Poorly proscribed glasses, the handles to short, if they were expects they would notice that, I'm not the expert they are

Spent $500 on Fendi prescription glasses that they fitted me for and the arms of the glasses are for a child's head, it doesn't go over my ears, since I do not wear my glasses everyday, only when do distant driving which is rarely, got the glasses in Jan and it's now Nov I notice the problem, I called them to see if they can fix it and they said nothing they can do because it's 10 months later. This is bullshit because for the price I paid they should have at least a year warranty period, fuck this place and do not go there because they will not try to help u, to me it's their fault as professionals and experts to notice the damn arms are way to short it doesn't go over my ears, poor customer service, waste of my money and time. My advice don't waste yours either. Cheap bastards

My insurance switched to VSP and I found this gem in koreatown. I walked on in weekday couldn't get an appt. But the girl was v helpful printed out my insurance and helped me find the perfect pair of Tory Burch frames. Pros: -They had wide frame selections which is huge deal for me. Armani, D&G, Tiffanys, Lacoste etc - customer service excellent. She was knowledgable took out my insurance info and educated me on what was covered and what would cost extra. - no hard sell - My exam with Dr Kook was efficient and thorough. First person to eval my tear ducts and commented on it. Also took pics for me to see on comp how clogged they were. - speaks English well - Free parking in big lot Cons - Can't get walk in eye exam - Wait for frames is 7-10 business days so not same day like at LensCrafters - when using equipment doesn't look like the wipe it down before you put your chin on it Would definitely come back again and again. Highly recommend this place

Yesterday, it took the doctor over an hour past my appointment time to see me. She said she was on a conference call and then had a difficult patient. I was her first scheduled patient, so that doesn't make sense. This has been happening more and more. Always an apology, but not any changes to being more timely. I understand things happen sometimes, but an hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time seems unacceptable. I was there to follow up on my ocular hypertension. That wasn't even discussed. The doctor rushed through my appointment. We talked about my dry eye issue and that was it. I had questions, but she left before I could ask them. I had to ask the technician if my retinal photos were okay. She said they were, except for the cataracts. What cataracts? They were documented on my chart in 2019, and no one ever told me. Also, the staff at the front desk were making negative statements about other patients, loud enough for the waiting room to hear. That doesn't seem professional to me. I'm not coming back. I can get better, more thorough care somewhere else, I'm sure.

I would give zero stars if I could. The "surgeon" here (Dr. Joseph Lee) cares more about money than…read morethe actual patient. After several consults, we settled on a price that was reasonable for the surgery. All the sudden on the final consult before scheduling the surgery, the surgeon complains that the price is too low for the amount of work he needs to do on my eye and that he would have to make incisions on my eyelids (causes scarring and is extremely painful). He has never made that comment before until now. Apparently it will make the work "easier" for him for how much it will cost and that other lasik doctors would do the same. I went and consulted with two other surgeons (most likely more reputable than him) and mentioned that. None of them said they would need to do that for my eye. Dr. Lee here is a liar! He acts like he is the only eye surgeon who performs lasik around here and criticizes others. He states he does not care about money but has the nerve to tell me that the amount he would be getting from me is all the sudden too cheap. He also says he is a humble guy but during every single consult he spends the entire time talking about himself. This guy even admitted he "experiments" without our consent. He told me the story of how he placed alcohol in the eyes of one of his clients because she developed an infection. He said it's not fda approved but did it anyways. I don't know about you, but I personally don't want to be an experiment to anyone. Avoid this doctor at all costs. There are plenty of other lasik surgeons out there who do much better jobs and are honest.

If you would prefer a more handheld experience, I'd highly recommend you go somewhere else. You can…read moreread all about the actual Lasik experience from other reviews, but these were just some of the issues that I personally faced. Take it from someone who has now had 3 Lasik surgeries with Dr.Lee in the past year and is still not seeing clearly. Original prescription ~ -6.00 with astigmatism Cons: - Difficulty with appointments. They crank out surgeries and check-ups here like a factory. The waits are long (30+ min with appt), and I've had my appointments changed from the Artesia location to Ktown LA the day before multiple times. - My eyes regressed within a year about ~1.00 and I had to do an enhancement. I went in for my surgery and he did only one eye before telling me to come back another day to do the other. Apparently, I'm very difficult, even though I have no history of anxiety? He made me feel terrible. Of course there were no available appointments for a whole month. I was seeing clear in one eye and extremely blurry in the other for a month. Cue headaches. - Post enhancement, I'm still not seeing clearly in one eye. Pros: - Price for surgeries here are half the cost of most western offices. - Medical assistants and other doctors who assist with check-ups are super sweet and professional. They were sympathetic when I was feeling disappointed.

