I first came to Olympic Automotive to get an oil change for my vehicle, a 2006 Toyota Corolla S in 2014. I noticed it was a locally owned business, and prefer to help out the locals that have been in the community for years instead of going to the bigger companies like Midas. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received, and the owner (Jibran) was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. Everything has always been exactly as quoted from the time it would take to the cost. They always call you when/if they find any additional issues and make sure you understand what the issue is, and that they have your OK before proceeding. They have never tried to upsell me on anything, unlike the bigger shops (Midas). Jibran was even willing to sit with me and call other shops to receive quotes on services/products and compare them to his prices. I have NEVER had an auto shop do this for me before, and that is a huge reason I chose to stick with OA. Someone once broke my side mirror in a Costco parking lot, and OA was able to fix that in a professional and timely manner as well. I called in and let Jibran know about the issue, he immediately ordered the part and set up a time for me to come in, and had my mirror fixed the same day. It cost much less than what the Toyota dealership and O'Reilly had quoted me at. I have been bringing my car in consistently to this shop due to their excellent customer service, honesty and straightforwardness. I have been recommending this shop to all my friends and family over the past several years, and not a single person has had any issues. I am glad to see that they are doing well, as they should be, and will continue to come back to them for any auto services. I was quoted 990 for a service and when I called to ask when the car would be ready I was given a price of 1490. I understand that the initial cost may have changed but there was no communication about the additional fees that were needed. A phone call to inform me is a professional courtesy. I would not recommend them because of the lack of communication and the missing professional courtesy. read more

UPDATE (8/17/24): Clarification on Olympic Automotive. An owner's representative of Olympic Automotive told me that the owner has two car selling ventures: one that sells nicer cars and is more of a dealership and one that is an extension of the car repair shop. I purchased from the latter, which is why the vehicle was not dealership quality. Also note that the review (including the rating) was written twelve days before I reached out to the seller and realized that the paperwork for registration had not yet been filed. (Unbeknownst to me, the seller could not get the mileage paperwork needed to file. As a result, I had to drive the car to the State Patrol to get that odometer reading.) Had to take my car in various times after a job work of $5k+ and my car still has work that needs to get done....took it to another shop where they said they had used original damage items (which i was charged for and said it was new) and looked as if painted right on that i should go back where i got work done and have him fix it , went and got it checked out he blamed the other place saying they where lying honestly why would they lie they would of just charged me and not recommending checking if i had warranty. Still left my car there so they could check & current same noise and also things flying out my bumper as if not placed right. Now i have to pay $800+ to get one thing fixed . I got my car towed there to get my dead starter replaced and they had my car back to me in 2 days because they were closed on Sunday at a extremely reasonable price and with a brand new starter. read more

The new owner, Jibran, is a fair business man and very professional. All the mechanics know what they are doing and they are professional. The hourly rate is fair. They have it posted on the wall. They have loaner cars to loan .One warning to the ladies, stay away from the shop manager, Steve. He will hit on you up until you get your car back. I was told I needed a man, I was called sweetie, honey, baby. Told 3 times he was saving me money. I had to go back and have him finish up some work so I told him I was nervous having to come back to see him. He asked me if I had feelings for him. NO. I was tired of being hit on. Told twice to come back and take him out to lunch. Icing on the cake, he put new snow tire cables in my car without my knowledge. Get rid of Steve and I will bring my car and my money back. read more

Owner is very unprofessional. I was scammed with a misquote then had my car held hostage. He spoke to me pointing his finger in my face, yelling, cursing and made sexual derogatory comments as I was leaving. My car wasn't fixed after $800 of work; brought it to another shop where they had to correct the work that this place did. Avoid this place at all costs. They are frauds. read more

