A late update with many pics. My wife and I were working a mile from here for a few months. We ate here at least 4 days a week and we tried quite a few different dishes and found some that we had to keep eating verses trying new ones. We couldn't get enough of the Kati Roll, Shahi curry, Pani Puri and Dehli Chaat, everything was great but those were our repeats. Lunch special at least once a week too. We still go but it's a bit far but worth the trip.

Gobi Manchurian and Bhel Puri with Mango Lassi in the back

This place is really good. I've come here quite a few times and brought a decent amount of friends for the Indian food experience and Om bistro delivers this experience pretty well. Evenings can get pretty busy and a bit chaotic, but if you're patient, you'll be served with really good food. This time around we started off with the Bhelpuri and Gobi Manchurian. This has always been a crowd favorite for me and my friends especially when it's their first times trying it. For the main we split palak paneer and garlic naan which was super good. Their garlic naan is literally the best in the Phoenix Valley. The paneer was delicious, and I really liked the texture as it wasn't way too creamy or way too chunky, it was just perfectly done. Also not to forget to mention is the mango lassi, a nice and thick and well balanced sweetness with mango and yogurt tart flavor. The one downside that we had this evening was that they forgot our rice, and we didn't realize until the end of the meal and then did not ask because it was pretty chaotic with tons of people dining in actively getting orders.

Paper Dosai

Wide selection of Indian snacks and main dishes. The portions are quite large so it is great for families. What stood out was their paper dosas that were quite literally too big for the table. They could easily feed two people. The food was fresh and tasted good, would definitely return. It is definitely more of a casual eatery. Orders are taken at the register and are called out when ready so since we ordered multiple dishes they all came out at separate time.

Delicious garlic naan and Veg Jaipuri. Veggie biryani was plentiful. Perfect spice. Will visit again.

Having lived in LA, Seattle, NYC, San Jose, my bar is high. Clean, well decorated and buffet was well stocked. Mutton was done well, melted in my mouth. We asked, but it seemed the young lady didn't feel like explaining. After taking the first order, she just looked at us and said "AND...?". I guess we were supposed to all fire off our orders and hope she could keep up..? and it must be the kind of place where if you want your drink refilled, you have to yell to get someone's attention. The lunch trays, which I imagine must be like a bento box kind of thing, were odd. Made for small-ish portions. It was more like 3 sides than a main and two sides. I would have liked nearly twice as much of the main curry, though the sides seemed appropriate in portion. Like I said, decent food, but I think I'll try somewhere else rather than come back here again. I don't like feeling like I'm inconveniencing the staff by just trying to order.

This is a family-owned Indian restaurant and you can truly taste the care in the food. The chicken masala and butter chicken were both incredibly flavorful, rich, well-balanced, and comforting without being heavy. Paired with fresh, warm naan, we were honestly in heaven. We ordered everything at a medium spice level and it was absolutely perfect, flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and exactly what we needed after a long travel day. We will absolutely be back next time we're in Phoenix!

I forgot to take a picture of the palak paneer but the aloo tikka was incredible and there is a picture of that as well as the menu. The vegetable samosa was excellent with hearty bits of peas and chunks of potato in it and the sauces that went with it were both equally delicious. I also order some stuff to go . Their goat Byrani is terrific and the raita was spot on . A little light on the flavor spices but still pretty tasty. Same with the palak paneer could have been a little more with the garam masala flavor but otherwise it was still good and worth the price. I'd definitely go again

I motored over to Scottsdale, effortlessly secured a convenient parking space directly on the street, and set out to explore. While strolling, my eye was captured by an intimate, delightfully boutique establishment bearing the name The India. Upon crossing the threshold, I noted a wonderfully serene dining room with just a few select patrons, and the air was absolutely thick with the most intoxicating, magnificent aroma of exotic spices. A thoroughly charming gentleman of native Indian heritage, I deduced promptly extended a remarkably warm and dutiful greeting before escorting me to an excellent, highly comfortable table. To begin my afternoon refreshment, I requested a traditional Madras coffee from the menu. Within mere moments, it was elegantly presented to my table. I must be entirely candid: the flavor profile possesses a rich, authentic depth that renders standard establishments like Starbucks completely pedestrian. It was deeply satisfying. For my main luncheon course, I proceeded to order a personal favorite and the true crown jewel of the menu: the Chicken Dum Biryani. While I possess a great deal of experience with fine Indian cuisine, the execution of the Chicken Dum Biryani at this establishment is an absolute masterpiece. The layers of flavor were perfectly balanced, the poultry remarkably tender, and the entire dish was utterly addictive a total treat to the palate. The seamless combination of elite hospitality, intimate charm, and flawless culinary skill made for a magnificent afternoon. I am entirely enamored with this rare gem and shall most certainly be returning for future midday refreshments

During our meal we were each asked if we wanted a dosa and we replied "heck ya!" There were two choices and I got the one with potato inside. Sorry, I wasn't sure what the other choice was. The only thing that wasn't as appetizing was that we had to use paper plates on the buffet. We saw some of the other diners had real plates so I am not sure if they either ordered from the menu (which is an option) or if the restaurant just ran out of clean plates. This is definitely not something that affected my review and desire to return. We will definitely be back!
