The cashier had a terrible attitude and acted like taking our order was an inconvenience. The food was honestly worse. The crawfish tasted old and not fresh at all, with barely any real seasoning. The corn and potatoes were just overloaded with spice and had no actual flavor. It felt like zero effort was put into the food. I genuinely don't understand how this place claims to have "award-winning" crawfish--there was nothing about it that even came close to that standard. And somehow it got worse--we paid for water, and instead of even attempting to get it, the cashier immediately told us they were out only after charging us. He didn't even check, which made it obvious they never had any to begin with. That's just straight-up dishonest. Overall, bad service, low-quality food, and not worth your money. This is definitely a dive. If you're looking for something fancy, this isn't it, but if you're after good, spicy crawfish and don't mind a rough around the edges vibe, it hits the spot. Pros: The crawfish were spicy and full of flavor. They were a nice size, not small or overcooked. If you're into heat, this place delivers. It's BYOB, which is always a bonus. The young lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. Cons: Gotta keep it 100% it smelled like a bait shop when we walked in. No way we could eat inside because of the smell. They work through delivery.com. Driver called to say they were out of turkey necks so, looking to make it easy for everyone, I requested to double up on the sausage bag because it's the same price as the unavailable turkey. Just scant moments after 6pm I had my food in hand, one foam clamshell and a proper weight ziploc full of piping hot food. The to-go bag also held generous packets of ketchup and what passes for tartar sauce (mainly mayo, I know I am a yankee transplant pain in the a**) plus a shot each of OB/Cajun seasoning and garlic dip. FISH PLATE $10.99 The fries were not special, standard frozen but cooked properly. Think they had something slightly warm shaken on them because it wasn't ketchup I was tasting that had the lovely mildest heat. The fish also, slightly less seasoned but the crumb was gloriously crunchy even after delivery and my usual pre-dinner fumbling. SAUSAGE BAYOU BAG $6.59ea My double order came in a good ziplock, just the clean meat/veg without broth or a lurking pile of seasoning sludge. Doesn't mean there wasn't flavor, this is a nice medium for people who love heat and a threatening heavy for people who don't. The red potatoes are not the tiny c-size you could almost get away with inhaling with your back turned at a cocktail party, they're substantial. Corn's not the sweetest (again, picky midwesterner) but it was plump half cobs and well cooked. Sausage links are decent, not the three precious counted penny slices I got at another place. Saw green bits throughout the link, I assume it's peppers. All in all, I'm happy with it. Competitive price and tasty goods. So, this is our first time back eating at OMG in a while, prompted by a Facebook ad. All I can say is...not quite as good as when we first sampled their offerings. My wife and I both had the 12-shrimp platter with fries ($14.55). While the fries were hot and well seasoned, the shrimp were small, not as warm, and not as flavorful as we remembered them to be. Drinks were HEB sodas ($1.99 each) which were fine. Their cocktail sauce came in these packets and lacked some zing...we were hoping they would've upped their game and made their own cocktail sauce to set them apart. Decided to stop and treat ourselves on a Sunday, and let me tell ya - ain't nothing like a crawfish boil to clear your sinuses! The place isn't much to look at, it's an older suite so it just looks a little dirty & dingy on the inside, but they do have a walk up window and a couple picnic tables to sit out on the patio with your furry companion. We ordered the OMG Boil for 2 combo, and honestly splitting it in half just wasn't enough to fill me up. About 4 of the shrimp I ate were mushy/deteriorating when I peeled them, they were cooked through but that honestly tells me they were starting to decompose at the time of being cooked; so not super fresh. The crab clusters were good. The potatoes were very flavorful & the corn was sweet with a Cajun kick. They only have one flavor. We added 3lbs of crawfish and LIVE is honestly the only way to go. If you're a real deal mudbug eater, you know what I'm saying. The crawfish retain so much flavor in the head when their lungs are functioning as they go into that deliciously spicy hot tub to die. If you don't suck the head - you'd enjoy a frozen crawfish any day - we're simply just not the same. The bugs were on the puny side, and that's was really my only gripe. They go pretty heavy on the cayenne powder in the boil, so you can't taste much else while they're straight from the pot. Overall, it was good enough but nothing like what I get in N'Awlins, BABY - Cajun Seafood on N Claiborne is the bomb - but for SMTX, this'll do. read more