Stay far away from this place. Incompetent and unprofessional. Short story: Went in with one issue, left with the same issue (after being told it had been fixed 3 times) and a new issue as a result of their work. Owner was rude and yelled at me after expressing my concerns. He blamed my car being old on the fact they didn't fix my problem (after admitting they misidentified the source of the issue 3 times). Long Story: Went in asking to fix a specific noise my car was making. The mechanic (Steve) told me the noise was due to the transmission fluid being too full. So I paid for a transmission service. I was told the noise was gone. Went in, the noise was still there. The mechanic told me he felt bad because the noise was actually a result of an old belt and ball bearings. The owner(Jibran) argued with the mechanic (in front of me) and said the noise was a result of the power steering pump. The mechanic assured me he was right and told me he would waive the labor because he misidentified the problem. Got a call saying my car was ready and wasn't making any noise. Came in and the noise was still there. The owner told me that he knew the power steering pump was the problem and because they had misidentified the problem (now 2 times) and said there would be no charge. "This is what happens when the owner is not here". The mechanic called me later and said he was sorry he misidentified the problem again. They replaced the power steering pump, told me the noise was gone. Came in, noise was still there, and now was a new whining noise. Owner refused to give me documentation of repair because he did the work for free. Took my car to the dealership for repairs, found the actual source of the problem (alternator) and fixed it (imagine that). They did say I needed a new power steering pump because it was failing. I called the owner and told him this, he became defensive, started arguing with me and blamed my car for being old. He also said I should be happy that he did free work on my car even though it was bad. I had requested he pay for the repair at the dealership because they would actually do a good job. He said it was too expensive and would not pay for it. He said he would replace it at his shop. I refused to let them touch my car again. He told me to give him back his power steering pump and to go elsewhere. He refused to give me any documentation of the power steering pump replacement and said the reason why they did bad work was because "I harassed the mechanic". I regret ever bringing my car to this place and hope you don't make the same mistake as I did. read more

This place has new ownership as of Nov 2016. In past years I had taken all of my vehicles to them and was fairly pleased, but my last repair I was not, and found out they used 'used parts' which was probably why the repair didn't take.  They eventually fixed it with new parts.  Their lot is full of dilapidated vehicles that appear to be purchased in bulk and/or at auction, and the guy at the counter indicated they sell used vehicles.  I think they either flip these vehicles or use them for parts for their repair business.  I recommend you always ask them if they will be using new or used parts for your repair. read more

Today was my first visit at Olympic Automotive, and I will be a lifetime customer from this day forward. I needed someone who was open on Saturday's, and called them blindly for that reason. Steve was very kind and professional. He offered to drop me off and pick me up. He called soon after I returned home to give me an estimate. I was shocked when he told me it would only be $475 to replace the water pump AND the blower motor for my air. Out of curiosity I called the Jeep dealership on Aurora in Seattle and Jim quoted me $1,010. Being a single Mom, and not knowing anything about auto repairs, I always get a little anxious wondering if a shop is going to be honest with me. I really feel so very fortunate to have found this place. When I picked up my car, both Steve and another gentleman, whom I'm guessing was the owner, both explained to me in detail what was done. Basically told me what I already knew was the issue. Called and scheduled to take my Integra in for a Heater Hose replacement. Decided to take it to a place because the hose is a pain to get to, have to take the intake manifold off, which I knew. Guy from OA said it would be an hour labor charge. So I took it in on Friday, dropped it off and I get a call 20 min later, saying the cost will be $387 and close to 3 hours of labor, because they have to take the intake manifold off (Well, no shhh. Why didn't you include in that in the quote originally?) and it'll take longer, versus the $178 or under $200 quote they told me in person when I dropped it off. Not a good first time experience in my eyes. When I picked it up, he said the same thing, it was a coolant hose and the manifold needs to come off... So I paid $70 to have them tell me that a heater hose is leaking AFTER I'm the one who called to schedule a heater hose replacement? Guess my point is, they should have known it's a 3 hour job when they quoted me. read more

Don't come here! 3 days for a 5 hour job, double the cost estimate and now leaking oil and the hood doesn't shut right !!!!! I made an appointment two weeks in advance and the first day my car was there they never touched it. Second day ordered parts, about $375 more cost than what they told me when I made the appointment and they were supposed to order in advance so the car could be done in one day. Clearly that promise was never intended to be honored. Third day it was finally done late late in the day. Now it is leaking oil and it never did before. Also, the hood no longer closes as it did, they have somehow managed to get it misaligned so I have to slam it shut. Do not waste your money, time or trust your car care with this place!!!! I am going to have to take my car to a dealer to repair the mistakes they made. read more

Terrible experience all around. They shut my hood with a metal box of screw tips still sitting on my engine, with screw tips scattered all over. I found out when I noticed my hood wasn't completely shut. On top of that I was picking my car up after business hours so they told me they would leave my car outside of the gate and put my key under my mat. The car was out there but the key was still inside their shop and they were aware I only have one key. The next morning I only got a response of Oh oops your key is still on our key board inside the shop. Worst customer service. I asked that the owner call me about the whole ordeal and of course he never did. Jim did all the work on my car except the alignment which he blamed on another employee stating that he would have been the one to leave the tools on my engine.
