This place is nowhere near a suite ambience. When we walked in, it smelled like bleach which made me think, oh good! They must really do a good job cleaning their rooms. I was sooooo wrong. ‍The desk had dust on top and the other counter was dirty as well. It had some kind of pink stuff on it, possibly make up. Luckily I had some clorox wipes and wiped a few things down. The shower turned on out of nowhere on its own as well and scared the s@&$ out of us. UPDATE: It turned off and on all night long. There was no way to turn it off. And also, we still don't have hot water from when I was told when I checked in, it would be running in a hour; it's been 3 hours since. UPDATE: We didn't have hot water at all. We weren't able to shower. The smoke detector was missing, and there was a hole in the ceiling. Please don't waste your money or time here. Booked their grand suite for our family's annual Xmas in July. The whole facility was rundown, every piece of wooden surface on the outside are rotted and dated. The suite was a decent size BUT apparently not finished with the renovation. There were 2 fridges in the suite, one was under the kitchenette counter that looked like it was from 1970s. The other one was standing on the corner with broken seal that render the fridge portion useless because it won't stay cold enough for anything. The bathroom was dirty and tiny shower. Also smell like mold because there was no fan to draw out moisture from the steamy hot shower. No soap was provided whatsoever. When I complained to the front desk, the kid with facial tats behind the desk offered me a jug of industrial sized body soap or UMNOUNTED body soap dispenser for my stay, and said that the suite is in the process of remodeling. Why the fluff they put paying guests on an unfinished room? He got his manager and the manager looked like just finished smoking some Meth in his office and offered me partial credit. The wall plug on the second bedroom was faulty and kept sparking and shocked my gf when she tried to plug in a night light for the room. Pile of construction dirt was sitting there at the parking lot, with 2 traffic cones marking it, 50 ft away from our suite door. The kitchenette has zero utensil. They put somewhat modern keurig coffee maker with some pods and basic condiments BUT no foam/paper cup for the hot drinks. They had semi-clear, thin plastic cup for cold drinks. Even motel 6 has better amenities and cleaner room than this place. It's my first and last time staying there. The only redeeming quality of this hotel is it's location which is right across from the bowling alley and walking distance from the village and other restaurants and bars in town. My friends and I stayed here for one night. The price was great and pics looked good. Considering it was only one night we weren't too worried. Upon arrival, the room seemed fine. Upon closer inspection, the floor was dirty, the air conditioning and ceiling fan didn't work. There is one bathroom located within one of the bedrooms... meaning if you're staying with people that need to use the restroom in the middle of they night, they have to enter your bedroom.. weird. The largest bed in the main bedroom was wrapped in plastic then had the sheets and blankets on top of it. During the night anytime you move, the mattress crinkles. It also gives murdery vibes. The bathroom was not clean. There was also no hand soap provided. The shower door did not close at all and only two bath towels were provided (for a room that sleeps 7 people). A keurig is provided in the kitchen area, but no water is given. Now to the best part - at 11:00 pm on the night of checkin the front desk called me on my cell phone to let me know that he needed my credit card info because payment hasn't been completed. Please note, that I had already paid through the email confirmation I received. I didn't question it and provided it again. I woke up Saturday morning to 2 additional room charges on my card. After contacting the hotel on Saturday evening, I was told it would be handled. On Monday, the additional charges were removed. I thought all was well. Today I was charged two more times for the room. I have spoken to corporate who stated that there's nothing they can do and I need to call my bank. I would 100% never recommend this place again. Unprofessional and fraudulent. Extremely upsetting. I will happily update once my refund has been handled. read more

This place was a pleasant surprise for us. Honestly, wasn't expecting much based on the reviews. We chose this place mostly for the price, and as we only needed a place to sleep for one night, we weren't picky as far as stellar reviews. All I can say is this: Omeo Suites is sadly underrated; I can only hope that my review will help boost it to the rating it truly deserves. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and made to feel welcome. Complimentary bottles of water were immediately offered to us and the process of check-in was demonstrated (they send you a text and the key to your room may be accessed using the link within the text). We were led to our room and everything was explained and taken care of: from how to work the smart T.V., to igniting the gas fireplace. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. It was well-equipped with mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee-maker. In addition, there were complimentary snacks and beverages to be found in the main lobby. Although the room was great, there were a few problems we encountered: the water for the bath/shower only ever got semi-hot, even when turned up to the highest setting. The outlets provided for the Keurig and microwave seemed to be overloaded and kept breaking, causing both machines to stop mid-cycle. As a result, we had to move the Keurig to a different outlet to resolve the issue. All in all, we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The price is right and, minus a couple issues, the room is perfect. Service is outstanding. I highly recommend this place if looking to stay somewhere close to the lake/ski slopes. read more

