I called for emergency service on 7/3 as my spring broke during the week and it was a holiday the next day and I was unable to get my car out. Fast forward to 8/11, I call to report the door isn't going up fully. Tech calls and says he will come out by end of week. No call, no show. I call today 8/20...they send to tech. He calls, ask that i send a video, I did. He says I only changed the spring and the door was working fine and tells me to check the sensors....can you come by to check as I'm not a technician. Does the spring not control the door going up and down??? But he tells me it's the opener, no air, this wasn't happening before you came out. He then tells me it will be a service call and he will see when he may have time. I paid for service and there is a limited 90 day warranty for the service and now you can't come back to look at a problem that wasn't present before you replaced the spring. I called the office back and I'm told...it's up to the technician as to when he can come out as he makes his schedule. O, did I mention he wanted to charge me way over $300 to replace the spring until I said someone would do it cheaper, then he comes back to say the manager said ok but it has to be cash payment. They replaced a torsion spring it took 1/2 hour so the Labor was $179 (after negotiation) the Spring was $279. (Home Depot sells the Spring for $93). Total bill $500. They want cash or credit card. They prefer Credit Card but then charge you 3% for using it. The only plus is that it was done quickly. AVOID USING THESE PEOPLE! read more

What a ripoff. Had a simple garage door opening issue for 2 door garage. Michael came out and wanted $700! I said no way! Then he consulted with someone on phone ( maybe, could have been talking to himself ) then the price dropped to $500. I said ok, just get it done. Within 10 minutes the doors were fixed. I had to ask him to put a light bulb in and program the remotes so the doors would open. Really!! I have to ask!! He said normally they charge separate for each of those services. Why ?? He is providing a service. I forgot to ask him to program the remotes so I can open the doors without the remote by pushing a button when I'm in the garage and he didn't care to make sure everything worked properly. The spring and a cable broke on our garage door so we called these folks to come out and repair it. They didn't inform us that due to a crack in the garage door it needed to be replaced and went ahead with the spring and cable repair. Then when the door wouldn't work they said it needed to be replaced. Now they are trying to charge us $1,900 for a repair that didn't need to happen because the door actually needed replacing. Also, once they are finished with the job it is their policy to stand in your driveway and intimidate you into paying, even if the work isn't complete or the door wasn't repaired. The invoice they send you will have an actual date that payment is due. DO NOT use this company. They are not garage door experts and will only fix the immediate problem and not diagnose everything that needs to be done for a repair. UPDATE: I have their address if you want to sue them! SCAMMERS-DO NOT HIRE!!! Absolutely should have read the reviews before using these scammers. A $500 dollar mistake I will never make again. This so called garage guy came out and initially quoted me $250 for off track repair. Next thing I know I am being asked for $1,100 then $700 then $600, then $500. When asked what the charges were for, I never received a straight answer just the run around that they will need this or that to make the repair. This buffoon said the charge was for him to remove the entire garage door to replace the very last bracket and roller wheel. When I told him I did not want all the extra work he was recommending and only do the initial $250 work he quoted, he refused to hook the garage door back onto the motor after he uninstalled the cable citing he had done his job and was not doing anything further because he would not be held liable if I did not replace the items he suggested claiming the garage door would not open without replacing the bracket and wheel. I asked him multiple times to prove to me the garage door would not open without it and he kept telling me no unless I paid him. I told him I was going to the bank to withdraw the money and, when he thought I had left to get the cash and wasn't looking, I watched him replace the bracket and roller wheel without removing the door. I immediately called him out on it and he tried to say that he meant the cable wire not the entire door. When he was done, I asked him for the invoice and to provide a break down of all the specific charges and he told me that the other $250 was the cost for parts which was two metal brackets about 5x5 in size ($125 each). Not to mention he charged me to replace the bracket on the other side even though it didn't need replacing. After he left I researched the parts cost and found out the exact brackets online for only $15. I immediately called the company and made a complaint. I get a call back from a "Manager" who says that the cost of the parts are very high because of Trump's tariffs but would refund me $75. In the month of August, we reached out to a few garage door repair companies. Two offered to replace our door, as the repair was out of their scope of expertise. Olympus said they could absolutely fix it on the spot. The technician attempted to repair the door and require payment upfront but was unsuccessful in his repair. He agreed to come back later in the week to finish the job. After his return, our garage door fell off of the mechanism he put in place! It could have severely injure my child and her friends. We have called the company nearly a dozen times asking to speak with a manager but the person who answers the phone refuses to transfer us to anyone and instead dispatches the technician to call us. We have given him multiple chances to repair the door but he was unable to do so, and he no showed the last appointment. When we confronted him about not showing up for the appointment, he tried to say there was something else that needed repaired that he could not do. We have paid him $1397 for a job that is not only incomplete, but is now a danger to my family and anyone who walks under it. Originally we just wanted him to fix the door, but at this point, 2 months later, if we do not receive a refund so that we can get someone to safely fix this door, we will need to pursue legal action. read more

