The front of house guy who brings the food and prepared the drinks is awesome, accommodating, and polite. I ordered egg and cheese on croissant, which came with salad and fruit. I also got my standard americano with room for cream. The food was well made, the perfect temperature and had just right seasoning levels. The americano was a bit cold so I figure he'd let it set while the food was being made to run them together. I had asked for cream, it was forgotten, they don't have any Splenda, only sweet n low, and their teaspoons are tablespoons, but the food was good. I also ordered a muffin later just to see what their pastries were about. It had clearly been in the pastry case for more than 3 days. It was REVOLTINGLY stale. I returned and advised and he offered a "fresh one" - from the fridge, in plastic, from a bakery in NEW JERSEY. They'd be better off selling Costco muffins. That muffin was HORRIBLE. Sickeningly sweet, 7 blueberries that were clearly rehydrated in the batter, and tasted like oil and preservatives. Sad. However, I came to work! There were two tables there when I arrived, they left within 15/20 minutes. The bathroom was not clean AT ALL - toilet bowl was gross and it was 10:00 am and they were out of soap and toilet paper. Ewwwww. I pray there was a hand washing sink in the kitchen. Also, the cook or whomever was in the back was watching something on tv, yelling in Spanish loudly, and generally making a racket. This did not make for an easy or enjoyable working environment. The layout is lovely, the chairs are comfy, the tables are just the right size for individuals or small groups (read 2 people) so the vibe is work/co-work, but then the dude is yelling in the kitchen!!! The other thing is, there was NOBODY in the place but me and one other dude who'd long since eaten, and the tables from the other people hadn't been wiped. They were bussed, but not wiped. The floor wasn't swept. It was just a general aura of idgaf but that's young workers in 2023 I guess. The concept is good, but the execution is struggling. I want to hope it's a bad day but who knows. I would try again if I was in the area but would definitely not go out of my way given the parking plus the issues above. Okay, not Great.

This Iron Rooster is located inside of the College Park hotel. The customer service is good and so…read moreis the food. I think I may have had the best lemon drop ever here. I've been twice and have received the same service each time. Sundays can be hectic but that's expected for most breakfast and brunch spots . This spot has a big menu which made it hard to choose but everything I've had was really good. The bartender I had was a guy with dreads I believe, and he was very knowledgeable about everything there and he made great drinks. He was very professional and he ran that bar well. I don't know why it took me so long to stop in this spot but I'm glad I did. If you're thinking about going don't think about it anymore-just go. There's something on the menu for everyone to enjoy..

This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. The restaurant is nice, appears clean (restrooms…read moreincluded), and the staff was nice. We tried the Brisket Chilli (Ate it before taking a picture). It was flavorful and hearty. I would certainly try it again. We also tried the Fried Green Tomato Caprese. This was amazing. 10/10. I ate all of the greens and scraps. My plate didn't need to be washed afterwards. Lol. Lastly, we tried the Brisket over sautéed potatoes with peppers, onions, salsa Verde and questions. Honestly, there was no flavor in this dish at all. None on the Brisket, potatoes or sauce. With a bit of seasoning, this would be really good. The food was hot and fresh. I'll visit again when i'm in the area.