Stayed at Omeo Suites in Big Bear for the first time this weekend. The location was great! Few minutes away from the village, and plenty of restaurants near by with with a bowling ally right across the street. When we arrived for check in we were greeted with friendly service from the hotel manager Jason. He provided us with water and snacks for the kids! He also helped us check in quick with excellent service! The room was very clean! I was definitely happy with the Smart Tv with provided apps such as Netflix and Prime for the kids! Disgusting sheets and bad odor from bed. I don't think they were washed or I don't know what happened but this is unacceptable. The room lighting didn't work, and the place was beyond dusty. The mini fridge didn't work even when plugged in and also had weird odor. I tried to go complain to front office, but the manager wasn't there nor did they answer phone. I honestly wouldn't recommend at all and I would want a full refund. I am upset my children had to experience this. read more

This place is a shit hole! The paint on the "Luxury Hotel" is falling off the building in chunks. Our room had a gaping hole under the wall heater, smelled moldy and musty. The shower is missing pieces of grout, probably where the smell comes from. There are soft spots in the floor, we avoided for fear of falling through. No hangers in the closet. We tried to make coffee, blew a fuse, reset and tried again. The fuse blew again and we were unable to reset. No lamp or overhead lights after that. Bad experience over all. read more

Stayed in their 2 bedroom "suite" which is the property next to it. When we arrived the folks working there were nice looked like a couple with some kids/family there. We were shown how to retrieve and leave the key in a digital security box. Then we're we're told where our room/ little cabin was. We pulled up and... this is where things are weird and scary. Apparently there was a disturbance in the room next to ours and the "cops" broke down the door.... Thats what we were told. Door was broken off and screens were ripped. Couldn't help but look.. it was a disaster inside. We opened our door to what felt like an elevator to hell. It was absolutely smoldering hot inside. Quickly we opened windows to let fresh cold air inside there was snow everywhere thankfully. There are folks living there so you'll have neighbors. I thought this was a hotel? The inside was filthy. My children's onesie pajamas were black from the dirt on the floor. Only one of us took a shower. The bathrooms had mold and it smelled like it too! The refrigerator did not work. Kitchen had nothing but 1 wine glass. And if you're thinking of staying because it accommodates more people the 2 bedrooms are ok. The floor seemed more comfortable than the pullouts. Look I know staffing is low and there aren't enough people working! But don't rent rooms if you're unable to keep up with the work. Sketchy scenario to say the least. Did not feel safe. We were there on Labor Day weekend. Bathroom was not well equipped. Commode had overflowing water. Bathtub was slippery. As soon as I stepped in I slipped and fell on my back. My back is hurting and I have bruises on my back and pelvic area. There was no one on the front desk during our stay. We couldn't contact anyone before leaving. They have construction going on, which makes it more unsafe for the customers. I have been trying to call the owner but it's going in the voicemail. They are very rude not to attend their customers nicely. I will not recommend this place to anyone. I am in pain, swelling and bruises. Our first room was still dirty from the people before us: messy bed, wet towels, and some contact lenses on the desk and the floor. The TV remote also did not work (minor issue compared to everything else though). It seems like there is a bad issue with employment rn, since they only had two people doing everything for housekeeping and check in. We asked for them to clean up the room and came back 3 hours later hoping to go to bed, but they just moved us to a new room with smaller beds and a faulty heater. Also, you can hear everything that goes on upstairs in the first floor rooms, which made it hard to sleep. The staff was kind enough, but there wasn't enough people to really be helpful with any of the issues we faced. Cool lounge area in the lobby tho, I'll give it a star for having a foosball table. Overall, pretty crappy stay, but we got what we paid for I guess. TLDR; dont stay here :) read more

It's great it is awesome we stayed there on the 16 and we left on the 18th of this month everybody we were celebrating my wife but they are there it's a unique hotel in the haunted of the Big Bird city like it's closed everything in the site it's nice and clean I need some update and the management they're working on it and the owner Jesse and his wife and the others . What are you very hard to update the site this weed was clean and nice and it has everything the area it's awesome it's three minutes walking distance to the Main Street restaurants shops and somehow it 25 minutes from the main ski lounge .Food they have complementary breakfast . And a complimentary pizza . Service it's great and it's awesome and very clean . Ambiance it's good in the working on updating a lot of things it's good place to stay there . read more

We loved our recent stay here. The property is doing a great job updating rooms. The man who worked Thursday & Friday (basically the only staff member we interacted with) was GREAT. He saw us coming with our toddler and ran in to grab a blow up toddler mattress (soo awesome), extra blankets, pillows and towels to accommodate our son. Every time we left or came back he always said hello / goodbye and made sure we knew cold waters were in the lobby at any time. He always asked if he could get us anything. Didn't expect robes and slippers but we loved having them!! We loved our stay and will be back, you cannot beat the location here and a business owner who is taking pride in their establishment upgrading it to fit all guests needs.
