My Hot Pot results with udon noodles.

This was my first time eating at a Hot Pot and I've been wanting to try this place ever since it opened. I went with my Grandson and we had a blast!! The waiter was so helpful and walked is through the process. We opted for both the Hot Pot and BBQ. The food was excellent! Fresh and plenty of options for both. I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back. It's a great place for several people to get together. There's so much food!!! Enjoy!!!

Having a Ombu Hot Pot near me is so fun! What people need to realize before dining at any hot pot restaurant is that it is essentially an elevated buffet. You order your broth but everything else is in a cold buffet lineup. You can order appetizers and meat to the table but everything else is in the "salad bar" style lineup. This location was great. We were seated quickly, the food came out fast, and the tables and buffet area were clean. (I personally like the ghosts-of-Wallaby's-past around the restaurant.)

This is a great place for a date night. Or a lunch date. All you can eat definitely fills you up! I got the mushroom broth which was filled with a ton of wild stringy mushrooms. That was a little bit too earthy for me. I think next time I will just do the vegetable broth. But most everything else we had was really good. It was a little bit pricey at least for lunch. But it's not bad every once in a while. I definitely will be coming back and try some different things.

Oh, how I love a good hot pot place...and one that's so close to home is even better! I've been watching as this building has transformed from the former restaurant to the current Ombu and I had the opportunity to visit with a friend last night. Since I've done hot pot before, I had an idea of how it works. But if it's your first time, you might be a little confused. There are no instructions and the menu is on an iPad that a staff member hands you. Don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly and excited to serve, but there was a slight communication barrier that made the ordering process a little tricky. We figured it out, eventually. Basically, it's all you can eat, and you select from multiple appetizers, broth styles and meats on the iPad-adding them to your "cart." When you're done, you checkout and submit the order, which sends a notification the the kitchen. While you wait for those items, you can visit the buffet to get noodles, fish, veggies and a few dessert options. We had more than enough food-and everything was delicious. We had both the beef and the miso broths in a dish that separated the two flavors. Pro tip-use the ladle to serve some up in your individual bowl. They come around and refill the broth frequently, so you're not going to run out. I'd recommend that you only order a few things to start-you can always add more as you go. But wasting food isn't cool, so don't go hog wild. We witnessed another diner celebrating a birthday with a big group. All the staff circled the table, played the "Happy Birthday" song over the loudspeakers and had large lite brite signs in celebration. It was fun!

Came here on a Monday night around 6pm and it wasn't very packed (which is a good thing.) we walked in, the hostess/waitress checked the kids heights and then brought us to our seats. She explained how everything worked and how to use the iPad to order. You could pick either a community pot or individual. We didn't think much about it so we said community. The selection of broth was decent. There were about 8 broth options. We ended up picking the most popular ones, the spicy and miso. The pot/broths were brought out within 5 minutes and got to boiling. While we waited, she told us we can go grab whatever goodies we wanted to put in our soup. It was kind of like a buffet bar. It was a smaller selection compared to other hot pot places, but it had most of your basics. The seafood was frozen which I did appreciate. I rather have frozen items instead of warm. The noodle choices were surprising! I liked that they had at least 1 of every kind of noodles. Veggie options were on the smaller side, but I'm glad they had crown daisy. They taste so good in the broth. In the middle, they had a sauce bar and it had about 6 different options. Once we sat down, our meats we ordered were already out. I will say, the chicken wings and sesame balls off the appetizer menu were actually really good, and hot! We got at least 3 rounds of chicken wings. Towards the middle, I decided I wanted my own pot of broth because the other people in my party were adding lots of stuff I didn't particularly eat so I was able to order that on the iPad. They came over and verify that we did want a separate pot and that it would be .50 more. I honestly wish I did this from the beginning instead but that's ok! They also had a small selection of dessert. I opted not to get anything since I was too full. Just a warning since we didn't see a sign anywhere, if you do have 6 or more in your party, gratuity will be added. We had 9 in our group and it was about 18% per check. They give you a piece of candy and for the kids, they got these cute sunflower balloons. Overall, our experience wasn't bad at all. I would go back. I believe it was $26.99 per person (adults) and $13.99 for kids under I believe 42 inches?

