I initially called this company simply to get a quote/estimate. Instead of answering my question, the receptionist immediately asked for my address and availability and scheduled me for a service window. I had to clarify multiple times that I did NOT want to commit to anything yet, as I was only looking for an estimate and didn't want to risk being charged. I was eventually told that a technician could come out and provide an estimate before any commitment to service or payment. The technician did arrive within the scheduled window, which I appreciated. However, things went downhill quickly. Instead of trying to open my garage door using the interior switch, he forcefully pushed the door open. As a result, my garage door is now completely stuck open when originally it was only about one-third open. This alone was extremely frustrating. From there, the interaction became very uncomfortable. I was at work and had arranged for my father to meet the technician, since I wasn't home. I made it clear that I was only looking for an estimate and was not prepared to make a same-day decision. Despite this, the technician repeatedly pressured me to decide immediately, saying he had other customers to get to and he cannot wait around. He also made comments that were very off-putting, such as saying my job was "too small" (under $300) for him to come back another day, and that the company would not return if I didn't agree to the service on the spot. This completely contradicted what I was told when I first called. At one point, when I asked reasonable questions about whether fixing just the pulley could lead to other issues, he became impatient and dismissive. He kept repeating that he "already gave you your two options, change all parts for $525 or just the pulley for $250" and "wouldn't know until he fixed it," even though I was simply trying to understand my options. He also said things like, "Did you look at our website? We have over 500 5-star reviews," which came across as dismissive rather than reassuring. To compare, I called another company later that same day and specifically asked if I could get an estimate and decide later. They had no issue with that and told me I could absolutely call back when I was ready. To be clear, the price quoted here was not bad. My issue is not with the cost but with the experience. The technician's attitude, the pressure to make an immediate decision, and the way my situation was handled turned what should have been a simple estimate into a very negative experience. I'm sharing this so other customers know what to expect.

Instead of completing the installation of the new fixtures on the old poorly done box and having them stick out, we discussed it, and he suggested that he could chip out the cement, which was not a simple task, and replace the boxes with "half boxes" that I would need to purchase. In the end, he was able to put the original boxes back in properly and install the new lanterns flush with the wall. Looks really good!

I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

My garage door has an automatic opener and was not very quiet opening. I called All Garage Door Services and was pleasantly surprised that I the owner, Carmen, picked up the phone. I explained my situation and that I was actually interested in a quieter garage door opener. Carmen had immediate availability and was out the next morning at 8 a.m. Carmen and his assistant, his daughter, were such a treat and joy to have at my house, his knowledge and expertise was refreshing. After discussing the situation, Carmen, had everything under control. We converted from a chain drive to a belt drive. As he was replacing the old opener, I had mentioned some other concerns with the garage door and he had some great suggestions on how to fix those other issues, for example, gaps and weather stripping. I would most certainly have this company do any repairs in the future, hopefully I won't need any. VERY SATISFIED customer. read more

Since the electric company did not come out until after 8 pm. I was not sure if I could get service at that late hour. I called All Garage Door Services and spoke with the owner Carmen. These guys did our original installation in 2007. When we started having problems with the doors, we called them back based on the great original installation. Our phone call was returned within an hour and an appointment was set-up for the next day. In my presence they inspected both doors and showed and explained the problems and answered all my questions. The job took several hours, replacing cables, pullies, springs, etc. The also reprogrammed one of the doors electronically, as well as the remotes. They also programmed my car's built in controls. The garage doors now operate as new and I would grade the job A+. I would highly recommend All Garage Door Services very highly for new and repair services. read more

All Garage Door Service came to my home to measure, then replaced my garage door that same week. True professionals, they provided beautiful workmanship on my door that (due to its age) would have presented problems to an "average" installer. But they worked their magic, overcame the glitches, and even left my garage cleaner than it was when they arrived! Had a problem with my garage door receiver not working. Called Carmen and he came out the same afternoon to check it out. Had to replace the receiver, which he did quickly and efficiently. He also helped reprogram our two cars and left a handheld transmitter as backup. The only reason I gave four instead of 5 stars is that I think I could have gotten a receiver for a much lower cost on Amazon and installed it myself. I got a call and the tech said he would be there between 12:00 and 2:00 pm. At 1:30 another guy called and said he would arrive between 2:00 and 4:00pm. I told him that someone else already had called and he said that was ok. I went out to the garage and started messing with the door thinking I could fix it myself self and that was a waste of time. While I was in the garage another guy called and said he could come and fix the door and would stop between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. I said wait a minute, 2 other guys already called me and said they were coming to fix my door, he said that's Ok. I asked him what he was go to charge me. He said only $29.00 service fee plus labor and parts. I asked him what he was going to do. He said he was going to take off the torsion springs and grease the pulleys and inspect the cables and replace if necessary. Also readjust the door tracks. Around a 2 hour job. He told me all this without even looking at my door. I said Don't come here to my house I want to cancel all appointments. Call your company and tell them not to send anyone to my address! I then called the number of Victory Garage Doors, a company in West Deptford NJ several miles away. James answered the phone: (now it's 3:35pm Sunday afternoon) he said I am grocery shopping right now are you near West Deptford? I said yes. He said I can be there between 5:00 and 5:30 pm. I said I'll see you then. At 5:15 pm on a Sunday James arrived. I sat on a chair in the garage and James immediately went to work on the door. He released tension on the torsion springs and reset the cables on the spools. Put tension back on the springs. He worked methodically and with precision. He adjusted the tracks and added a little more tension to the door load. He said that would make the door glide smoother and not be so jerky going up and down and he was right. My door runs smoother and quieter than it ever did. When I looked at my watch, he had did all this and it was 5:46 pm. He even adjusted the sensors and sprayed the springs with lubricant.