It was a stressful situation already with our garage door sticking since winter; called for help-made the mistake of trusting Olympus Garage Door Albion; got ripped off for $20; PLUS took 30 minutes to get the guy to stop harassing me and leave! The repair man they sent was from 317 garage door and showed up 3 hours after the original window of time given (he did call to let me know). He told me the garage door was in need of maintenance and the charge was $379. 15 minutes later he was done with the repair. Later when I watched the video from my garage camera I saw he spent 1 minute and 30 seconds on a ladder to tighten a cable. Worst technician service. I would not recommend this Olympus company. I called to get a diagnostic of what is wrong with my garage door. Spoke to customer service who then set me up with a technician to come over that night. Technician came over with an attitude of even being at my house. Did not say his name or the company. Technician had no courtesy. I showed him what the garage door was doing. Disgruntled he went to his truck and came back with his tools. He then said I need a new garage door opener with no real explanation. I asked questions because it's maybe a seven year old garage door opener. Garage door openers usually last more than ten. So I was curious why it wasn't working. He only could say that it was the winter and it was the brand (lift master) that isn't suited for Chicago's winter. When he said I need a new opener the cost was $420. Nothing written and no explanation of the opener he is selling. His tone became more agitated and especially after I said no. Ben that did the spring replacement didn't show up in the time window , Then when Ben did show up his price was 600.00 but said he would do it for 500.00 cash? Ben installed the new spring and said the door was working good and left ...But the door didn't go all the way down.so we called and called and aweek later on a Sunday he came to fix it. I hired these people here in kennesaw ga to replace my broken garage door spring so as to make it fully able to open and close normally --just like it did before the spring broke --which was only the night before . While The technician Tomas DID replace both Springs ( tho he used 38 inch springs versus the 35.5 inch springs that had been on the door and working fine for about 9 years ) when it then came time to test the door opening and closing correctly --even after repeated attempts and adjustments he couldn't get the door to open and close normally without problems . When his boss called about 80-85 minutes after the tek first arrived here and then started telling Tomas to hurry up and finish and leave my home so as to get on to his next job . This directive from the boss stood firm regardless of the problems he/ we were still having with getting the the door to open and close normally. Tomas asked me to work with it and get with him later if I couldn't get it working well --as he was very sorry but he had to leave . Tomas said that if I couldn't get it going on my own that we would set up a time for him to soon as possible come back and get it right . BUT Tomas's boss apparently has taken the position that the problem lies with my garage door motor ( which is absolutely not the case--which I proved by sending him a video showing the motor doing its usual good job ) . So this boss just emails me and said as of just a few hours later " sorry , We can't help you" . Since then they both have " ghosted" me --so now I'm left to either fix the door myself or else hire others to do it . I fully admit that I was foolish ..way too trusting ..because big dummy me I went ahead and paid Tomas ( in cash ) as he left out of here --fully believing that he would soon return if necessary to fix the remaining problem --just as we had briefly discussed before he left --and JUST AS I PAID HIM. I called Olympus Garage Door and Gate Repair for a free estimate. That day a man showed up and said I needed a new chain drive that everything else was fine. I told him I trusted him and said ok. Bill was $648.00 and said it had a life time warranty. So wrote a check to the company. Then he said he just wanted his name on the check not the company I called. So voided and wrote his name on the check. Late I got an email showing my estimate. It stated I had a chain repair and I sent an email back to get it straightened out. The email bounced back as no such email address. So got suspicious and called the company Olympus to see if my warranty even exists. First time I was told someone would call me back soon. Nobody did. Next day called again and got a different person that listed and said the boss is not in on Sunday so will get a call Monday. Never happened. I did get a call Sunday by the guy that installed the chain drive. I told him its a chain drive NOT a opening chain. He said he would fix the estimate and text it to me. I said no text. Email it like the last one. He said ok. Never did. Also the new chain drive uses 2 light bulbs. One was missing so gave him one to put in. Not sure why. Thats minor anyways. Just another red flag. I told him I asked about why I got a Chamberlain one button remote instead of the Lift Master remote to match the Lift Master chain drive. He said they are the same! I said completely different systems! This remote is compatible but not the same. Its just cheaper. He wanted $48 for a second Chambelain and I said no. I had time later and looked them up. This cheaper Chamberlain remotes are 2 for $14.95 with free shipping! Another red flag. Anyways I am stuck with what I have and for now it all works. Warranty? No idea now. I strongly suggest to get more than one estimate and not hurry and trust as much as I did. Get a real estimate that says what they are doing and what they are replacing. If you consider the cost of doing business today as well as the inconvenience of not being able to open the door, I thought the price was on the high side but fair. The service guy was nice, but The price for motor replace and springs he quoted was outrageous. Not to mention he was 7hours late from the original time scheduled. I got called every 2hours saying he'd be there at a different time. I tried saying forget it it was too expensive and then was told there was a $19 service fee for coming. Maybe if he were on time, but not showing up at almost 8pm. Then got a "deal" of $550 for the motor replacement which after installation, tax, and service fee for card use was over $800. And didn't even take the old device and forgot to leave wall the wall mount that couldn't be installed because I have 2 doors that are connected with same wiring.
