Omahoma Bob's BBQ was the perfect stop after being in the car for 5 hours with my family, on the way to visit my brother at Wooster. The place was just what you would expect when it comes to BBQ. Chalkboard menu's, lots of sauces, and finger-lickin' good food. Although I don't remember what my brothers got, my mom and I split the pulled pork sandwich meal. Nice rack, Bob. Seriously, get the half-rack of ribs. Omahoma Bob's makes some really wonderful melt-in-your-mouth ribs. If you get the dinner, you get to pick from a variety of tasty sides too. Stopped in for lunch. My girlfriend order the pull pork. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich. The brisket sandwich is literally beef brisket on bread. The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. I smothered it in sauce to get it down. I thought it was a poor attempt at BBQ and would never go back. read more

Bob's has good BBQ at decent prices. We went there for lunch and got brisket sandwiches, which were really good, Texas beans and sweet potato sides, which were great, and chili. The lunch sandwiches were just the right size -- just big enough, and a good value, but not so huge that you need to sleep it off all afternoon. Very friendly place, you can talk to the owner who used to run a fantastic butcher shop in town until a couple years go. Definitely check it out when you're downtown. read more

Stopped in to Omahoma Bob's for dinner this evening. Boasting Texas-style dry rubbed meats slow smoked to perfection I went in with high expectations. The atmosphere is very casual with plaid picnic-style tablecloths and meals served in round metal trays lined with matching plaid paper. I had a wonderful portion of brisket with fried okra and mac and cheese (at the cashier's recommendation). The mac and cheese left a little to be desired (clearly Velveeta), but the brisket was awesome. Good value for the quality of meat. The BBQ is great. The service is average. Older workers are very customer focused, the kids could care less. Tables aren't wiped down as quickly as they need to be and dinner plates are expensive. read more

The place is disorganized and not run well at all. Ordered lunch sat down after 30 minutes asked about my food they said must have lost ticket. After 45 minutes asked for refund never got lunch. So if you like eat lite this is your place. read more

My families favorite place to eat in Wooster. We go there almost every Friday night and my kids love it as much as my wife and I. The ribs are amazing, Bob knows how to prepare good Texas dry rub ribs. To Terry M that's how dry rub ribs are, tender very good flavor but they don't have a lot of juice to them. I have eaten BBQ all over the world and this is flat-out the greatest BBQ I have ever eaten! Proof is the fact that our kids, while they will eat BBQ, have never been too enthusiastic about it, ate until they felt they were about to burst. Bryan C.s review is spot-on. This is one of those places that you want to keep to yourself for selfish reasons but then realize that they deserve huge success for their efforts. Took my grown Daughter there for her birthday dinner this past Wednesday. She had pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato casserole. I had the brisket dinner, cole slaw and greens. The pulled pork sandwich was a nice size but the brisket portion was about half the size I would expect. The sides were in small "Ice cream cup" sized containers. Again I felt they were half the size I would expect. The brisket and pulled pork were tender but not as smokey as I would like. On the upside the décor was nice and the staff were friendly and the service was good. read more

If you go...order the pulled pork and NOTHING else. I ordered a half rack of ribs, thinking they were baby back ribs...Unfortunately, they were not (The ribs were perhaps of the western rib variety...Thick and fatty...lacking taste as well). My husband and daughter ordered a half chicken each...The waitress came out and told us there was only 1 (1/2) chicken in their inventory...Would we like to order something else. The side dishes were awful...The salad was simply poured out of a bag of lettuce and they added one grape tomato. The French fries were cold...We actually watched the waiter take fries out of someone else's basket and put them in my daughter's basket...He had initially thought the fries went with someone else's order. All of our side dishes were mixed up on our four orders. When the waitress asked if everything was okay...I responded, "Well, our side dishes were all mixed up (My husband got my side dish, my daughter got my husbands...etc., etc.)". The waitress responded..."Oh, okay," and proceeded to walk away. We ordered and paid for drinks...The drinks are self-serve...When we didn't receive cups with our order, I asked if we could have cups for our drinks and the waitress said, "Well, did you pay for drinks?" And, yes we did!!! Barbecue sauce is at each table, in squirt bottles that are 1/4 to 1/2 full...When my husband asked for more barbeque sauce, the manager wasn't thrilled. All in all, we paid $60.00 and we will never return... Too many major mistakes. Had looked forward to good barbeque but the only edible menu item is the pulled pork...Too bad. read more
