Went for a pedicure. I don't get to splurge often. In 25 years, this was one was one of the worst. I asked to have nails as short as possible. Little care cutting/filing and was uneven and my first gel polish lasted a week before it literally fell off, one by one. Encouraged by friends who were familiar with the place, and who had had gel polish before, I went back to them and explained what had happened. The same person came over to start the water. I explained gently what happened. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She said that I had been in hot water and that's why the polish came off. I said, "well, I showered and bathed daily, but I don't like the water very hot actually." She responded by saying that I had been in hot water and that's why it was ruined[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I asked if that was not ok? Apparently it is not. She said it twice more. In any case, I had not been. It's 100 degrees outside. A man overheard, and said if that happens again, come back and we will fix it for free. I said, it only lasted a week, and for the price, I didn't think that that was reasonable and I was hoping they would fix it this time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The woman got very upset and then scolded me for moving my foot and messing up the plastic liner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was uncomfortable and had to shift my weight. She told me I couldn't have the polish I chose because it was too clear. I picked a very similar color. She said that I should get regular polish. I was upset because I thought they would redo the gel since the first one failed. I asked why but she stated that I could do regular. Ok. She got quite upset and did the fastest pedicure I have ever had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt uncomfortable and she said, what was the matter? Was I tired!? It was not asked kindly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got another poorly done pedicure and sure enough, after a few days, my polish is already cracked. My polish typically lasts a month. I have worn socks and shoes and not done anything out of the ordinary. They ended up charging me full price and saying come back if it happens again and we will replace for free. I would highly recommend coming here if you enjoy crappy attitudes and service, being scolded and a business that doesn't care about the quality of its work. Three of us went in together. Two of us got the regular pedicure. They were not the same. My daughter had a much more in-depth care than I. When I paid for mine there was a sign that said if you pay with Venmo or Cash App you would get a 4% discount. Not only did I not get the discount, I was made to prove to them 5 times that I had actually paid! Since when does the nail technician send you out the door with wet nails and tell you 'be careful'. I only get reg. polish and have never been sent out the door before they are dry. I have been a client of OMG for 5 years. I regularly see Tracy. I have Psoriasis of my nails and Psoriatic Arthritis. In my 11yrs of wearing acrylics, only 2 techs have ever done my nails where they were not thick and did not lift in the first 2 weeks; Tracy is one of the two (the other tech owned a shop and moved). I have been to another shop in Spokane Valley and a couple in north Spokane... always issues with lift. Tracy has done my nails so well, that during COVID when all the salons were closed, my acrylics maintained strength without lift to the point I grew out for 8 weeks and had to cut & file them myself. The hot pink & gray nails pictured are the shortest I have ever had my nails (I am recovering from hand surgery and not allowed long nails). These were just finished an hour ago by Tracy. All the other nails, are nails I have had over the last year. I have never had an issue with cleanliness or politeness with the shop. The owners are very fun, kind, and fit my personality well, because they don't mind being sarcastic when you know them. For spa pedicures, I love the massage Lee gives! The shop is also NOT discriminatory toward those of us that are disabled with Service Dogs. They even welcome well behave Service Dogs in Training. I really don't recommend. I was recommended to this place, and unfortunately I was REALLY disappointed, and after reading many reviews, it appears I'm not the only one. I made an appointment, and the second that I walked in, somebody to the direct left of me goes "what do you want". I looked over and there was a man laying on the couch. I am assuming he would be the receptionist or something. He then yells "acrylic fill" and then told me to "go sit at four". I have never been here before so I didn't really know what "four" meant, but then I realized the numbers were on the backs of the chairs. I sat down and was given a book to look at colors. Some people were given entire rings of nail colors, but I was just given a small book for gel. The lady then starts filing her nails aggressively waiting for me to