With one…read moreblack patch over her left eye, she could have been an extra for the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. Shiver me timbers... Yesterday, she had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Tae S. Kim at Cerritos Eye Medical Center. For an older woman, it has to be traumatic. But, it had to be done since she was losing vision and that alone could be very daunting. However, she confessed that the experience wasn't that bad, thanks to Dr. Kim. That's what I realized as well, having seen patients waiting for this professional, as their turn came about. I guess, eye surgery is somewhat common as a person gets older. The staff is very kind and patient, as I see one of the assistants provide detailed instructions to my mother on the medication that she has to endure for the next month or so. As I watch another receptionist answer the phone, I can tell that they're very calm and knowledgeable in the process. A couple years back, I had an eye infection and I remember Dr. Kim's kindness and thorough explanation of the eye drops and care that was needed for me to heal. I know many of us complain about the lack of thoroughness when it comes to professionals these days. A lot of them are about making that quick buck and to a certain extent, I can't blame them. It's still a business right? However, whenever I see a medical staff showing generosity in the time spent with you and the paperwork process, I get a good feeling knowing that they're probably doing the same with others. My lone issue has to be the form of payment needed for the services at Cerritos Eye Medical Center. Cash and check only? For those who don't have the money now, how does one get treatment? I know medical insurance and Medi-Cal are accepted here, but in this day and age - NO CREDIT CARDS? I'm kinda dumbfounded. Anyways, I would come back to see Dr. Kim again, since this place seems somewhat hidden to the general population. I see old people (aka seniors citizens only). Could be the hidden gem of eye care. Since, it's right next to my primary care physician - Dr. Pak @ First Medical Center, it's a no brainer for me.

I am very satisfied and happy with the result. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon and his staff. I was hit by a rock on my right eye when I was in first grade. That unfortunate incident caused very early development of cataract called Traumatic Cataract. I saw the first sign of blurriness about five years ago, and it progressively got worse as time went on to a point where my right eye became almost useless, and I was using primarily my left eye to function and live my life, which was very irritating. Although my health insurance referred me Dr. Marvin Gordon, I feel very fortunate and lucky to have such capable, meticulous, and skilled doctor. His exams on my eyes were pretty extensive, and some tests were done more than once, which made me feel little bit irritating at the time, but later I came to appreciate his meticulous and complete nature of his practice. After all, they are my eyes and vision that I will be living with for rest of my life, and I'm glad he took his time and care to thoroughly examine them. I also had this fear of not getting approval for the surgery from my insurance company, but after the diagnosis Dr. Gordon explained the condition of my eyes, what cataract surgery is, what options were available, and what I can expect from the surgery. He explained all these things to me confidently as if the surgery is going to happen, which made me at ease and believe that he would submit all necessary tests and supporting documents to my insurance for the surgery approval. I was elated when I got the call from his office that my surgery date has been set, and I needed to go see my primary physician for a physical, to make sure I was physically well enough to go through a surgery. His office also emailed me information on what I need to do before the surgery, on day of the surgery, and after the surgery. A few days before the surgery, my surgery hospital Lakewood Regional Medical Center called me to confirm my cataract surgery and my out-of-pocket cost. It was whopping $1,100. It was a lot to fork out, but I was really relieved that it was manageable sum, and it seemed reasonable to me. All staff and nurses at Lakewood Regional Medical Center were very professional and courteous, except for the intern or volunteer kid who wheel-chaired me to my waiting car after the surgery where he didn't fold up the foot stand on wheel chair that made it difficult for me to stand up, and he promptly banged the car door against the wheel chair as he opened it. It was my friend's car who was kind enough to come with me, and that made it 100 times worse than if it happened to my own. Dr. Gordon came to see me before the surgery to make sure I was feeling comfortable and to answer any concerns or questions. The surgery took about an hour, and I was asleep most of the time, but I did wake up during the last part of the operation. I was little shock to see the operation being performed on my eye, and I could feel the wetness and the instruments touching my eye as well, but it wasn't all that gross. What surprised me was that Dr. Gordon was explaining what he was doing as the procedure went on, and that helped me tremendously to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I was feeling very nauseous for a couple of days though from the effects of anesthesia, which I slept it off. Thankfully there was no other side effects or complications. The recovery time was surprisingly fast! Just after couple of days after the surgery I was able to see clearly without any corrective lens. Its been couple of months since the surgery, and I am very satisfied and happy with the result.
