Been eating Omañas tacos since they were in El Monte. Followed them here to Pomona. Still same delicious flavor. Highly recommend you all try these tacos. 5 's

Came here during lunch on a weekday. Ordered the Torta de asada, which was so filling. Reminded me of a Mexican In-n-out burger. Strange to say, I know! The service was good. I was the only one waiting for food so it came out quickly. The tables outside were perfect to sit at. The prices are fantastic, although they have gone up in recent years. Omanas is definitely fast casual or fast food because of how quickly it's made and how quickly it's in your belly. Good food for the price.

Been coming to Omañas for the longest and it's an absolute must! If I lived in the area, I would come here instead of King Taco. I love their tasty crispy tacos that are dipped in their famous salsa roja. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of meat and goodness that you get! Their burritos are giant, simple, and delicious! There's no place that has a salsa this yummy! Esta lo suficiente picante para saborearlo pero siempre le puedes agregar más! Would I come back? I always do when I'm in SoCal!

    Same owners as el monte?

Hello, yes we originally started in El Monte. The Omaña family currently only has two locations (Pomona & Covina). However, the El Monte location has closed down.

DO they still have a C grade?

No They have an A grade currently (2/20/21)

    Is this place still open?

Yes, but don't go alone specially @ night. Not in the best area & not the best crowd. Guy @ window is great & Chile verde & chili relleno burritos are the two reasons why I go.

    What's this locations phone number?

    Yee

To my surprise, I found out the entire restaurant is 100% vegan! As someone who was working in the area and thought there weren't many vegan choices around, this was an exciting discovery. For breakfast, I couldn't decide between my usual go-to, a breakfast burrito, or chilaquiles, one of my all-time favorites. The woman helping me recommended the chilaquiles and asked if I preferred spicy or mild. I chose spicy and paired it with a lemon cucumber chia agua fresca. The service was immediately unique. I wasn't asked for my name or given a table number, just told to sit wherever I'd like. Somehow, the staff knew exactly where everything belonged. A gentleman brought my drink, and by the time I returned from the restroom, my food was already waiting for me. The presentation was beautiful. The plate was loaded with rice, beans, chips, cheese, onions, bell peppers, and extra onions on the side. How did they know I loved onions enough to have a full size? The salsa was absolutely perfect. In fact, I thought about that meal for the rest of the day. The food felt wholesome, fresh, and made with care. The portions are huge, especially considering the very reasonable prices. And as a vegan, finding flavorful beans that don't leave you regretting your choices later is always a win! The customer service deserves special recognition. Everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was packed when I arrived, yet everything ran smoothly. The dining room and bathrooms were spotless, and the whole place felt like a beloved local gem. The food was so memorable that I came back the very next day for dinner before heading home. Once again, I asked for recommendations. I accidentally ordered the wrong item and realized it a few minutes later. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating, something that's unfortunately rare these days. This time, I ordered the potato enchiladas and borracho fajitas, plus a re-chicken taco as a snack for the drive. Everything was delicious. I also have to recommend the aguas frescas. The lemon cucumber chia was fantastic, and the watermelon agua fresca I tried on my second visit was perfect for the heat. Also they make random sweets during the week; such as pastries, cookies, etc. When a restaurant makes you come back the very next day, you know they're doing something right. Great food, generous portions, excellent prices, wonderful people, and a fully 100% vegan menu (that isn't all soy based). I'll definitely be back and highly recommend giving this place a try.

Indoor seating is also pretty limited, so my friend and I were glad to grab one of the small tables. I ordered the lengua and asada tacos and both were flavorful, tender, and loaded with meat. Then we were told that the chilaquiles and taco station was now open.. so we headed down to it. There was no one to great us at the station. We stood around for around 10 minutes and no one showed up. So at that moment I grabbed a bowel of menudo. Lucky me!! I also grabbed a long hair in my menudo.. my sister in law thought it was a piece of onion but it was not! It was a very long strand of hair. At that point we all tried our best to make the best of it and enjoy the mariachi and mimosas. Then when I returned to the taco/chilaquile station the lady was very rude!! She bluntly asked what we wanted instead of telling us our options.. and I said I'll have 2 chorizo tacos please.. she said where's your plate?? I wasn't aware that I had to give her a plate to serve me. It was an overall horrible experience. Especially because we were literally the only party in the entire place besides the mariachi. The mariachi and our server were the only pleasant people that morning. I will never be returning.
