    Enjoying the food

Food is excellent and the service is exceptional I would definitely recommend coming here. The staff is friendly and helpful. they are very welcoming. Anytime we're are in SLC we find our way here. You cannot beat the price here! if you love hotpot or have never tried it this is the place to go! Amazing location and ambiance.

It's really hard to find a good authentic hot pot anywhere I go. I was visiting Salt Lake City this past weekend and came across China Town Market. There are plenty of little tea inside the market but this one stood out to me because no one was in there and I just wanted a quiet lunch. I got sat immediately and was presented with an iPad and was shown how their menu and ordering system works. Lunch is $15 a person and dinner (all day on Saturdays and Sundays) was $25 a person. Which isn't bad because it is all you can eat. We ordered two different types of broth. I got tum yum base and my mom got the beef tallow spicy and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Both of these were authentic and delicious. We picked quite a few different meet options, some mushrooms, vegetables, and what not. Service was on point and the restaurant was very clean. When in it Salt Lake City again, I will most definitely be coming back here.

Ayce hot pot. Service was amazing. She was so nice and explained the menu. Food was so good. Bone broth was great. Not spicy. There's a spicy broth and it was very spicy but my friends loved jt. Love the selection and how easy it is to order with iPad. Delivery of food were quick. Home made noodles was chewy but really good.

The place was nice, the ambiance was nice and calm, and people were friendly. Their sauce bar is way better that most places, and the meat was amazing as as well. Believe it or not, the best thing of the afternoon was the service that Baio provided. Their service was quick, and even though they had some technical difficulties with the orders the service checked personally to make sure that the orders were accurate and the meat kept coming. I really appreciated the service and will definitely be back.

Hero Hotpot has been here almost a year and finally got to try it. Service was a bit spotty, and the cold bar was a bit messy. Broth, meat & veggies were quite nice. I love how the plates are super large so make it easy to try other items. Once the food started coming out they came and refilled the soups and on my buddies spicy side they put the wrong broth in it. Will return when it is less busy and hectic.

Good prices for a buffet. Good, Fresh food. Broths were really tasty. Interesting decor, reminiscent of the inside of an old Chinese building/house. Bathroom was clean. Always a good sign. Staff was friendly and courteous. You order through an iPad at your table. And you keep the iPad on your table as you order more. On the negative side: Selection was limited. Understandable given the modest prices. There was a decent selection of meats. But, not many greens. The portions were rather small. So, we were constantly ordering more and always waiting. The waitresses were very busy running around, sending out new dishes of food and busing empty dishes. The sauce area could be a bit bigger. Or maybe just take away the poster with sauce recipes. There was a line of people all waiting on 2 guys who were trying to read every recipe on the poster, as if it's some kind of secret. Look, just put some soy sauce, garlic, cilantro, oil, and voila. Adjust to taste. 20 seconds tops. Shouldn't take 5 minutes. LOL. The meats were slow to come out after you order them. We were constant on queue for our meats. And by the end of the meal, about 20-30 minutes before 9:00, the meats stopped coming out. By 15 minutes to 9:00, we figured we were done. Our meats were not coming out anymore. But we were satisfied anyway. So we didn't bother asking why. I guess we should've came in 30 minutes earlier. Overall, it was a nice experience. We came out full and happy. Side note: the spicy broth had half the people in the place sneezing up a storm. 3/4 of us were constantly sneezing and blowing our noses. And I didn't even touch the spicy broth until the very end. I just wanted to taste it. It was very tasty. But the spicy part didn't hit me on the tongue. Rather, it went right to my sinuses and made my throat itch lol. No wonder the fumes were all tickling our noses.

Half regular half spicy broth. AYCE

AMAZING! So happy there is a dedicated hot pot place that has AUTHENTIC flavored broth especially in SLC. The spicy broth has a perfect spice/kick to it, you can add more spices if you'd like. Lunch is ~$17 for all you can eat (AYCE) and dinner is ~$24. I think the weekends are dinner prices regardless of the time. Arrived around 12 noon with a few open tables, however all the tables were filled by the time we left around 1:30pm on a Saturday. Plenty of options (all types of meat) and seafood choices. Some cuts of meat, seafood, or vegetable options are extra and not included in the standard pricing, but with an array of options we didn't need to venture out of the standard menu. You get your own iPad to place your orders from. There is a little bar area where you can create your own dipping sauce and bring it back to the table. The service was good and staff is friendly! This place is perfect to warm yourself up after a cold day on the slopes! Hopefully this place is still in business next time I'm in town again.

