I had fun trying this new place in 120th and Blondo! For awhile, we were the only people in the place so we had excellent service. My one complaint is that they did not ask to refill our drinks. The menu is limited, but it ensures quality control. I ordered the ground beef kebab, which was moist and flavorful. Every kebab comes on a bed of lettuce and a side of salad with house salad dressing, oil/vinegar with lemon. Don't ask for ranch! We ordered falafel as an appetizer, which came out hot and crispy. I think this is a heathy dinner option. Prices are a little high, but very good quality! read more

Omaha Kebabs is our go to. We eat there regularly. Service from Jill and Elizabeth is first rate. Best kebabs around (I personally live the chicken) and their falafel is THE BEST in town. I called 20 minutes before they close looking for a to go order. I told them they totally understood if they weren't taking any more orders that close to closing time but the young woman on the phone was more than happy to take my order and had it ready within 15 minutes like she had promised over the phone, I haven't even had a chance to eat the food yet before I leave this review but if the food is anywhere near the quality of their customer service, I have no doubt that it will be fantastic. read more

I couldn't find a menu online and called assuming they had chicken kebabs and had a Greek salad. I was right and they did not disappoint on either menu item. Chicken kebob with basmati rice & a green salad $16. I love basmati rice. Greek salad with Chicken $18. I noticed others that were ordering takeout also ordered extra kabobs. I think the regular order is generous, at least for the chicken. They don't provide pita bread but you may order it. It's really all about the meat, here. The chicken is really, really good, the best I've had in a long time. The Greek Salad was also generous with chicken and included red onions, kalamata olives romaine and tomato. The Greek salad was a 10. Red wine vinegar and a ton of seasoning, this salad is fresh. I heard this place was good and the Yelp reviews confirmed those. It is small inside, a few tables with a long bar that helps the takeout business. The server was very friendly and was helpful. Sign says Armenian food. The special was $10 for falafels, so they have options. We'll come back. This is not the Mediterranean Cafe and it's smaller than Jim & Jennie's but it holds its own at 120th & Blondo. We decided to try something new and this restaurant popped up. This place is excellent! The inside is small, but well decorated and has great ambiance. The staff is very kind and attentive. The food - so good! The menu is small, but I'm sure everything on it is great. We got falafel, chicken kebabs, and steak loin kebabs. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Wow, what a find! Great hidden gem in Omaha. The falafel and hummus were so delicious. Portions are very generous, presentation is fantastic, and everything is so fresh. Omaha Kebabs has become a regular staple for my parents and me. I have literally tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed with anything. My biggest dilemma upon each visit has become deciding what I am most in the mood to eat! Their falafels have become my favorite in town among several strong contenders, but their lamb chops are among some of the best I've had as well. I have even enjoyed the Armenian wine they started offering a few months ago (particularly red blend Van Ardi). So glad this gem has appeared on the Omaha restaurant scene. read more

I am part of a dinner club and this month we dined at Omaha Kebabs. I would HIGHLY recommend it. The moment I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly server. When I told him we'd have a group of 7 he inquired if we were celebrating something or just some friends. When I explained our dinner club he genuinely seemed happy that we chose there to eat. We started with the appetizer sampler. This is a MUST if you're with a group or if you are as much of a dip lover as myself. The sampler includes hummus, an eggplant dip (this was my favorite), a creamy cucumber dill sauce (think the Armenian version of tzatziki), tabouleh, and a beet salad. The beet salad was like nothing I've ever had but if you like beets, you will like this. Everything was delicious and the naan bread served with it was some of the best I've ever had. It was grilled perfectly. Our group ordered the ribeye special which came with ribeye, zucchini skewer, naan, and a tomato and onion salad, the lobster kebabs, chicken kebab, and the falafel burger. Everyone raved about their food. The rice was plentiful and cooked perfectly. All kebabs come with rice and a very delicious side salad with their own dressing. How anyone fit dessert in is beyond me but we got baklava which is served with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with honey and pistachios, and cherry and strawberry cheesecake respectively. I had the baklava and hands down it was the best I have ever had. I would recommend Omaha Kebabs ten times over. The chef and owner came and chatted with us and checked in about the meal. You can tell he has great pride for his restaurant and cuisine. Our server was wonderful, I wish I had gotten his name. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to return. read more