hurry up and pick a color so I chose one. Then she begins to work on the nails and does not talk to me but to ask me what I wanted. She was very messy and there was powder all over. I really appreciate how other places will use a towel and at least fold it or something, the hygiene here was really poor. When the lady was done doing my nails, she said "I'm done" and then met me at the front counter. I always like to tip good, and I really shouldn't have. And when I handed back my receipt with the tip, she barely said anything and just walked away which I found really rude. After getting in my car and really evaluating my nails, they look like they have already grown out for about a week. The gel is already bubbly and super warped. They look like fake press on nails. The acrylic is also really thick. Obviously this color was not a good choice either, but this place was definitely worse. I really don't recommend going here, even if there are good reviews. I went here for the good reviews and should've paid attention to the reviews like mine. I was going to go back today which is Sunday and get them redone but they are closed so I'm gonna go somewhere else. I paid for the 2nd highest pedicure for my boyfriend and I and it didn't really seem worth the $65. My toe nails are irregular shapes with one having a chip in the middle of the actual nail and two nails having polish on the cuticle. They were both one the phone during the service. There are definitely places that I feel are worth the prices but this one is not. read more

I arrived for my appointment and they refused to see me. They wouldn't even look at me. The tech doing my daughters nails was kind enough to tell me what was going on. The staff were refusing to see any of Pinks clients. Tracy felt so bad that she did both of our nails since we drive an hour to get there. I was crushed. I never complain, I tip great, and I'm friendly. Oh and did I mention I have referred 4 others to their location? I don't get anything fancy and in fact I usually say do whatever you want. Then when we called to schedule back with Tracy, the gal that answered the phone told my daughter they would be closed and refused to schedule and hung up! The owners were out of town, I don't think they would have let this happen. To sit there and have them speaking about me in Vietnamese and refuse to look at me was not what I expect out of professionals. To say I was crushed was an understatement. Please don't let the reviews fool you! This place isn't all that great! I'm new to the area so I used Yelp to help me find a good nail salon to go to & this is the place I chose. I went there sometime early during the week around 2pm and to my surprise it was PACKED! I was told it would be a 15-20 min wait, which was fine. While I was sitting there, another lady came in and was serviced before me. Now I'm not sure if she had an appointment already scheduled or not, so I just let that one go. Fast forward an hour later, I was finally seated and taken care of. I asked for a full set which a slim coffin shape with gel polish. When she was done, a hour and a half later, my nails were basically square, not all the same length, and a few of my nails had small bubbles in it (which I didn't notice until I got home). I asked the lady if she could make them slimmer, as shown in the picture, & she said it looked fine and still charged me an extra $5 for the shape. Fast forward again to a couple days after I initially got them done, my pinky broke because it was so thin! I went in to get it fixed and it was just a mess! It's not the same length or shape like my other nails & I was so disappointed. I pointed out the difference to the lady doing my nails & she said it looked the same without fixing it AGAIN. I'm new in town and OMG nails was recommended to me by one of the Starbucks baristas, just a few doors down from OMG nails. I found the shop to be clean and well-organized. They have a lot of stations and a lot of staff there, so There was no wait even though people were constantly walking in the door. They were able to accommodate the Saturday afternoon traffic, which is such a godsend! They did a good job on my nails. I say good and not great, because my French gel mani-pedi is a basic service, and frankly, kind of hard to mess up. My nails look great, though! My only concern was that it took about two hours to get me in and out. I'm not sure what is customary in the Spokane region, but I'm used to having one nail tech work on my hands while in the other works on my feet. I didn't see that happen here. It's much faster for the customers and doesn't tie up any more staff members since everybody is cycling out in half the time, they are available for the next customers that much earlier. no burden on the shop but a huge customer benefit, so I hope that they will consider this process. I do recommend OMG nails. Make sure you have sufficient time because it's not quick. There was a lady in there with a baby in a little car seat, and we talked about how much nicer it would