POOR SAUCE BAR MANAGEMENT!! The self serve sauce bar was not stocked with the most important ingredients like garlic and green onion. The rest of the add ins were also very low and not looked after at all. For someone who loves sauce this really dampened my experience. My meal felt extremely incomplete. The workers never came over to fix the sauce bar and even when my boyfriend pointed it out to a worker nothing happened. Overall a pleasant experience though. We had a group of 7 for dinner time which was all you can eat $26 which is honestly such a good deal. They had a good variety of meats and spices to choose from. The service was pretty good too. Not the highest quality meats you'll get but overall pretty good.

Even when…read moreit's really busy, a group of 4 can be seated within 20 min and there's Hall Pass or The Bruce around to walk to if you wanna wander. The appetizers come with the hot pot and there are plenty of options to munch on while your ingredients heat up. Korean fried chicken, edamame, and gyoza are my favorites. After ordering your drinks, soup base, and meats (vegetarians get a cheaper option), you can get right to the veg/seafood buffet. They have a great sauce station and a big wall of different kinds of popular ramen packs to use if desired. Once you get settled, you can keep ordering the meats you like until you get full. I like to keep a little note of what I think of each one so I remember for next time. These are my personal opinions: 1 Mr Shabu ribeye - tender lean, best 2 oyster blade muscle - meatier but only ok 3 Mr. Shabu beef kurubi eye - chewy, wavy, not good 4 Mr. Shabu pork single rib belly - fatty, bad 5 US wagyu beef round eye - tender lean, good 6 US wagyu beef clod eye - jerky striated texture, bleh 7 Mr. Shabu beef boneless short rib - oily but in a good way, little chewy, great flavor 8 Mr. Shabu pork collar butt - fatty but comes apart easy, ok 9 Mr. Shabu lamb shoulder - no Usually if I'm playing it real safe with just two, I pick 1 and 7 :) I hope you come to try all the different flavors for yourself!

The corn cheese was pretty good actually, but the korean fried chicken was hecka dense. The meat wasn't dense, but the starchy layer on the exterior was really stiff. Didn't taste like the other korean fried chickens I've had. The mushroom beef was really salty.. and the beef itself was really tough. Next, I feel like the selection here is pretty small. There's not a lot to choose from at the bar area, though I admit that I am pretty impressed by their ramyun collection. Their crabs were literally minuscle, and I find it extraneous that they serve their noodles in bits. Yeah, you read it right: bits. They cut up their noodles, probably because it is easier to pick up with the tongs. But, is it even noodles at that point? The staff was pretty lethargic today, even though it wasn't busy at all. Took me a while to get their attention for more meats. They do have some great meat, but in my opinion, it really is a hit or miss. Stray away from the meats that start with "MR. SHABU", because they're not the best. The ones I've had were too lean or sometimes tough. However, I think the cleanliness of this place is on point: shiny tables shiny counters, and dry floors.

We finally got the Melting Pot experience! Although our…read morehometown in San Diego has one, it gave us the opportunity to enjoy an interactive meal in a new location. Bridgette, our server was amazing! We looked up the menu before our reservation just to see what was served and EVERYTHING looked so good! There is a 4 Course option which is a great way to enjoy an amazing variety of the menu ( cheese fondue, salad, fondue cooking style & entree selection, & chocolate fondue). We opted for à la carte, since we wouldn't indulge the chocolate fondue. Bridgette was so patient in answering all of my questions, since it was a bit overwhelming just glancing at the menu. LOL. We picked the Fiesta cheese ( aged cheddar, Emmantelar, Sam Adams Boston Lager, house made salsa, and of course- diced jalapeño upon request!) We decided to add chopped bacon to the Fiesta. I wish this cheese was more gooey than how it was. We also got the Spinach Artichoke ( Butterkäse, fontina, Parmesan, vegetable bouillon, spinach, artichoke hearts, garlic, & Tabasco sauce). Now this was the ooey gooey cheese I was expecting to have. The Tabasco was very subtle. The cheese fondue accoutrements were Artisan bread ( French/ sourdough bread, baby carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, tortilla rounds, and my personal fave- DICED GREEN APPLES!). If you run out of any of these accoutrements, you can always get a refill! Hubby was so ecstatic over the Spinach Artichoke fondue- this gave us a reason to dupe this when we get back home! When it came time for the fondue cooking method and our entree selection- the both of us already felt defeated ( LOL ) within our second bites. We thought we could let our bellies rest a bit between breaks. We decided to cook the rest of our proteins and vegetables in our Mojo broth and call it a day! We took these back to our room and made a pit stop at Whole Foods the following day. We both got the Classic entree selection. And we're able to substitute the shrimp for other items. I went with the Wild Mushroom ravioli. And it was delicious! Mocktails are available too!