Having Ombu hot pot near us has been a dream come true! This location is All you can eat hot pot with a wide variety of high-quality meats, vegetables, appetizers, and desserts. It is very clean and spacious and the service is top-notch. We came here for Mother's Day and the owner gave us cute little hair barrettes after we Had our Mother's Day feast they are always so kind and patient with the kids in our group and somehow our kids always leave with some fun little balloons. Food : order the broth and protein from the iPad and then go to the all you can eat area for seafood, vegetables, and appetizers. we enjoy the fatty cattle, pork belly,& mushroom broth. Service : This place has created so many fun family memories for us already because of how kind, fun and attentive they are to our group every time. Ambience : clean, spacious and cute decor that the kids love

Refreshingly delicious. Good service, and then tablets for ordering help a good deal with accuracy and timing. We tried this and came back 2 days later for round two. Excellent food. My only advice is to keep the tablet screens cleaner.

Price was cheaper than other comparable AYCE hot pot places in NYC at 30.99 for standard tier and even a 23.99 weekday lunch deal which is a steal. This place was truly felt like a slice of New York City on our vacation BUT unlike NYC, the service was so friendly. Tip was included in the bill so we accidentally tipped again. We didn't know this until the manager came out and insisted she return the extra tip. If this is not a testament to great service, I don't know what is. Ambiance 5/5: Everything was clean. The place was large so tables were adequately spaced. Place was well lit. Warm decor and colors. Service 5/5: Great service. People were welcoming. Staff were stationed around the self serve bar to assist customers. Manager was super nice and even returned money to us when we accidentally double tipped. Food 5/5: They have A LOT of options here. There were two pricing tiers. Premium was 36.99 and standard was 30.99. Premium offered cuts of wagyu, shrimp paste, and leg of lamb for every 2 persons in your party. I felt like I would've been happy with just the standard tier since there was more than enough food. They have a self serve cotton candy machine, soda machine, make your own BOBA station, and ice cream. Even without the hot pot, there were AYCE pre-cooked entrees at the bar including soup, noodles, fried/plain rice. Also had AYCE appetizers like fries and fried chicken. The raw station for the hot pot included noodles, seafood, and veggies. Everything was fresh, clean, and delicious so you can't go wrong with this place.

Around 15 min later, some items were finally laid out and I got my tomato hot pot going. The buffet has lots of variety from vegetables to seafood when it was finally filled. I also had the bbq - bulgolgi chicken and beef. Both were sliced on the thicker side. Both tasted really good. Again, took forever to get that going. Even when I left at 12:40pm, there were only two items in the ready made food section and the rest of the trays were empty. Come here around 1PM for lunch. Hopefully dinner would not be a problem.

The appetizers come with the hot pot and there are plenty of options to munch on while your ingredients heat up. Korean fried chicken, edamame, and gyoza are my favorites. After ordering your drinks, soup base, and meats (vegetarians get a cheaper option), you can get right to the veg/seafood buffet. They have a great sauce station and a big wall of different kinds of popular ramen packs to use if desired. Once you get settled, you can keep ordering the meats you like until you get full. I like to keep a little note of what I think of each one so I remember for next time. The corn cheese was pretty good actually, but the korean fried chicken was hecka dense. The meat wasn't dense, but the starchy layer on the exterior was really stiff. Didn't taste like the other korean fried chickens I've had. The mushroom beef was really salty.. and the beef itself was really tough. Next, I feel like the selection here is pretty small. There's not a lot to choose from at the bar area, though I admit that I am pretty impressed by their ramyun collection. Their crabs were literally minuscle, and I find it extraneous that they serve their noodles in bits. Yeah, you read it right: bits. They cut up their noodles, probably because it is easier to pick up with the tongs. But, is it even noodles at that point? The staff was pretty lethargic today, even though it wasn't busy at all. Took me a while to get their attention for more meats. They do have some great meat, but in my opinion, it really is a hit or miss. Stray away from the meats that start with "MR. SHABU", because they're not the best. The ones I've had were too lean or sometimes tough. However, I think the cleanliness of this place is on point: shiny tables shiny counters, and dry floors.