be if we could get out and around an hour. The baby was adorable, and a really good baby, but towards the end it became difficult because the baby needed changing and became restless, which made it a lot harder on the baby's mom. My friend and I make it an every pay day thing to treat ourselves to nails and lunch. We have been hopping around for a while and I had been here before in the past. To help off set raising costs I bought my own gel polishes. Our first trip back here was great just like I remembered. I called yesterday for 2 fill appt as you now need an appt since covid. No problem. I decided this morning I would like a pedicure since my birthday is Monday. I bought my base, color, and top gel just like last time. I wait for my friend to show up and we were both able to get pedicures. After getting started im informed that it's still a $15 up charge to use the light. Im sorry what?!?! So I decided against the top pedicure package and went with the basic. I will wait and find somewhere to get a fill. Im sorry but an additional $15 per service is not okay to use a light!!!! I made an appointment yesterday for a pedicure and full set. Pedicure was nice and the polish was done well, but I still have rough feet and they never gave me sandals to wear. I just walked barefoot to the nail station and they put a towel down on the floor for my feet. My nail tech was super nice and we had good conversation, I didnt catch her name. I went with almond shape and a light color gel polish, I love it! The only downside is that she didnt push my cuticles back so it looks like I have a weeks worth of grow out after 1 day. Read the reviews on Yelp and decided to take a chance and I was not disappointed at all! They have a wonderful color selection and are so attentive. I give 3 stars because the other times I have been in for services have been pleasant experiences and unfortunately my experience today wasn't the greatest. I went in to get my acrylics taken off and have a clean up manicure. I don't usually go with acrylics but after having them for about a month and a half I was ready to go back to my natural nails. I had done some research on ways acrylic nails are taken off so I knew what to expect. What I had read was that there was normally a soak or the drill to file the nails down. When the technician went to take my nails off she took an unused acrylic nail from the box and flattened it and used that to pry the fake nails off of my real nails. As you can imagine this wasn't a very pleasant feeling having someone shove a plastic fake nail under the nails. It took a lot for me not to get emotional about the pain, but as she goes on forcing and prying these nails off I notice she had started to pry off my real nail and it tore and now I have my natural nail getting close to being ripped off. After this I definitely will not be getting acrylic nails again and am reconsidering returning to this salon. I just hope I don't get an infection from the "meticulous" nail removal oroce read more

I was going back and forth about what to rate this place. I finally decided with a two. I called and made an appointment a few hours before. That was nice and accomdating. We got there and got seated after five minutes. My water was tepid at best. My friends was too hot and my other friend didn't get anybody to start on her until 15 minutes later. Her feet were quite pruny before the tech showed up. None of our pedis were relaxing. Mine felt rushed. We atarted at 12:45 finished at 1:10. She massaged my left leg for 6 minutes and the other for for 3 minutes. It was inconsistent. After the rushed scrub and mask it was time for the towels. However, she forgot about me after the towel was on. She didn't come back until it was ice cold and my legs felt numb. She rushed when she remembered and quickly took the towels off and left. No comment, no words, jusy left. Didn't tell me I was finished. I put on my shoes and got myself ready to pay. My friend had her toes cut up and hurt by her tech. She was very rough and not very gentle at all. My other friend had the worst tech. Speaking a different language, shaking her head, and telling her she should not be getting a pedi. She also had asked for the deluxe but didn't get scrub, mask, or towel. So, not sure what that was? A polish change? My friend was charged $35 for her deluxe and I was charged $45. That was frustrating. I didn't know or realize until after we left. The credit card machine was malfunctioning and it took about ten minutes to get our cards through. Only positive note for this place is that they had clean utensils. Everything else was lousy. Especially overcharging me. read more