Thick, crunchy crust, with a seasoned batter on the catfish, which was cooked to perfection and the shrimp were tasty and also perfectly cooked. The only thing I was missing were hush puppies, but that only lasted a moment. The Crawfish were also seasoned well, a good size, and not too hot. I'm a wimp. My first mud bugs of the season! Super spicy small to medium mix $8.99. They had great flavor all the way to the tail. The heads were juicy. The added corn and potatoes were spectacular. The potatoes were large, spicy and buttery soft, a true great addition to the Crawfish. They don't have po boys here; just fried shrimp and fish plates and I believe gumbo. I think they weighed heavy for me my two pounds were massive and filled the circular drink tray. Another guy behind me got 3 lb and he commented his looks exactly like mine. I was hoping the price would come down by now but you know what I don't think I could have eaten another pound two pounds satisfied me, especially with the corn and potatoes. I may have the sausage next time. And there will be a next time. I think I found my little fix for my boiled crawfish cravings. By the way the barq's root beer was ice cold. I'm a sucker for seafood and I'm super glad this place opened up! If you're craving good Cajun cooking this is the place to go! Parking absolutely sucks! Be sure to drive around the lot to find the safest parking for your vehicle. I drive a truck and it was very tight pulling in and out of that little parking. Also, right next to the liquor store, last thing you want is a drunk student with no insurance scrapping your vehicle. That aside, I saw this place and I had to try it out! I ordered a pound of crawfish and 1/2 of shrimp. The fact that they'll let you pay for half a pound is already cool enough, many other establishments only let you order by the pound. This place caters to what ever you want. Prices seamed reasonable for this time (feb) of the year. I would love bigger crawfish, but I also know it's tough earlier in the season. Still a place you should try nonetheless! Seating sucks as well, it's probably best to catch a spot outside since it's better ventilated and gives you more of that bayou experience. Heard about this place, had to check it out. Ordered multiple plates to see what we liked best. Here's what we thought. The shrimp boiled bags were okay. Shrimp had good seasoning. Potatoes and corn not so much but were alright. You could tell these items were not as fresh as the fried. The sausage in my partner's boiled bag was not good. The fried shrimp were not heavily breaded and hard like most places. I preferred the boiled shrimp over fried ones. The best thing I had was the fried catfish and fries. The fish was fresh out of the grease which is important to me especially when it comes to fried food. The fries had cajun seasoning and were thick cut, yummy! They ran out of gumbo, something I wanted to try. As far as condiments, only offered packaged ones. Didn't see cocktail sauce which I think would be nice to have. Very few tables (think I counted 4 total) which wasn't a problem because we "made friends" with someone who was seated alone at a table for four. When she left we allowed a couple to sit with us. Regardless, be prepared to wait or call in. For those who like to partake, apparently it was okay for spirits to be brought in. I'd go back but would stick with the fried catfish plate. read more

I didn't like that condiments were not made readily available or in customer view. Without a menu, it was hard to know what I could ask for. I noticed a customer drinking a beer, so I was annoyed when I asked if OMG Seafood sold alcohol, and the employee simply replied "no." I had to ask if the establishment was BYOB before the employee explained how it was possible for me to enjoy a drink in OMG seafood. With a liquor store for a neighbor and a convenient store located across the street, you'd think the staff would send me over after I clearly explained that I wanted a drink. The employees were not informative or helpful about the menu for first time diners. Lastly, the restaurant is very small and quite odorous. The restroom was tiny and disgusting. The hand drying towels are located on the back of the toilet tank. Would recommend ordering catfish to go from OMG Seafood. read more

They were fresh and had the perfect amount of spice I recommend getting a cup of spice to make it extra spicy and a lil thing of butter for dipping. Simple place with outstanding food. Check the menu before coming, they don't offer a big variety but what they do have is top tier. We had a quite a few dead ones/ non edible crawfish but this is normal!! Not a place I will come back to. The employees looked tired, depressed and unmotivated. (Probably to lack of A/C) The food was just ok. First off the place did not have A/C. I ordered a crab plate and was told it would take 30 mins. So I left and came back. The register guy was present but not overly helpful, didn't greet guests upon entry and never asked if my order was for dine in or take out. You get the idea of customer service....When I did get my crab boil bag I could see it didn't have any butter and had to ask for that. Thank goodness there were some picnic tables on the side of the building in a covered area. It was actually cooler there than inside. The crab was just ok. I could tell it had been frozen for a while prior to cooking. One of the corn cobs was old (rubbery and hard to chew). Shrimp and potatoes were good.