The Venue: Conveniently located in a little strip mall at 120th and Blondo, this clean and well put restaurant is warm and welcoming from the second you open the door. The Service: I was the only person in the restaurant and was met with a smile and menu immediately after entering the establishment. I was placing an order for takeout and was offered a drink or water while I waited, the service was good :) The Food: It got a bit dicey here, I ordered the beef and chicken kebabs which came with 1lb of rice per dish, a small side salad per, and a few onion shavings. The chicken tasted nice if only slightly overcooked, the beef is a large log of, well, beef and it was rather bland so I don't think I'll be ordering that again. One of the side-salads was nice and fresh while the other was wilted and we ended up tossing it away. To be frank, the beef kebab was a log of bland meat on a ton of perfectly cooked and plain rice, while the chicken was a few pieces (decent amount I suppose) of chicken on a ton of perfectly cooked but plain and bland rice. The whole meal was pretty underwhelming. If I were making suggestions I would say to maybe only give me 1/2 a pound of rice and perhaps throw in some kind of pita or tzatziki as the meats were pretty plain tasting. The Cost: Reasonable... ish, if a bit pricey for what you get. I believe each meal was 14.95 IIRC plus tax and for this I'd expect perhaps a few common sides thrown in not just a HUGE bed of rice and a wilted salad. The Bottom Line: I was super excited to try a new kebab joint close to home but there are other options that offer for more flavor and at the same or lower price point. read more

My son (15 yo) and I had dinner there last night, our first time trying this restaurant. "So much flavor packed into everything, even the rice!!", my son. His new favorite is the appetizer Tabule, which he said was so good, he wants to try making it!! The Owner is very kind and outgoing, he visited with us 3 times through our meal. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, knew the menu and had good suggestions on their flavor combinations. The Sous-chef brought us a course and visited with us also. 2 stars for a clean restaurant and a very nice staff so it does pain me to give a poor review, but I was rather underwhelmed after being very excited to try a new Mediterranean restaurant in Omaha. I order takeout and did the chicken kabob that comes with rice and a salad. The issue was the price and what you get for that it was $17 for 4 tiny pieces of grilled chicken, a pound of rice, a few onion shavings, and some shredded lettuce. I would expect this to cost about $6-7, not $17! They need to add maybe some fresh Mediterranean veggies and pita bread and hummus to justify the cost or lower the price You can see from the picture. Sorry for the bad review but hopefully this helps the restaurant be better and hopefully make it in a tough location and competitive Market. read more

We waited about 1-1.5 hours for our entrees to come and about half an hour for our appetizers. The main server was all over the place and yelling at the kitchen staff and across the restaurant. Came in expecting for an authentic mediterranean restaurant. What would that include? Music and service, once we arrive the setting has a bar which is fine, tv's that didn't play anything interesting. An overhead speaker with pop music that was interrupted with ads. The food was good not as great as other authentic mediterranean restaurants. The chicken was seasoned well and savory, as for the beef it was angus beef and it wasn't soft more like chewy. Besides the food the servers were a disappointment. One server constantly sniffled while she asked right away for our order, mind you this is 20 seconds after we sit down. She plopped down the menus in the middle of the table, it's rude and inconsiderate, you are supposed to hand each customer the menu. Her nasally voice and the constant sniffles made me feel uncomfortable, as I recently recovered from an illness. The waitresses were on their phones and would stare at you, they would often pour themselves drinks. The place is dead so I don't expect them to clean tables but they could've done something else then staring. The wait for our food wasn't bad. The waitress serves us the food but with her arms and elbows in our face. It's common sense and I don't have to explain how you would set a platter down in front of a customer. She leaves with a swipe of her runny nose, same hands mind you that carried the drinks and served us our food. I saw no hand sanitizer on her. If your sick stay home, it's not that hard. We're enjoying the food and taking photos of each other when she butts in and offers to take a photo, we would've accepted had it been in a different setting. And if she wasn't sick. She asked an abnormal amount of times if we were alright which is annoying. We get the check and the other server gets us the bill back and thanks us for coming. We have two plates that still have food on it, she didn't offer to bring any to go boxes for us. Once we're about to leave we scoot out of our chairs and she comes in and starts to take a plate out. Who in their right mind does that, it's not like they closed in 30 minutes. Personal space and respect are something that I expect from a restaurant. read more

Solid choice. Good service with tasty food. We tried the sampler appetizer which was good. The humus and cucumber were very good. I'm not a big tabouli fan but this one was good. The falafels are good, maybe a little dry but that's probably a personal preference thing. The beef loin kebab was really tender and tasty. The side salad was simple, lettuce and radish, but the lettuce was fresh and the oil and vinegar dressing was super tasty. A little pricey but the quality is there so you get what you pay for.