Do not recommend. It took them 20 minutes to seat me for my pedicure, and once I sat down, and put my feet in, the water overflowed all over the floor because they forgot to turn the water off. So I waited another 20 minutes for a young man to wipe it up before they started on my pedicure. No big deal. There was a huge dog walking around and walking up, sniffing me and sneezed on me. Let me point out, I'm allergic to dogs. Not okay. Not professional. When she finished, and it was time to pay, I tipped her $5 for a $20 pedicure... and she had the guts to tell me THAT WAS NOT ENOUGH! She said "I gave you good massage and you only give $5?" They're very friendly, but I'm not sold on quality. I came here for a gel manicure because I had to travel and needed my manicure to last through the week. Alas, only 6 days later, two nails are chipped and a few others have polish that doesn't extend to the nail bed. They told me that it would last two weeks, but I couldn't get a week out of them. I definitely don't felt like I got my money's worth there. Pretty sure this salon is using illegal MMA, if you don't know what this is I recommend looking up a full definition. Basically it's an illegal monomer used in acrylics and causes some real damage to the entirety of your nails. Another sign of this product is upon removal the acrylic becomes "gooey" and is extremely difficult to remove, I had them removed and still couldn't get it all off of my nail bed because of how hard it was to remove and how sensitive my nails had become...Came here looking to get something new and boost my self esteem, also to look nice for an event I was attending, and while it was fast and the guy made them look nice, price was cheap (which honestly says enough, you get what you pay for) but little did I know I was going to suffer immensely. The next day my cuticles started to itch and they were all swollen and red, I asked someone I knew who is a nail tech if this reaction was swollen and they told me to give it a day or two to see if it was a reaction or if my nails were just not used to having acrylics after so long of not getting them done. Each day I wore these it just got worst and worst, I started growing hives along my cuticles that spread to the pads of my fingers, they were still swollen, the tip of my real mail under the acrylic started hurting and becoming very dry and red, the base of the acrylic nail around the cuticle area started turning red underneath the nail. Overall became very painful to work with. Had someone remove them after a week and the damage is still being done. My nail beds are trashed, I'm surprised I honestly don't have an infection at this point given I was also nicked by the tools they used during my appointment. My skin is shredded, my nails look like they are bleeding, the hives have luckily started to go away. I once thought this was a decent place that cared about the equipment and products they use on clients but that is out of the window now! Came here a few years back to get nails removed from another nasty salon and was told how cheap the products probably were that were used on them (still wasn't anywhere near the reaction I just experienced) just to ironically come back to this salon and have them do the same thing to me. It was our first time so we made an appointment and still waited 30-45 minutes. The owner and his wife bickered the entire time we got our nails done and when I mentioned not being happy with the consistency of my color she said I was scaring her and didn't really offer a solution verbally. She did make the color better and I'm happy with how they look. I was extremely surprised when she finished and she told me they cost 85$ tho. My friend got the same exact design in a different color and her nail tech priced her at 75$ and they're completely different quality. I always get very colorful graphic nails and I've only paid that much once, on a much more detailed set. I asked for an explanation and the owner just mansplaned their menu. Price transparency is so important but he told me I should ask them how much before they start next time. They also didn't push back our cuticles and there's acrylic all over my skin. I've had my nails done by two different people at this salon. My mom has had three different people now. The others are good. But Tracey is amazing! Ask for Tracey when making an appointment. Really weird customer service. Felt uncomfortable the entire time. This was the first time I went to OMG Nails and will be the last. Set up an appointment for 4:30 pm, for a manicure/pedicure and another regular pedicure for someone else. The other person with me had a very fast pedicure and I felt like they were tended to a little less. They were kind of just left hanging like I was later on during the appointment but the woman with them was nice. My pedicure was fine, nothing crazy good or bad but I did leave with nail polish smudges on the top of my foot. Was asked if I wanted my sandals on and I said I would wait a few minutes. A few turns into almost 20, half an hour and no one comes by to ask if I'm okay or why I'm just sitting in the chair for so long. The woman who was doing my pedicure even went and got her own nails done in the meantime. Didn't get asked about anything, had to get up myself and walk to pay. We even confirmed multiple times in the phone call what we would get done in our appointment.
